Whatever happened to e-tickets? If you wanna meet a lady so badly that you dont mind paying for her tickets, just buy her an e-ticket, so worst case she wont show up, but he/she wont get their hands on your money either.

LOL Aloe.. some forum members are stuck in 1999.  However that only works for internal flights... post 911 rules require the person who pays for the ticket to travel with the passenger.

Sculpto what post 911 rules are you talking about?  I buy tickets all the time for other people and never travel with them.  This is from USA to many countries and from Ukraine to various countries.

I have been unable to do so Kiev.  There may be some exceptions for commercial business travel that I am not aware of.  But... last year when I tried to book the flight for my x from Russia to Mexico and later Russia to Thailand on the trip we actually made I was not able to do so and was told by two different airlines that 911 rules required that the person travelling either buy the ticket themselves or be travelling in the company of the person who owns the credit card used.

Not true.  I have done this several times, most recently this summer.  A RW may fret about not having a standard ticket to clear security to enter a terminal; however, it is not a problem if her name on the e-ticket matches her passport name.

That depends on the airline. Aeroflot allows anyone pay for anyone without any checks. Air France u need to show credit card used for payment at check-in. Depends on the airline.

You did it for international flights?

Sorry Eric but I have bought International travel air e-tickets via Expedia for Iryna 4 times in the last 2 years and not traveled with her. This is not correct.

I wouldnt believe anything any people on the phone have to say. Website is the source of correct info, in my experience. I called air france 3 times, every time i got a different person. I asked these 3 people exact same question and all 3 gave me 3 different answers. Its quite bizarre  :rolleyes2:  Better look it up on the airline website if you have questions. at least for Air france and delta for sure  :D

Just as a footnote, Delta agreed to change my tickets, so I'm off to Cancun for four days (even ended up with a voucher I can use to visit my sister at Christmas). Found a nice resort that was having a room sale. I'll sit on the sand, drink beer, and forget about this Ruskie skank. She didn't get the best of me.
(Couldn't get the Grand Canyon trip to work with the time I had) 8)

When handed lemons, you can cry and moan about it...or make some lemonade and relax....

I also took in practice to print the information I'm interested in from Delta's website and have it with me so when they say something different I can point it out.

If you SCUBA, you can't beat taking the ferry over to Cozumel for reef diving.

We had a great time in Cozumel. We rented a dune buggy. As I'm not a good swimmer scuba of course is not for me. We went snorkeling to Eco Park, beautiful coral reefs. "Senor Iguana's" is a good place to have a dinner, I would recommend to try their Angus beef enchiladas.

LOL - one of the more obvious signs that the guy is stuck in believing a fantasy.
