Possum,  I value your thoughts. May I reply tomorrow on the subject of Trinity, if I may. Russians don't pray to Trinity, Possum. The notion of Trinity and Christ are inseparable. But let us continue tomorrow, for it is way too late.
This discussion and topic is  vast. Talk to you tomorrow, my friend.

Ludmila, it just occurred to me that religious talk has been banned on this board, so we better tone it down before we get muzzled.. ;)

ETA: just to clarify, I was referring to the Orthodox prayer that goes, 'Пресвятая Троице, помилуй нас..' :)

Religion and politics are usually not allowed, as the subject tends to go up in flames once people start to dig in their convictions.
That from a stuffy West European man.  ;D

Ludmilla,

Threads quite often go all over the place but, you asked about networking and go to friendship, then to religion all on the same page. Possum's idea of American friendships is pretty close. I find it much the same in Russia. My fiancee has many people she refers as acquaintances whereas in America we may or may not call them friends but they are in essence the same thing. I have many friends but I have few close friends. An acquaintance is someone I know but likely do not interact with very much at all.

Those who friendships depends on the amount of business and commerce he/she moves their way, has no friends. However, they are not mutually inclusive or exclusive. As an example, I don't do any business with any of my very close friends (I prefer it that way) but, I would gladly do business with some very close friends if it were a mutually satisfying arrangement.

Networking associates in a professional arena aren't automatically or necessarily friends but, can include friends.

Networking as a concept is pretty basic.

If your toilet is stopped up you can either call the Zhek or, maybe, remember that the guy across the street, Ivan, mentioned he has a 4 meter snake at his house and run over there to borrow it. Which one will get your toilet unstopped more quickly?

It's just one more facet of the efficiency we can achieve through more complete information about the world around us.
Pick and choose carefully among the advice offered and consider the source carefully. PM, Skype or email if you care to chat or discuss

Thanks for the feedback, fellas!

2tall Billy,I already like you, even if you are a shorty ( I was watching your video a la S. Cubric with baited breath. BTW, were you "saved", eventually? or...?)

Yeah I was saved but the babushka gave me a real head cold.

Once you find that Ivan meant he has a python as 4m snake, you will wait for the Zhek  :P
