LOL Edward
Sorry , I had to go eat and satisfy my sudden Pizza craving.

come on Jason, I can't take this! What happened? Did she meet some poor guy through the agency and came here on a K-1? Please don't keep us waiting, this is too much!

OK
So remember We were in the Long awkward silence
My heart beating out of my chest

And yes Eduard , those  things and a thousand others were all running through my mind at that moment.
Damn, I know I had come to this same restaurant with Yana many times before, so what the hell was she doing working here?
He hair was a Little different now, and When she asked if we would like to start off with a cocktail I said, OHHH yea
I need a G-n-T please
She turned to Pavel and he lowered his head and stared at the table and he said,  "Pepsi for me" while
never making eye contact with her, she smiled a weird way that I had never seen before and said Cool! Be right Back!
She turned and as she walked away, I had to stare at her backside by leaning over and around the table.  The couple sitting a few feet away began to laugh out loud, as I realized just how much I probably looked like a total horndog/pervert by doing that.

but something was not right. She looked different somehow, but I can't quite tell why yet.
When I leaned back into the booth from my long hard look at her,  Pavel had this smile and look on his face like he was about to die laughing, his eyebrows were up with suprise and he said   DUDE!
I was as surprised as he was and I said,  DUDE!
Pavel started to giggle and I said  What the hell is going on here?
It was like I was in a episode of the Twilight Zone.
Pavel said, How is Yana here and She Don't say Hi

He had a good point, She Obviously knew both of us, and Did not seem phased at all by our presence.

He said, I knew she was in USA but not in Seattle.
I said , I had not talked to her at all and last I knew , she was still in Russia .
He said, Nooo ,  Yana was married 7 months ago.
I said, What ?  Like September This last year?
He said, Da, before September she married American man and moved to USA!
Get the Fuc! out of here!  I said.
Yes said, It true, In August
She married American man in August?
Now wait a damn minute.
When Yana was taking money from me (again) and having those photos done to work in a marriage agency, It was September. I remember this cause my B-day was about then.
You sure about this Pavel?
Da, sure.
Now I don't know Pavel very well, but his English is VERY VERY good.
I said, Wait..what?

He said, no one tell you this?
No one mentioned this to me.
And I had talked with Val many times since then and He never said a word about this.   Damn , what the hell is going on here.  And why is it taking so long to get my drink!@

Understand, one thing, I do not Drink.
A beer a month maybe, but never hard alcohol. I gave that up when I turned 30.
But right now I neeeded a Drink!

I had to stop and re-set my thoughts clear my mind take a deep breath and ask Pavel to tell me again what he knew about Yana.

Apparently She got married in August, to some guy. i have no idea who, nor does anyone else.
She Hid  this marriage and told no one until after she had her Visa and was in the USA.
So this means when she was asking me to help her work in a marriage agency, she was already married.
I simply did not beleive him.
But. I trust people and give the benefit of the doubt, until they prove otherwise, so I could not think he was lying.
OK , so if all that is true,  She  100x more sadistic and Evil than I had throught.
And, she is bringing my Drink.
OOPS.
Red light!  Red Light!
Son of a bitch, what do I do now?

She comes back with the drinks, and says  ok Guys, What are we having today?
Wait,  Yana can't speak english like this. I begin to look at her very closely...
It's her , i am sure of it.
She gets a little nervous at my stare, and says    What?
I said,  are you serious?
She began to look very very uncomfortable and said,  Sssssserious about what?
Pavel jumped in and said Yana ! Comon!   It's me Pavel, and Jason, you had been dropped on your head and forget everything?

This Girl Smiled and and started playing with her hair a little, and started to say something ...under her breath
Just then I noticed, one little mole on her cheek was absent, so was her accent,  OH DAMN

Pavel spoke to me in Russian,
She looked at him with a WTF? kind of expression  That Yana could never have done.
I said, OMG    I am SOO sorry. You you look EXACTALLY Like my EX GF.
She Smiled ear to ear  and said,  Whew! ok cool,  I thought you guys were psychos or something!
OMG LOL
Paval had to look a little closer as he still was not sure,
I said, Eh Pavel it's not Yana.
When he finally realized it wasn't her,  He put his face in his hand, head down and said  OY OY oy oy oy oy
She touched his shoulder and said, hey.. don't worry, it's cool, This happens to me all the time..
Pavel perked up . looked at her and said... Really?
She said....  NO!

