Olga, I have to respectfully say that methinks that you are feeding a troll. Do you really believe that if the OMON raids a night club to "check passports" and that this would be happening in the middle of a raid:

when I was about 15, living in Russia, I spent some time in the hospital and met several nurses there that I dated for the next couple of years. So it is quite possible to meet girls at a hospital IME. In Russia any place is as good as any.
However, somehow I'm not convinced that our American Boy is American...

Ade, perhaps that's part of the reason you didn't' experience what I did. I don't think moscow or st petersburgs will not give you a good understanding of Russia. Most cities aren't like those cities.

Also, I know there are good girls and bad girls wherever you go. but i became friends with lots and lots of people and I seriously saw it so much, even without me.

I'm not a hunk by any means, maybe a notch above average. I'm friendly so maybe that helps.

The hospital was a huge facility and many of these people were there for months at a time so you could easily get to know them. The 39 year old had a son that was in the hosital, she and I shared a flat.

Those girls probably saw you as some sort of a celebrity to take pictures withto put on in vkontakte  or to have sex and tell to their friends that have has sex with an American to compare with Russian guys.

I'd say most of those girls were probably young though and were partying.

I keep on giving the link to that recent Russian TV show about the life of 4 women around 30 yo working in the same office, many Russians agree that it's very realistic and reflects the reality and many people could recongnize themselves or their friends in the given characters. Some people say it's too dark, I agree that NOT ALL WOMEN ARE LIKE THAT, some single moms have very boring life, there are also "old maids" and "book worms", but many do.In this TV show you can see the cases when wives cheat of their husbands and WHY they do this. Why a young secretary who has a boy friend still meets her ex.

And at the end you can see her dialogue with her boy friend-a successful psychologyst who offered her swing sex and when she refuses he tells her that she is stupid because he has been working as a psychologyst for a long time and knows that everybody cheats on their partners anyway.
People are raised in the society when they know that they can't rely on anything or anybody:today you have money, tomorrow you don't, today you have a husband, tomorrow he is gone to another woman, many people don't have any long lasting plans and just live this very day today trying to get as many fun as they can, as they can afford, they don't have dependable, responsible, reliable partners.

That was what I kept telling to the guys who think that bringing the girls to the US is the greatest thing they do for her, many don't need any US and the opportunities, high achievers can achieve in Russia nowadays if they really want to, if they study and work hard they can get job offers in the companies abroad, too, they don't need you for that,most women you meet on the dating websites just want a healthy family and a LOVING husband they can rely on and who doesn't cheat like what you can see in the TV show!

He did not write, they raided the night club and started checking passport or that they checked passports after raiding the club, he wrote that they raided "to check for passports." I am commenting on what he wrote, not what you think he should have written

 I have read many stories that confirms your opinion about behavior of FSU women and  tend to believe you and them.   Your description about living day to day and not worrying about tomorrow also is a theme I have heard a lot.  You even explain the reasons for it.  I think it is also the reason that FSU people tend not to save money and instead spend it readily.

I am to believe that while 20 "spetsnaz" are marching through the nightclub carrying assault rifles that they young woman, drunk or not, continues sucking on your neck?!? Call me a troll if you will, but while you are at it, give us some more detailed info. What was the name of the club? What city? If you provide this info, it won't endanger you anonymity, but it might make it sound a bit more credible...

Buy the way, that TV show I told you about also has an episode with OMON raid in it-a strip club where Sasha goes to meet her ex-boy friend, he offered her to have sex with him but she refuses to, he says:"OK then" and is ready to leave, at that moment OMON enters the bar and is giving the order: "men can leave , all girls are staying", Sasha didn't have a passport on her and they put her to jail with prostitutes so she calls her married lover Petya to help her. I don't remember the number of the episode though.

The most likely reason for the raid of a Moscow nightclub is a drug raid by the local police drug squad. The drug squad would be all geared up and ready for anything. Omon might be there for backup in case of excessive violence.  Omon uniforms are distinct, even someone with limited Russian language skills should recognize the uniforms. As for spetsnaz being involved, the local police special forces maybe, the military spetsnaz not a chance.

As for this 'American boy' being hit on by every girl and woman he saw, pure fantasy. A chance occasion by a young Russian woman who might want him for a quickie just to say that she'd had sex with an American, Ok, but women by the dozens?  Back in the mid 1990's maybe, he'd be a novelty.  However, today I'd be surprised if there wasn't several American boys or English boys in every nightclub in Moscow most days of the week. Moscow is a popular destination for foreigners, especially the young. Foreigners, males and females, haven't been a  novelty in Moscow for a long time.

I have no idea why you want to believe what is clearly IMHO a fabrication, but that is your right. All of what he wrote is clearly an exaggeration, and the whole I was in a nightclub when the "spetsnaz" marches in is merely the cherry on the proverbial cake... That is all that I have to say on the topic.
