It's a CocaCola vs Pepsi argument.

I do prefer CocaCola but hey that's just me.

Three times the women and a much better chance of success.

Your use of the word 'and' indicates there are two different reasons.
So what are the reasons for your opinion of  'a much better chance of success' that is unrelated to 'three times the women?'

Just curious.

Or did you mean to imply:

Three times the women, thus a much better chance of success.

A beautiful woman is pleasant to look at, but it is easier to live with a pleasant acting one.

I believe I meant the "and".   My reason for saying that is as mentioned the larger population of Russia means there are three times the available women.  The and part refers to the part that far more men decide to go to Ukraine because of the lack of a requirement for a visa and the greater ease of travel.  (Based on the discussions I have seen the visa is the biggest factor)

So, Going to Russia gives you a larger number of women to chose from AND far fewer men to compete with.

I also believe that if someone goes to Russia they are far better going to the more out of the way places like Omsk and Barnaul rather than Moscow and St Petersburg.   I think the same applies to Ukraine.  It is probably better to avoid places like Kiev and Odessa and go to places like Donetsk, Lviv and Lugansk.

Of course there are supposed to be 100,000 +/- women on the dating sites and most guys look for one woman and that one women who is right for that person can be anywhere.

chivo,

Apologies for the re-direction. Mine was intended to address the constant self-promotion of one of our Commercial Members. One who I believe has enormous potential to make genuine contribution to RWD and her members - IF he can ever learn to lose the constant adverts. I thought I might be more effective if I addressed it in-thread, rather than the private communications we have had in the past.

No problem Dan. I also understand it isn't the first or last time a thread goes a little off track. Especially when Ed and Jack are involved ;).

I see you have covered yourself with that last comment ;D.

I don't subscribe to your theory that it's any better to search in far off places as opposed to the biggger cities, but we've all been down this road before, havent we?

Well Chivo I have to go mostly by my experiences and I did make a few more trips than most guys.  I can't say I ever met a good cantidate in Moscow or S.P.  In Kiev I did meet a few who were good women.  The ones from Moscow and St. Petersburg were scammers or serial daters.  I am sure not all women in those two cities are in that catagory however and some men have met and married good women from those cities.  I do think a beatiful woman in those cities who gets herself on a few dating sites will have no shortage of men who will wine and dine her in the hopes that something will develop.  I do think that it does tend to make them a little jaded and to give them somewhat of an entitlement attitude.  You can have the most beautiful woman in Russia in a really out of the way place and she will have no problem getting men to go there and meet her but they willl be more serious men and fewer of them.

The very last woman I met in Moscow told me that she had moved there from Argansk (I probably am not spelling it right).  She told me that there her girlfriends, even the very pretty ones, could not get a date to save their life and that since she had lived in Moscow she had received over 20 serious marriage proposals.  Now let me add that this gal was a little overweight and not all that pretty and combined that with an attitude that was a turn off for me and I am sure for others.  It seems to me that having listened to that conversation that someone would be far better off going to Argansk to meet women than Moscow.

If you are doing a VO, it doesn't really matter where the lady is from.

Trying to get a Moscow lady to meet you on short notice has about as much chance for success as a guy from Belgium emailing a Cleveland lady from Yahoo personals and saying "Hi, I'm in town for the weekend.  Want to meet me at Friday's tomorrow night?".

In Kyiv, about 1/3 of the ladies I called would meet me on short notice without any emails or pictures.  It was even more surprising that they would come into a strange man's apartment.  One lady came over in the middle of a huge snowstorm.  She was attractive, maybe a few pounds overweight.  I asked her about her job.  She said they made copies of CD's in some warehouse.  I thought it was legal there as they were sold on every street corner, but she said it was still illegal.