We all had a good laugh over this and found out her name was Shelly, and she is a Seattle girl from Ballard.  She was really a good sport about this mistaken Identity debockle.
We had a nice lunch, and Shelly kept calling us, by different names each time she would walk by.  She introduced us to another waitress as --Mason and Gravel.
this girl was hilarious.
As we got ready to leave, she said, ohh comon you guys please stay, you guys are too much fun, and making my work bearable.
I rolled my eyes at her as I had heard this tired old line before..
She said,  ahhh ok  you got me :)

As we walked out she said    Jason!  i turned around to see her hold her fingers up to her ear like a phone and mouthed the words  "call me"  and pointed  to my hand.  Not taking her seriously, I said Bye  Shelly.
As we were walking back to the car,  Pavel said   Oy oy oy oy  oy    I said  LOL Dude  what now?   He took my hand wich was still holding the check and raised it up to my face.
I'll be damned. There in red pen was

You Better
CALL ME!!!!!
555-1212
Shelly
xoxo

So as we drove back to my truck, we joked and Pavel told me about his wife and family and more small talk. He dropped me off and said Eh Jason.  That girl, she is the one you want to marry, not her evil twin.  I laughed and said,  yeah, that was too freaking strange.
But one nice thing about all this.
I totally forgot about the rest of the Yana story..
And the other nice thing is , I don't even care   anymore    :)

So the "evil twin" was actually already married and awaiting her visa while still begging you for money and help with a profile?

I lived in Everett for about seven years.  Love that Puget Sound area however, in seven years I saw it "pour rain" only once.  You can't call that drizzly mess "rain".. lol..  and add in "sun breaks", "breezy days" of 60mph wind gusts - and you have a recipe for insanity!  8)  ...  I had to bail though.. just too many people raked together in a single area..  Civilization is wonderful except for all the damn people! heh

So, what's on the agenda for Ballard Shelley?

I believe Jason saw a young russian beauty somewhere that inspired him to continue the story. The end of the story is Nabokov's "Lolita".

So, what's on the agenda for Ballard Shelley?

Yes she was in fact married already during this time. Pretty messed up. I still can't believe it myself, and the "detective" in me wants to confirm this, but I have no  desire to find any more information on Her. She wasted enough of my time.  I just wonder if the guy who married her has any clue about all that. I am guessing probably not.

ahhh an ex snohomie. Cool.
Well. if you want to split hairs, then yea , It DUMPS  very rarely, But I have been on I-5 when it did, and that is not a good place to be.

But yesterday it rained pretty steady all day.

You are right about the people.  They started a $5.00 toll on  520 about 5 months  ago.  they said it would relieve congestion.  PFFF  all it did was increase the commute time on I90 by 20 minutes, and I-5 an extra 15 minutes.

I guess doing it everyday you get used to it but, when it takes an hour and a half to drive to Tacoma, or worse 2 hours to Everett, yep we got problems. ( thats about 30 miles for those playing along at home)

My helper was complaining to no end about Spending 2-21/2 hours on the road every day when we work out of the City. (he rides with me) So I got a Clear Spot = and now have Wifi in the truck so he can fart around on his IPad while we drive(sit in traffic). He is happy for now  ;)

As for the Good Twin, I don't know yet.

I imagine it would be fun, but mistaking a girl for your Ex is not the best way to make a good first impression. She was a good sport about it, but I have no doubt that it would come up at some point in the future.
Maybe I will take what I have learned and Give it a go.

Did you work for that air plane company that sounds like,  BOING  ?

BillyB's A?
I hope that is code for something, and not what I think it means.
Oh, i see,  A
LOL
I will read more about A

I believe Jason saw a young russian beauty somewhere that inspired him to continue the story. The end of the story is Nabokov's "Lolita".

I am sure what I saw, and she is my Ex's Doppleganger, Or more likely, My EX is HER  Doppleganger.

I've never read Lolita.  I'll check it out.

I read this book, 2 revisions.
I was troubled by the foweward and introduction, and thought I do not want to read this crap.
But, being accused of plagirism is not cool, so i read on.

My opinion:
This thread bears little if any similarity to Nabokov's "lolita"
I will admit that the writing style is similar, But your comparison
made it seem like A copy of the story, and that Is not even remotely the case.
Tell me,
why would you be reading the diary of a paedophile in the first place? The author was clearly disturbed. And as such, he decorated the pages with seemingly innocent and cute little phrases to make it  seem like a love story, when in reality, it was him justifying and minimizing his bad and deviant behaviour.
Like when his wife  get's hit by the car and killed,  what does he do?
Grabs the 12 year old, takes her to  a hotel, sedates her,  goes out into the hotel, all the while singing in his head. Meets a stranger,  them thimks, ahh , what the hell, I 'll go back and rape the girl.
this is some sick shit Belvis.

