I'm not sure about that, I've met quite a few shorter Ukrainian women. (~5'2")
 
You might try to use Elena's or some other site that allows you to search by height, look for women in the 5'0" - 5'3" range, they should be more inclined to date a shorter man

I researched other websites.
It seems that the shortest girls are the worst. If a girl is shorter than 5'3", she is only attracted to guys taller than 6'.
Some shorter guys confess that they've never dated girls.

My brother dissuaded his very short daughter from dating this very tall guy.  Said she should look for someone with a better match height wise.

It really was sort of painful to see them standing together.

The tall guy is now a well known neurosurgeon!!  But she married well anyway.

When I first started into the RW thing, I wrote hundreds of RW and 25% who responded back to me were taller than I. They didn't seem to be bothered by my height. I'm 5'9" and my fiancee is the same height. When she wears 4 inch heels, she's 6"1".
If you woman taller than you decides to go out with you, don't be bothered by your height because she probably isn't.

Being South American I never felt short in my country until I moved to Scandinavia where I felt like a dwarf

If this is indicative of your psyche in an effort to determine where you 'fit' in pursuing your social place, interest and belonging, I highly suggest you make haste and take a dose of that introspective pill and account your worth and value to yourself. Life is much easier that way, trust me....

Maybe I did not express it well but I was trying to portrait this topic (Short Guys) in a positive light,  in the sense that if you perceive there is an obstacle in your goal (could be language, culture, appearance, age, etc as well) then it is up to you (and you will most likely) to overcome those perceived hurdles. When I live in Denmark my first gf was (much) taller than me - not because my preference but just because population there is tall - a bit strange at the begining but then you adapt the best you can to the new situation

When I did the screening on the huge FSU dating sites, I looked for women 5 foot 6 inches and above.  But, I peeked at the list of those shorter and was dismayed that I had to pass up hundreds in the shorter categories.

"Drastically" is probably subject to interpretation but "significantly" should be pretty well accepted.

It's still a good sized pool to drop your bait in if its properly setup.

Not to worry. Just think : Would you be happier if you were taller, found your girl, invested in her your emotional, financial and human effort, and then be used, abused and, eventually, dumped by her? By the way, that's what happens to some posters (albeit tall).  Some are unfortunate to have been dumped several times . Some could use their time summing up and writing wills instead of looking for chicks, yet they position themselves as experienced, keep looking, and, at that, hasten to counsel to the  newbies.
 
Don't be upset. Your goal is to to find a wife, your goal is not to be popular with ladies. You are looking for a soulmate, who will love you, respect you and value your virtues.
 
There's certainly one little Russian girl out there who's lonely and waiting for you. Don't give up ! Seek and you will find!
