So my wife left a few days ago to visit her family in the Ukraine, so Its me and the dog here missing her. She calls me today and tells me "Your Wife is pregnant"  :o and this is wonderful news  :clapping:  :couple: and now I get to study for the bar exam in February with a pregnant wife  :o and suddenly it dawned on me. A) I have no idea how to be a father and b) how do I balance work, school, a child, my wife, and my creative work all at the same time?  :noidea:

Ah HA!!! the old Baby Scam!! The most notorious way women have to drain a man's resources! (all that unnecessary spending! like diapers, formula, college funds.. yeeeesh!  don't fall for it!  No sir! Just hang 'em out the window and shake 'em real good then hose 'em off, feed 'em Little Friskies, and buy 'em a lottery ticket for them to scratch off at age 18!)

Okay, now that we all know why I'm still single, I'll just wish you the bests of luck!

Congratulations on the new addition of Remiel7 or Remielette1, and may you have many more years of happiness (and sanity)..

I promise one thing. Remiel7 will not be the child's name.  :D. or any other variation or remi that I can think off. Diapers I suppose cannot be avoided as well as dentists, doctors, shirts, pants, underwear. clothes they grow out of a week after you buy them. All the things I can't imagine. I could always take my parents approach to college and save some money. My parents were like "great you want to go to college. Now you want to go, you can find a way to pay for it." I'm not sure I will follow that advice, but as I got older I appreciated it more. Yes they gave me money to help out with things, but they made me ask for it instead or writing me a blank check for it.

Me I am not sure myself, but I'll put you down for 1 vote for a girl :)

Girls give you more love)))

Congrats Remiel....and remember: you're not going where no man has gone before. You'll figure it out as you go. Best to you!

Your folks not only saved themselves some money but helped you in building some character. You don't understand it now but you will in years to come. I was in much the same boat when I went to college but it was back in the late 70s where there were few options. Thanks to a partial scholarship, bartending job and a good pool stick I got through it. Since then  I have paid for two college educations. One was a waste of time and money. If I had known he would have paid for it himself but, I had those optimistic rose colored glasses on. I didn't do him any favors by paying for it, just made myself feel better for a while FWIW
