Doesn't this just all come down to:
big cities, or downtown city centers, generally just  have more attractive people ?
(i'm not sure per capita, but the attractive ones stand out and there are far more people)
This applies to men traveling over to the FSU as well, since they generally stay downtown areas or near, and date in the more downtown areas, or tourist beach areas?

In my area,, there are some really attractive women, and also a preponderance  of the people of Walmart, really large.Just how it is.

However we are just one hour away from Chicago, where in the downtown districts there are attractive/fit  people everywhere you go in the downtown or touristy districts.

Stray very far out from there into other districts and the percentage  of people in decent shape drops pretty significantly.

This phenomenon seems the same in other countries I've lived long term, or visited.

Same where I'm at, so I agree with you AJ. Heck in my town, we probably have more of our share of fat folks, but FWIW, doesn't mean I had to date them (LOL) so they don't even factor into my social valuation.

But even if I lived, in say, Palmdale, Camarillo or a distant elsewhere, it'd still be quite a bit closer than FSU...heck, NY is quite a bit closer to me for that matter...

So something else is at play here....wouldn't you agree?

Thoughts? (  :P )

don't tell me you cannot find a hot looking babe in Tampa or Clearwater.
I spent a few days in Clearwater a few years ago, but its sea water was NOT clear due to plenty of sand in suspension :(.

Where can I address my complaint for misleading labelling 8) ;D?

Ed, I think if you are in Tampa proper the scenery is better. If you live outside of Tampa/St Pete/Clearwater, then not so much. I know where I live, about an hour north of Tampa, it is very poor scenery.
I live about an hour South of Tampa in Sarasota/Bradenton area so I can relate to your experience. Sure, big cities have more people and more attractive women (although looking at the women at the Children's Museum in Tampa a couple of weeks ago was a scary experience) but still, proportionately it's nothing like Russia.

I don't know about anyone else, but I went from a high of 263lbs in 2011 down to 206lbs as of last night.  And just like former-smokers become militant on the topic of smoking, I admit, I have far less tolerance for people making excuses about their weight, than before.

AJ,

You forget two other variables, class and age. Poor women tend to be fatter in the United States than richer women and you tend to find Walmarts in poorer neighborhoods. This article sums it up nicely.

Another factor is age. Younger women tend to be thinner than older women, and younger men tend to be thinner than older men. If you are comparing younger women from the FSU with older women from the United States, and notably older and poorer women shopping at Walmart, you will definitely find the former more likely to be thinner than the latter  :-X

Ed, maybe you could also check out a few of the retirement homes and report in on the scenery there?
I agree partly with GQ on areas but there are a few more varibles in play...one being affluent and other is age demographics......being well off, young tends to being in better shape( or for you guys, hot)
One example is hanging out by The Strand.....the beach areas from Marina del rey to Redondo.... :P

Who needs a condo in Redondo?!?! I now know where all the hot women hang out in Sarasota! Silly me! I've never been to this store in my life. But today I went in there for the first time and saw 2 real hot women! Amazing!  And the name of the store was Goodwill! Amazing!  :P

Vast majority? 60? 70? 80%? I have to say that I am a bit skeptical. Unless of course obese is defined as a few pounds more than anorexic  ;)

I didn't realize we had a museum for children.

Does it show the process of extracting baby oil?
Or The freeze drying process for the powder?

Is the habitat seemingly natural, demonstrating how they survived and the conditions of their little colonies?
How they used music to sooth the Savage Breast?

The vast majority of women under 30 were at least 50 lbs overweight??

Now I know you are not being honest.

Last time I was there (very recently) I was at a mall overlooking the bay I could not keep my eyes in my eye sockets. Even my wife told me that. You may know this mall, it is open, like a village and the trolley is nearby.

Ed, let's be frank. If you say that women and fat, ugly, whatever other nasty adjective you may want to hurl and they come from Sarasota, you'll get no argument from me.
