The bottom line is it shouldnt have been said to begin with. BF had already taken a shot at the poster about her letter writing. I still dont know why BF felt compelled to ever mention ass in the first place. Maybe its a Russian woman vs Ukrainian woman thing but I do know that if BF didnt mean it to be taken that way and out  of context then she's had ample time to say it here and that hasnt happened. It certainly wouldnt be the first time a Russian women had taken a shot at a Ukrainian women on a marriage forum. Maybe I'm wrong. I hope I'm wrong because there is no room for that kind of so called competition here. Again if BF didnt mean it in a derogatory way then she can simply say "I'm sorry, that wasnt the way I intended.

The girl said in her first post that she might be able to help some people. I personally dont see anything no more silly with that than I do about 99% of the other stuff I read here. I dont think I'm reading any more into it than what it is. You were trying to be whatever it is you were trying to be with that totally senseless remark and got called out on it. B/F, you recently remarked I would be one of few people here you'd sit and have a beer with. Ironically, you are probably one of the few people here who would sit and have a beer with me. In that positive spirit, I reenter.

As Gator pointed out much more eloquently than I ever could, the comment was out of sync with your usual insightfulness. It came across as "King of the mountain" stuff which, where other Russian Woman are involved, just very occasionally, your posts do. More importantly, it hit me thus, outside the flat earth of America, there are other linguistic interpretations of various words, Ass (outside America) can mean the lower (ever lower as we age) section of our back but it also (and it always hits me thus when I first read it here and must check myself and allow for American English) means Ass as in Donkey as in Mule as in Dumb Idiot.

EG: In many countries I've heard this one. "The law is an Ass". Meaning (at least in part), the law is a means of transporting something from one place to another, often not very effective, often not following the original route or purpose, sometimes counter productive and often not very clever, AKA, a donkey or a mule.

Believe me, I hear you and this WAS my first reaction when I saw the thread title (I've seen the whole here I am, ask me, I know all many times) but happened to be down in the chat room at the time when the OP was there also. I asked my wife the same question and got the same answer. With that being said, BF has had more than enough opportunity to say that's what she meant. Now I'm no mind reader, but I have been around. This was more than a word about ass. BF addressed the OP about saying she should just use her model looks,write more mass letters and so on and so forth. I think I/O nailed it. With that being said maybe we can just all get along and put this behind us.

You completely misread my post.  I said the low response rate could indicate that her model looks may intimidate her chosen addressees.  The solution would be to either create a more intriguing profile and sit back, or increase the volume of mailings.  Makes sense?