Well, I'm in  confusion :). As Wikipedia claims it: "After its publication, Lolita attained a classic status, becoming one of the best-known and most controversial examples of 20th century literature."   I tell you the main plot in Lolita and you'll decide why I was comparing:
Man in his 40-th has fallen in love with a very young girl. Then they have  exciting time. The man bribes the girl  for sexual favors, they share no mutual interests. Finally the girl runs away with another man. In a few years the man find the girl who worked odd jobs for living.

Stanley Kubrick made a film of Nabokov's novel in 1962, starring James Mason, Shelley Winters and Sue Lyon. Also a 1997 remake by Adrian Lyne with Jeremy Irons, Melanie Griffith and Dominique Swain.

I actually did a video interview with Dmitrij Nabokov, the author's son who happens to live on the East coast of Florida. A very interesting man in his 80s. He was born outside of Russia (in Germany if I remember correctly) but speaks perfect  Russian with no accent, old school "intelligecia style". He was a successful opera singer and even appeared with people like Pavorotti. I was hired to do this by "Zvezda" TV channel in Moscow. It was a cool job.

Not really seeing the connection with newjason here, sorry.

The deal is that Humbert not only bribes the girl but realizes he must train her to be duplicitous and to cover things up.  Further, Humbert marries Lolita's mother in order to be close to the daughter, she finds out, but dies in a freak accident which protects Humbert from being exposed.

Given Jason and Yana met at a mutual friend's place, and everyone knew them, and they were not traveling around from motel to motel in order to stay incognito, there really isn't enough similarity there for the comparison to make a lot of sense...

I can understand why you  could see similar events in the stories, fair enough.

I disagree with your assessment of the plot however....
A man in his 40's acted out on his sexual fantasies with a 12 year old child. He had an exciting time, she was drugged or fighting off his advances more times than not. The man keeps her at arms length because if she were to tell anyone his life would be finished.

This is called grooming and It's exclusive to paedophiles.  This story pisses me off because the actions of a paedophile  destroy children's lives forever, By being in the position of authority, then sexually molesting a child,  the paedophile is taking that child's ability to trust anyone , or think normally in any way shape or form, forever.

I know a man, who did this to all his children, both his step daughters, and when they got old enough to realize that is not how a normal person acts, they told the mom, and she told the police, but you know what?  They are so screwed up from him, that he convinced them to withdraw the allegations, and he is right back at home, only now, He is grooming his 18 year old son and has been for ,  10 years, maybe more. He goes everywhere with the kid.  EVERYWHERE.  The kid wants to spend the night at his cousins house, guess what, there's dad right beside him.  Then when it get's late,  and time to sleep over,  These two crawl into bed together. !!
Now, the dad just bought sin a new car. spent 13,000 on nice Honda.  This kid is 18.  The dad is in the car with him, every moment, every day. Will not let him do ANYTHING alone.

You know how I know this?  that dad is my best friends wife's father.  I have know my friend for years. I knew his wife was screwed up by the way she treats him.  I never thought much if it.  Well, He spilled the beans a few weeks ago, and It just makes me want to slit that son of a bitch's throat. But evryone just looks the other way....

So pardon me If I don't find "Lolita" a classic.  It's disturbed and is desensitizing people to deviant behaviour.  I found myself forgetting the fact that he is a sick fuck every few pages.  It paints a pretty little romance over some very sick tragic incessant porn. IMO  There was no romance there.  There was no love there. It was all the feelings a daughter is supposed to have for her father twisted into some sick evil little fantasy kept alive by the father. That is not love, that is pure evil.

There , that's my rant for the day.  LOL.

Here's a little trivia.

How many of you knew Vladimir Vladimirovich was a lepidopterist? He spent many years following one specific butterfly, the Karner Blue butterflly which he named. This butterfly is on the endangered species list and one of places to see them are in a sanctuary, where the butterflies were first identified and named, and was built for them which is about a 10 minute drive from here. Please wiki Karner Blue if you are interested.

No one in this area knew who he was until Kubrick's film Lolita debuted and he was asked about it. His reply was that it (the movie) may turn out to be the swerves of a scenic drive as perceived by the horizontal passenger of an ambulance.
To argue with a man who has renounced the use and authority of reason, and whose philosophy consists in holding humanity in contempt, is like administering medicine to the dead. Thomas Paine - The American Crisis 1776-1783

I knew that, Muzh (not about the Karner Blue, I will google, but about his butterfly interest).

