And, I didn't want sex for one night.  I require a three night minimum.
:D

But do you also have a three date minimum before commencing rabid sex?

No, in all seriousness.

I have had sex 15 minutes into first date, and not until 6th date or so.

I am very flexible now (compared to youth) and mostly just let the woman decide.

These emails were like 6-10 paragraphs. I forgot to add. She speaks fluent English.

I mean, if she's a player than what would she be gaining? I mean, I've been off that website for 2 months. No revenue for them. Not a dollar to her.

Also, she had VK, Facebook, etc. the whole works. Tons of photos. Trust me, I'm not naive.

Me messaging her friend was either dumb luck or something sinister like you said because I recognized her after in group photos.

This is too little too late, but while she was  "away from internet " and phones, did you happen to check her VK page to see if she had been logging in during her absence?

There are places in UA that will get no phone reception unless you have a landline, and that costs about your first born SON to have it installed.

True. This spring my parents moved out from city to dacha (as both retired now and finally this year they managed connect dacha to gas supply and install central heating). Of course there is no landline phone and probably never will be (first born SON is much cheaper then istallation of landline there ;D). Since they moved I cant reach them on mobile either due to so bad reception. Mum calls me and to do so she takes a walk of about 5mins from house. Other family members that live in Ukraine still time to time can get through to them over bad receptiion but international phone calls dont go through at all. And their house isnt located somewhere in the middle of nowhere, its in village and only about 70km away from Kiev.

MissA, do they have Kievstar? My inlaws say this will give you the best reception. Of course, it is more expensive than Life:), but at least they may be able to use their mobile without having to walk away from their house.

Reception is dependent upon terrain and nearness to a transmission tower.

So the best provider to have varies from location to location, depending on where the individual towers are.

I see the idea of which provider's reception is best in the USA argued endlessly on some forums.  And it is very silly because it is merely based on where the towers are.

Not to sound condescending, but I already knew that.

The reason I mentioned Kievstar is because they have installed antennae (towers) everywhere in UA, including the countryside, for the same very reason; to beat the cheaper competition who rely on the city's transmission towers. This way the can reach those away from the city.

Honestly, I'm kind of in a lose-lose situation. What do you advise I do?

Back up five yards and punt.
Then go to the next page.

I concur, Kievstar provided the best coverage, even some of the time when on long train rides.  However it is nowhere near 100% in rural Ukraine.  It did not work at the dacha about 25 miles out of Cherkasy, however walking about 100 yards to a higher spot did provide marginal coverage vs. no coverage.  It works well enough that I will be using it again over the next couple of months.

Maybe I need to try to convince my company that we really should talk to Ukrainian companies (installing and upgrading mobile cell sites is a big part of what we do).  I did hope to arrange a meeting with Telekom (?) Ukraine when I visited, but didn't get a chance.

Yes, even with GSM technology (the Ukrainian and Russian standard) there's only so far that coverage will reach if the terrain is not sympathetic.  UMTS has far less range in most cases.

My late friend who lived in Kharkiv kept telling me that there was a plan in UA to have national coverage for mobiles with 3G in the very near future. Where is it right now? Who knows?

When I say they have installed towers everywhere I mean just like Verizon and AT&T. They offer coverage but not 100% coverage.  ;)

Of course, compared to the US they haven't installed that many. But compared to, let's say, 3 years ago then yes, almost everywhere in UA.

One would hope that they would be waving the wads of cash!

LMAO

About 10 years ago we had a delegation from the Verkhovna Rada at my place of work. Since I was married to a UA national the honchos asked me to join them at the meeting. Topics of discussion were many regarding the environmental field. After the meeting was over one of the representatives asked me very seriously if NY had any money available for research projects in UA. Obviously, I told him that any research money would be spent in NY. "What a waste of time" he said. My take was that they came here looking for money.

I'll try to find some of their business cards.
