If we consider the better way to date FSU women, the best way is to enter in their territories. 
Olga an I have talked about the territories outside the mainland,
but if we talk about the mainlands, what happens?
   
The truth is that the war has disrupted the aerial traffic.
There is not traffic at all in Ukraine
And the traffic in Russia and Belarus is cut from direct flights, but not impossible using hubs.
The main hubs are located in Istambul, Belgrade, Bakou, Tbilissi that allows you to enter in or enter out. 
   
So the strategy to rejoin the mainlands is suffering, due to the war, to stretched delays and increased costs to enter in and out. 
   
In Ukraine basically the main hub is Poland where your plane is gonna to land in Varsaw or Cracovie and then you take the  train to the border. Then after you enter in the Ukrainian railways infrastructure. You are good for at least 24 hours of trains and connections not counting the flights     
Good to know, using a car from Europe let you without insurance as you cross the Ukrainian border. Even moving to Moldavia (I tried to rent a car there) let you without insurance (maybe it has changed, because it was ridiculous).   
In Russia it looks like a little easier but as it's a very vast territory all depends on where you go.
More than never, in case you are chasing a girl to marry her in USA or Europe you damned better to choose first a big city,  and after to chase the local girls in this city, due to the war context. 
   
Of course more difficult to go, but more rewards as men become scarcity, especially in Ukraine 
   
If you play the nomad mode let them know that you come to spend some time. Some will be curious and very pleased and some will be totally pissed off. The last ones let you know that were mainly interested by emigrating. Good to know.

it's easy to get to western ukraine from either Warsaw or Berlin...and takes about 8 hours from Warsaw, of which, less than two are actually in Ukraine
much more terrifying to ride the NYC subway in peacetime than a Ukrainian train in war time

if you have the strength of mind to face danger, fear, or difficulty without being overcome.

if you don't
then you have no business doing this in the first place

you will see no physical signs of the war taking this path and a low probability of a drone/rocket strikes
rent someplace away from downtown targets somewhere in the outskirts, but make sure there are no potential targets nearby

Ukraine in war time, would be an amazing experience for anyone

and read about how to get ukrainian air raid warnings on yur phone
and fuhgettabout it and get on with yur mission

no one is gonna do that...
not because of the war, but because of the economy
it will RUIN EVERYONE'S plans, even this one
by summer/fall everyone is gonna "hunker down" to "ride out the storm"

MUCH FEWER western dewds gonna be lookin to get married/start a family, especially pre-boomers who are feelin even more financial pressure than boomers who have ALL the money
and boomers like me are too old to chase wimmin now, i'm more interested in naps, i.e. actual sleep than sex

You are likely to use two main hub train stations which are
Przemyśl Główny or Chelm
Use http://booking.polrail.com/ to book your tickets 
and be aware to do it enough in advance due to the high number of requests 
and also because you could have the ticket to be sent   
I remember that after the first time I bought one, I got an account, and thereafter didn't need it anymore and receivedan numerical one. I don't know if it can still bother you today.

If I do agree with Krim about the fact that boomers were or are likely to be the first to find abroad some women,
and the wealth is concentrated in average for those who are 50
I am not sure that it has gone in complete disarray or disinterest.

IMHO if you use the nomad way
establishing a base close or the closet to the 3 countries where traditionally FSU women are living
should go through some renting before any real estate purchases. In case you are considering buying some in the future.   
This transitory measure should at least last one year.   
Generally expats are suffering  the second semester of their arrival and could get depressed, the nostalgia of the previous country and the minuses of the new country could accumulated after few months. 
That's not something to ignore.   
   
Things will be more complicated if you want to buy some real estate and land there. Preferentially when the wars will be gone of course.
At this moment aerial traffic will be back.   
 
For the ones who have not a lot of money they would not maintain two homes and the logical solution is to sell or stop renting home in the West.   
So buying a home is huge decision 
     
I need to tell you how I consider the future of Ukraine: badly. Even if the war ceases, it will be permanently under war, conventional or hybrid war. 
   
The second problem is the language. You must, as a nomad, learn the language. With Russian and English you were at ease.But now Ukraine has adopted "Ukrainian for everyone everywhere".I have observed the consequences of such nationalism 40 years ago in some other countries.It just creates problems and isolates the country. 
No one is gonna to learn Ukrainian, No one has a passion to learn the Montenegrin, the Estonian.
Considering additionally that the economical potential of Ukraine has considerable shrinked, for obvious reasons. And in the I don't think it will be better due to the debt...
No major political stability and a whole justice strongly opposed to any reform against corruption leads to no real growth economically. You need to know that approximatively 5000 judges in Urkaine are totally in control of the justice and constantly fighting to keep their corrupted business. They own all the system. And they are not ready to let it go.
   
So any investment in Ukraine in the future IMHO is under threat. It could be better of this threat if the political power in Russia changes. But there no guarantee that a "succession" there leads to different behavior towards Ukraine.
