This was the Grand Europe Hotel street cafe with no menu posted at the entrance but an awesome ambiance, amazing street view and a lovely couch under the tent.  We walked in and sat down and then the menu came... pineapple in a blender... 400 pesos for a warm glass with a plastic stir stick.

Went out with the same girl tonight.. she apologized for the 800 peso juice before we went to a different cafe and explained that the center of Nevsky is a rippoff for tourists... instead we went to a side street and had the same nice ambiance sans couch, two plates of ice cream, fresh warm blender pineapple juice and a virgin mojito for 10 bucks.  BTW.. I didn't bring up the price of the juice.. she just noticed it and felt bad because it was a waste of money.  I explained I didnt mind because it was a cool place to sit with her.  So, even if it was the most expensive glass of juice on the planet I managed to get double bonus with the girl.. so.. it was in fact.. a very cost effective glass of juice.

Bradley.. when you get enough "juice in your sack" to ride into town without lame ass lonely planet and figure out how to entertain a lady who refuses to choose a cafe because its the man's job to decide where to go, and said lady is one that you met in real life with no previous internet contact because she doesn't use the internet, and you manage to date her successfully then you can try and mention a contradiction.  Until that time you might be better off not making yourself look any more foolish than you already have.  

And in closing.. the mosquitos in St Petersburg should have a website dedicated to them.. they are the meanest bloodsucking vampires I have ever encountered!

So I had a third date with "Art Store Girl" last night.  I picked the WRONG cafe for us to sit in.  We ordered the most expensive juice in the world, 800 ruble for two glasses of warm juice.

Its one of those things.. we were already seated in a lovely couch with a great view of Nevsky.. menu comes.. juice 400 a glass.. what do you do?  sorry dear its too expensive and get up and go?

So, I just considered it as couch rental and we sat there and had a lovely conversation for a couple of hours and nursed our juice.

Eric, one day I also got my lesson at one restaurant, so after that I prefer to know about prices in advance and at least ask for a menu before even I take a sit. And when Robert and I were in Moscow and Saint Petersburg it was always me who asked for a menu first.

Radisson SAS, though, has a bit more reasonable prices in their bar \ cafe on the right side from the main entrance.

I think it has more to do with ease of visa and better looking women in Ukraine as compared to Russia for more sex tourists in Ukraine.  Beauty and ease of travel is where the Arabs and Turks go.  Most American sex torusits go south not East.  Have no idea where Europe sex tourists go.  

It seems that Arabs (Egyptian), Turks,  and even some Iranians (Persian) who go to the Ukraine as sex tourists are larger in a considerable way the number of Americans who go there with the same intentions, the distance here is a major factor, those "Muslims" have Ukraine right next door, unlike Americans (and ourselves) who have to cross the Atlantic and most of Europe to arrive there, also the fact that they (Turks, Egyptians) do not need a visa to enter Ukraine add that Ukrainian women are very beautiful boost that situation. I was amazed to watch in those Russian Social Website some Ukrainian and Russian girls who go to Turkey or Egypt to have Holidays there are heavily chased by amazing large number of Arab - Middle Eastern guys. Western European who have some insignia on being sex spats I believe they prefer to go to German FKK Clubs.

I used to be familiar with Romania when I was in my late teenage hood (17-19 yo) and I remember that some Romanian women hated Turkish men a lot, at the time when I asked what was the reason they answered Turkish men liked some sexual practices that they personally disliked.

It should also be noted that Egypt and Turkey are popular destinations for Ukrainians to travel to on holidays.  Turkey especially has a number of resorts that are favoured by Ukrainians and available in cheap package tours.  Therefore it is not unexpected that Turkish or Egyptian men would travel to Ukraine as a sex tourist since they are already familiar with Ukrainian women travelling to their countries on vacation.
