CanadaMan,
Turkey is popular with the FSU as it is easy to get the visa, however you can expect daytime temp. to be around 12 - 20 C or roughly 50 - 70 F in Alanya. We went to the south coast of Portugal a couple of years ago and it was a little better than that but still not what I would call summer weather. It is quite a contrast to Perm it is sure. Also I am not sure how easy or difficult it is to get a visa to India (if even needed) for someone from the FSU, but it is an interesting trip, Goa for example is in the 70's night and 80's in the day. Much shorter travel for her, very friendly people also. I am not sure what FSU people think of India (might be a problem) but if you like places, which are a little out of the mainstream and good value, it is worth a look.

My friends just came back from India and were very disappointed because of too much smog and they were not fans of Indian food. I personally loved my vacations in Sri Lanka. But absolutely every Russian comes back from India with strong stomachaches, I think because of different water microflora. I would exclude India for this reason, do it another time.

What about Brasilian carnaval 2010 - February 13-16? She will love Rio de Janeiro. Russians do not need a Brazilian visa anymore. Turkey sounds boring to me.

I don't remember I was sending you any bikini photos  ::)

Ooops about Brazil. There is an agreement but still not legit. They cancelled Venezuella and Argentina recently. Anyway a visa is not a problem.

I'm taking you to Turkey. If I take you to Brazil, you'll probably party too hard and forget about me.  ;D

RussianWind, Seychelles is fine my love. Just let me know how much money I need to send for you to get there. I havent talked to you on the phone yet because I know few Russian women have them. Its okay, I know in my heart you are real. I believe all the letters we have exchanged are the truth and sincere and I believe you when you tell me how much you love me. Maybe you could come here to me instead? I am sure a travel agency can get you a visa and you will love my 14 by 70 trailor(thats feet my dear not meters) and make a cozy home for me :P Much better than the grass hut you live in and share with all your relatives :D I have fallen in love with your avatar. Please dont make me wait much longer, I have little money left to send to your agency :-[

Is Seychelles the only hot place where you can have Sex on the beach?

Wouldn't El Sharm in Egypt will do for you?

Canada Man

Don't worry about the long trip for her. RW will endure such long trips and will never complain about it. Make sure you stay long enough to get to know her better, enjoy the holiday and a RW of her age is most probably looking to find a partner and very rarely is in this for just a good time. Then if you think she is very promising start plans for another trip at spring or summer time back to Perm to meet her parents etc. A visit of her to your place would be more appropriate if it is possible, so she gets to know more about you and the place she will be living, if you ever get married and that will help her to make up her mind or not.

Before you go any further, I would suggest you talk to her to find out her view regarding her moving out of Russia, if your relationship develope and you reach that state. Has she thought about it?

International relationships are very expensive and you need to know NOW her view and not be let down later when the enormity of her decision will hit her!

Good luck any way!

RW,
You know I was going to mention Seychelles after your post yesterday, as I didn't mean that India is a dream vacation, just the OP said he didn't want the lady to have to travel too far and they were looking for someplace warm. Also of course I got the impression that most of the posters here are concerned with prices. Seychelles is not the discount vacation. I have never been there myself, but it is on my list.

Of course not. First tried it in the centre of Paris...  :P

Gylden I like your Goa idea. You are right about cost, such vacations are not cheap but still not more expensive than money. We live just once after all.

Sex On The Beach... not a bad drink...

believe it not, when I was living in Australia there was semi-popular drink called...
Cum On A Nigger's Tit
No joke! It was actually pretty good. I'd say I was shocked to hear it, but I'd already seen Faces of Death. :o
I'm sure I broke the rules just by posting that.

Brasil is a possibility, but as was mentioned they still need a visa to go there, even if it might be easy to obtain.
We're looking to travel early January so the festival would be out of reach.

A friend in my city is recommending Dominican Republic, a favourite vacation spot that he goes to. Anyone have experience with this country?

Thanks Wiz for the tips.
After thinking it through and talking with her too I'm definitely leaning toward the Caribbean for the vacation. It's warm/hot there (she really goes for that) and as you mention, the long trip will be a sacrifice that she will probably be glad to make for the rewards.
We're looking at a 10 day trip right now.

A visit of her to your place would be more appropriate if it is possible, so she gets to know more about you and the place she will be living, if you ever get married and that will help her to make up her mind or not.

For sure, but in our situation, unless you can come up with some novel/creative ideas for TIES TO HER COUNTRY, it will be impossible for her to get a visa to Canada unless we marry.
BTW, would her 19 year old daughter (turning 20 in January) be any form of a strong tie that a Canada immigration officer would consider? She is living with her now and supporting her as she goes to nursing school.

Thanks. We had a good talk about this before I left Russia. She is ready and willing to make the move.

Yes, I thought the same, it becomes popular among Russians. There are plenty nice places in the world they still don't know about  ;)

It was the same for me and Anna... We went to Quebec for a few days and in the old town, Anna told me, it is ok, I can follow this group, they are from Russia...
During summer, one couple ask us their way after firework display, they switched from english to Russian when they heard Anna trying to answer in english...

At the cometics counter in Nordstroms, on our commuter train into Chicago, in Sabino Canyon in Tucson, by my dacha in Northern Wisconsin.

They are becoming as numerous as the travelling Americans.

Plan next meeting as soon as possible, better invite her to for a vacation in the third warm country with sun, sea, palms and mochito. Leave the horse at home  :P

OK RW, we took your advice and just had a nice vacation in the Dominican Republic for 10 days.
What's next?

P.S. We did leave the horse at home.  :)

How do you feel about each other? You are so quick CanadaMan, your lady is lucky

We left the DR last night. My GF at 9:05 pm and I at 10:00 pm.
As of this post she still hasn't arrived back in her city!
She's due to arrive in less than an hour, almost a 24 trip.

It was a crazy trip with lots of adventure, good and bad.

Things were going along very nicely and then four days into the trip the earthquake occurred in Haiti. We were just 250 miles away from it!

It totally freaked my GF out. Before it occurred she was having problems sleeping because of jet lag, different climate, party noise etc.. But after the earthquake she feared for her safety and couldn't stop thinking about all the victims of the quake.

And just after the earthquake occurred the weather took a turn for the worse.
Sunny days were replaced by clouds and wind. We had three or four days of rain and high gusting winds at night that made sleeping almost impossible.

Despite all these dark clouds I didn't want them to deter my plans to propose marriage to her.

As one might have expected, she thought I was in too much of a hurry with marriage plans and so she wouldn't give an answer.

I gave here a bunch of reasons why I was moving at the fast pace that I was but she just couldn't cope with everything that was happening there.

I would really like to hear from RW and the other women here to get their perspective on the situation. (I know the guys won't be able to hold back with their comments but it's the female side that I'm really interested in learning about).

If you've followed my previous threads you'll get a feel for where I'm at in life, that I'm not looking forward to a three, four, five visit scenario of trips to Russia to date etc..

So again I ask, with all sincerity, what next?

CM,

As you thought the men probably will chime in and I'll be the first. Your lady certainly gets a free pass. Proposing and expecting a sincere answer under those conditions I suspect were pretty taxing. For her to have to take all that in, EQ, DR, a proposal and give a sincere answer had to be difficult at the least. Not the most romantic setting. Go visit her in her hometown where she is warm, fuzzy, comfy and safe

my two cents
