I was watching "Wheel of Fortune" yesterday.  At the end of the show, Vana was telling about her toilet.  She said, when she walks up to it, a motion sensor raises the cover; the seat is padded and heated.  When done, it flushes automatically.  I guess the only thing it doesn't do is wipe for you.  Although, once, I did see a drawing of one that did!

I also remember a hotel that I stayed at in Crimea near the airport.  The only plumbing in the hotel room was a sink.  Walking down to the end of the hall, there was a room with toilets.  It was not marked in any way to indicate male or female.  There was only toilets, no lavatories, no showers.  Not only was there no toilet paper--but no toilet seats!

I also travelled by car in Ukraine and Russia.  Some restaurants outside of the cities had no regular plumbing, only out houses!

In Turkey, I saw some very odd toilet facilities.

Most of the toilets I saw in Russia and Ukraine in people's apartments had seats but no covers.  The commercial toilet seats here must have open fronts and no covers.  Also, the bowl must be elongated.  Perhaps installing a commercial toilet in a home or apartment would help some people

The person who owned the condo before my wife and I bought it had installed one of those Japanese bidets in our bathroom. When I first saw it I considered removing it but I'm glad I didn't - it's the coolest and most refreshing thing ever. I'll put this as delicately as possible, but some of my wife's female friends have reported that the pleasure of using it goes beyond what the manufacturer intended  ;D

I think the manufacturer knows just what the pleasure is.  There are so many different models from exotic marble to economy models.  Here's some bidets on Ebay right now....bid-et away---

Thanks, Sandro. I now realize my understanding of the slang term "the trots" has been off all these years.  :P

Oh and i put a shiny metal trashcan next to the toilet and surprisingly it is covered in traces of tiny droplets of pee, that apparently splash everywhere when someone pees standing up, i never knew that before. Does it happen if you pee on the water at the bottom or should you pee on toilet wall to not splash? :P

This depends from man to man I suppose.  But, in my experience, it is not the splashing of the pee in the water or on the bowl that causes the tiny droplets of pee to appear on the trashcans, on the floor and rug etc.

Rather, as men age the stream becomes less concentrated and focused, and tends to start spraying the tiny droplets in all directions from the very beginning of the stream.  As you mentioned, they are not really visiable so the man doesn't know it is happening until he or someone views the adjacent trashcans, etc.

In short, the western style toilets found in homes are simply not designed to accomodate the stream of the standing man, no matter how careful he is or how good he thinks his aim is.  Young boys don't have the spray problem, and they are closer to the target, but their aim is usually the problem.

And for teenage boys, the situation with frequent erections makes the situation impossible.

Let's see now . . . what was the original topic here??
