No, Ed, it is not about the site but about having your own head on your own shoulders. The dating sites of Mamba system including real-ukraine-girls are not marriage agencies or marriage websites, those websites are just dating websites for different dating purposes. A guy would be silly thinking that a woman wants to be a mommy of his children when she clearly states in her profile that she is looking for a sponsor or a group sex. Regarding EM there is also no grantee that all the women on EM as on any other marriage agencies' websites  are marriage minded women, and a guy can easily find himself in position of mule or long term sponsor after some time...

I do recommend the network. Unless you're dealing with a spam profile, what you see is what you get, unlike sites that specifically marketed to bride seekers.

I think the main reason many men here have had success with Elena's has very little to do with the site itself. It's because the men that come here and actually pay attention to sensible recommendations are going to use the site sensibly. In other words it's not that they used Elena's but they used Elena's to seek a woman within reasonable limits.

You can just as easily waste your time with Elena's to write all the 18 year olds listed at the Kiev affiliate, but they guys prone to that are going to ignore recommendations here anyways and stick with sites like HRB and Anastasia.

I have used it Ed. It was by far the easiest way to meet legitimate women I've used.

One thing to consider from my experiences is that I've met a lot of Russian women that have no problem coming to the US as tourists or students. Once such girl is visiting me right now (a friend of a friend). These women will rarely list themselves on a bridal site, but they're not hard to find on regular dating sites.

Why does it not have "merit"? It is a site with millions of people. Yes, you have to filter. Yes, you have to know which women to avoid. Yes, you have to put some thought and effort into it, but if you know what you are looking for, you will be able to find it. Where is it exactly lacking merit?

I don't think that's relevant to my opinion about mamba.ru. It's just a normal dating site with a few million members, so you'll find all kinds of people using it. It doesn't cater to any specific group, but if you want to find normal, serious, marriage minded women who would consider moving overseas for a man (and not just consider a man for moving overseas), it's easy on mamba.

There are probably better Russian sites that locals recommended to me, but I didn't use them and I can't find the list I had. I'm sure Eduard knows.

It's not about 'free personals' it's about normal Russian dating sites, whether they are free or not. Mamba can be free or you can pay for VIP services. A lot of guys here think of sites like 'freepersonals.ru' in conjunction with mamba or 'free' Russian sites, when there is no connection at all.

I've also met women through sites like bride.ru, lucky lovers, Elena's Models. Being married or not has nothing to do with the validity of a site recommendation. The fact is that the majority of guys looking will never marry a Russian woman regardless of the method.
