It is indeed refreshing and makes you feel so mobile.  I once got my life reduced to two suitcases, and Pan Am lost one of them in Cairo.  Did not miss a thing (I did give a box of photos, certificates, mementos, etc.  to my parents and opened it about 5 years later).