My husband had a relative who was a Russian diplomat and an avid lepidopterist, with one of the largest collections in the world.  He knew Nabokov.
After the fall of communism, the biggest mistake Boris Yeltsin's regime made was not to disband the KGB altogether. Instead it changed its name to the FSB and, to many observers, morphed into a gangster organisation, eventually headed by master criminal Vladimir Putin. - Gerard Batten

WOW!
When my wife and I read this latest news and saw that you are in the Seattle area the first thought we had was that your Yana turned out to be BillyBs A.

We were relieved to read on.
Good luck!

Well, I have read about 10 pages of BillyB's and No, They are not the same Person. Not even close.
First, I do not date children. My ex was 23 when we first met, I was 36.
Second, I think BillyB is in over his head, WAY over.
I can't imagine what his children must be experiencing  with this A Girl in the home now.

There is going to be a shift in the fabric of space when A finds this Board. And she will find it, it's just a matter of time.

I had to laugh at one thing he said..

...I am up early, waiting for A to wake up and make me breakfast...

that's EPIC.

..Sigh...

I have A few things to add...

So I did call the lovely waitress back, and we went on a few fun dates, we seemed to have pretty good chemistry, and I can say for sure, she is a great woman.
BUT
Every time I was alone with her, there seemed to be a giant Elephant in the room.
What I mean by that is , my brain is un-able or un-willing to make the separation of this lady and my Ex.
The fact that they look so much alike and the circumstances of my past blackened everything about her in my eyes and my mind.
As I saw things through a distorted and confused path of perception, I soon understood that It was not going to be anything more than a re-hash of my feelings and emotions al over again, due to my hang ups. This was not fair to her as she is a great person, a very lovely woman and has a lot going for her in her life.
I had to be realistic with myself and with her, and I told her that she can do much better, because she can and she will.
It was always a little (and most of the time A LOT ) awkward and it just was so not right, i felt the heebeejeebees and that was the RED FLAG for her  LOL.
She knew it was not right too, but still was curious, as I was to see what could happen.
So we parted ways and still say hi in sms on occasion.
As one of the prettiest girls I had ever met,  It was not long before I started asking myself, what kind of  moron am I ?  Thinking that I may have been hasty in my decision to sever relations with her so quickly, My inner conflict rears it's ugly head once again. ( and I am not talking about the one in my jeans ) so I have had to immerse myself into familiar pleasures (Music, extreme sports, and art) to put some distance between that time and the present.
So I have begun to learn 3-D Animation, compositing, and graphical and visiual arts.
While I have always been a whiz at photoshop, I have always wanted to produce more than just images, I think creating worlds and everything fantastic my mind can imagine is great fun and so I splurged and purchased the Tools I need to do just that.
Also am planning a trip to Norway this summer to go and Jump.
I can't wait :)

Anyway,
Last week I met a man at work and noticed right away his accent, and said to him,  Dobre Utra :)
He said the same and asked how is it that I know Russian? So I told him, and we started to chat (in Russian and English) His english was not great and My Russian  was about the same or worse, but between speaking and knowing a little of both, I learned He is from Ukraine and moved to the west about 3 years ago at the advice of his brother, who had moved here and said good things about this area.
We talked about a lot of things, but the once thing that stuck with me was when he asked me ...
He looked at me very serious and said ....
So, Jason, Tell me,   How many Guys understand me?
I took this to mean, how many people try to understand his broken English when he is speaking.
I said to him, Victor, I think not many guys want to take time and learn another language.
So,  not many...
He smiled and said, then why do you do it?
I thought for a moment about saying things like, to learn, to be more educated, to be more well rounded... bla bla bla, but I Just said, well Why do we men do anything?  Because of the girls , of course.  :)  We talked a bit more about ukraine girls and why guys think that they are so good because they can be beautiful. We had some laughs and it was a nice talk.
I could tell that he was having a hard time in America, and while he was adapting , he was not assimilating as much or as quickly as he had hoped. It was clear to me that he was in his "culture shock" phase and It was hitting him like a two ton ..uh... heavy thing.
I felt bad for him as I could see it in his eyes that was missing home very much and nothing and no one he found familiar and reminiscent of his homeland.
As I was leaving I shook his hand nice and strong and I said, Victor, This is my phone number, and the address to my house, You and your wife will come on Saturday and I will make dinner and we will talk about Ukraine. He looked a little shcoked at first as he pondered my invitation, but it took only a few seconds before his face lit up, and he smiled and said something like, (we accept) I think :)
I made sure I had his number and made him call me as I left so I had his number.
I called him later that evening and reminded him of his obligation to come to my house for to see a silly american who thinks he can cook like he is in Ukraine..OK?
He said they will come and eat this food and give their critique.
Ok, not a big deal, no pressure,  I can do this...
oh man, what have I done..
 :o
