BC, you, groovlstk, I and other members as well we all have our subjective opinion.

Indeed.  I think each has expressed their thought on the subject, but seems your nails are now sharpened.

What I won't do is get drawn into a 'pissing match by proxy' over it.

He's a big boy now.

BC, the forum indeed does a good job in sharpening nails and teeth  ;)

Glee at someone else's misfortune is never a good thing, however, frank disclosure of the premature failure of cross cultural marriages may be a well needed slap of reality to those that have glamorous fantasies about MOB marriages.

Ade, I don't think anyone here glee at someone else's misfortune discussing failed marriages, especially Maxx, who went through the terrible experience in his life.  "Disclosure of the premature failure of marriage" is equal  "to go like a lamb to the slaughter" on the forum just look through the particular threads where members share their unfortunate experience    ;D

Yes, there are some that do relish such.  I try my best not to be baited.

An interesting turn this thread has taken.  I tend to agree with OlgaH.  Not by passing (or not) a judgement on Maxx but this really isn't what this thread was about.  However, since we are on the topic...

For the record, I have noticed a major difference in the (perceived by me) attitude in Maxx's post over the last year or two.  There was a time where I was of the opinion that he was one of the most gloom and doom inspired posters around.  I seemed that he just couldn't get past a (very) bad period in his life and harbored some serious negativity.  Since that time, it has been easy to see that he's on a different, more upbeat, more positive wavelength.

I don't really see any productive purpose in this. Sometimes it is more beneficial to allow the phoenix to fly than to remind it of the ashes of its origin and metamorphosis.

At any rate.  Let's move the discussion back to the topic of psychologically damaged RW...  >:D

Without having read all of the previous posts, just those on this page--there is something really off-putting to me about this Subject.

Readers have different perception, personally I never felt gloom and doom from Maxx posts and more over during our phone conversations. I also have read the posts by him and by some others members who post now here on the old Russian women forum.

I don't really see any productive purpose in this. Sometimes it is more beneficial to allow the phoenix to fly than to remind it of the ashes of its origin and metamorphosis.

Honestly, I disagree. There is a big difference between listening some lyrical digression about hypothetical battles and consequences told by people who even don't know  a smell of gunpowder and veterans who went through the battles  ;D

OK here is one from Maxx's old posts about red flags regarding psychologically damaged RW  "Her mother looks like she feels sorry for you."  ;D

I  didn't make myself clear... I meant that there's nothing I see as productive in *this* discussion of Maxx himself.  ;D

I think I understand! It is not the subject but it is style (or lack of) to the subject.

Groovlstk, maybe it would be better if you addressed your very first post to all members in this thread who were trashing Scott's wife  ;)

As you mentioned GregfromGa here are some of his posts

You mean sweet greg who invited me to meet him in NYC and relay his "dissatisfaction" because I was a know-it-all pompous ass simply because I brought him to task regarding his sweet demeanor towards women?

That greg?

going back to the original topic...

I think we first need to address the original topic heading..

It'd be interesting to get opinions of such questions of what exactly is meant by "psychological damage"?

It can be argued that everyone carries some sort of baggage from experience so at what point of, I guess, dysfunction does 'baggage' become 'damage'?

What are actual symptoms of such dysfunction (actual behaviors observed, and vocalized thoughts/attitudes behind them)? What situations cause/give rise/exacerbate? Mitigate?

Should be an interesting discussion...

Impressive.   RM are faster than professional psychiatrists who would need at least 3 sessions just to diagnose the condition.   Maybe RM learn quickly that they are not going to get any sex so they move on and dismiss the woman as crazy.  ;)
he he funny! but i see Eduard's point. i have been dating for a while and have met a number of women who certainly would fit a description of a nut job. they weren't hard to recognize and it didn't take more than one date. in some cases even a telephone conversation was enough. i didn't need to diagnose their condition or prescribe the appropriate medication, but i could sense that the second date would be out of the question

Hey there - to me it seems the men who go in to the FSU girl quest are far more damaged than the ladies.  The lady nut-cases are out there and easy to spot: they lead with cleavage, sex, open to 20+ age diffs, etc.  Too easy.  Any moron can see and the fact that they don't, well ...
