I think I just found a "tutorial" and a pretty accurate description of how the events evolved with Texan guy.
Everyone, please feel free to share what do you think about this video:

TLDR the whole thread, I'm no doctor, but is that even possible?

The girl has been in custody for a few days, an she sold out her friend and confessed to her part in the robbery.

The police had the victim at the station to identify the male in custody, but of course, the victim could only remember the girl. However, the victim was told they had evidence linking the man to the crime, and that they had fingerprints, or some other evidence. I was not at the police station, but I arranged for three people to be with him.

He was told the male wouldn't give up the third person, the second male who took part in the accosting.

He is waiting on a copy of the police report, will have some tests tomorrow, and Wednesday, and if given the go ahead will return home.

I don't know if either of the accused in custody have the money to fight this or to get out of a prison sentence.

Will release more as I learn more.

Congratulations on achieving the result so soon. You've done tremendous amount of work and helped the Texan man and his mother.

Thanks for the acknowledgement. Still wish I could have done more - like prevent it, or have convinced him not to pursue girls on Anastasia, or take the apartment I wanted to rent to him. Couldn't convince him.

Excellent work Vai!

That's great progress in such a short time.

Good thing about the finger prints.

I hope the guilty pay for their crimes one way or another.

Dude, you get hit once from the left - CONCUSSION - you get kicked from the right and again - 2ND CONCUSSION - kicked a third time from the side, and - 3RD CONCUSSION.

Sounds like your head has had an easy life.  :cluebat:

OK. Had an opportunity to sit down with the victim today prior to his doctor's appointment and was able to clarify some details that will hopefully answer some questions that some of you have. The victim seemed quite lucid for the first time since the accident that I have seen him.

He said, and his mother confirmed that he was on video chat with his dad on Tuesday the 22nd when the girl was at his flat. That is when the girl asked him to come to the door, and mom confirmed that dad was extremely concerned when Greg said, "I gotta go". That was when the attackers were at the door at the behest of the girl.

Yes, the translator previously told me she had spoke to him on Thursday, but her lack of intelligence has already been established, so this makes more sense.

The victim said that he was on the floor bleeding until shortly after dawn on the 23rd, Wednesday when he woke up, went to take a pee, and grabbed an apple off of the counter. Then, made his way to bed, and that is the only thing he did for the next three days, eat fruit that had been on the counter in the small kitchen, and take a pee. He said that he woke up periodically, and saw 4 sunrises. That would be Tuesday to Wednesday, Wednesday to Thursday, Thursday to Friday, and Friday to Saturday. He was not conscious very much, and said there was blood on his pillow, but nothing like what was in the room.

He said that he had tried the house phone to try to call someone, but didn't know anyone's number, and the house phone couldn't call internationally.

He said that the first person who actually came was the owner of the flat, a man in his early 30s who only owns two flats, in the same hallway in the same building. The victim said he was so happy to see someone, and the owner called the translator, who came with her mother. The mother is a doctor if you recall, and her mobile phone can dial internationally. So, that should clear that up. Also, yes, when he called home, he had his sister enact the wipes on the laptops, that was just automatic for him. The doctor called the police, and I got there almost an hour after the police. So, he had been up about 1 hour and fifteen minutes when I arrived with my posse.

He had two laptops, two ipads, and an iphone because he intended to create a satellite office here and said he would regularly use all four of these devices at the same time. Also, he is dying to get to the Radio Renok to try to recover the laptops if possible. He's happy to pay for them as stolen items. So, that tells me the whole insurance fraud idea was correct.

What else. He said he doesn't remember much else from the day we arrived other than the fact that the mallet and girl's belt from her jacket and a male jacket that was too big for him were there. I asked if it could have been the owners because the owner was about 6'2", and 190 pounds, but he assured me that it wasn't.

Also, he stated that they took a jacket of his (I guess it is possible the perpetrator took the victim's jacket by accident and left his own trying to leave in a hurry.) and a necklace (gold chain) stolen.

He is not quite ready to give up on finding a Ukrainian bride, and was renting by the day because this particular apartment wasn't available the second week, but would have been available after that week, and he was planning to rent it longer term.

He was not aware of the whole registration process, and longer stay availability that someone sent me yesterday. So, he's happy about that. His mother was shocked at the number of good looking girls here, and I told her in the winter time, this is nothing.

Also, this guy has never paid for a prostitute in his life. So, the whole sex tourist gone bad theme doesn't fit either.

Let's see, the doctor visit wasn't so good because he has a hole in his ear and cannot travel for a minimum of one more week. The flat where he and his mother are staying is having internet trouble and hot water trouble. If we cannot fix that, we're going to have to move them to another flat.

The black and blue around his eyes is going down fast on his left eye. His right eye is still ugly, but nothing like it looked like when I first saw him.

The victim is in good spirits, and like I said, trying to consider what his options are for a partner if he goes back. He just doesn't believe the prospects are as good back home to find what he is looking for. He's definitely willing to look at girls a little older and more serious if and when he re-starts his search.

Anything else? I will update you as I learn more. I am going to try to make their time fun here since they have to stay here for another 8 days minimum.

Great update.  Does the victim have a laptop?  It would be great if he could start anew.  A little wiser, I'm sure.  Our folks here would be on their best behavior if wanted to drop in some time.

Thanks for bringing us up to date.  You have done a life changing service for this man and you have been very correct in what you have shared and not shared with the forum(s).

Vaiano thanks for the updates and showing that the police system in Ukraine can actually work.

Too bad the victim is out of the hospital already, he might have tried to charm some nurses. I hope he will manage to enjoy his stay further and hopefully this gives his mother some time to get accustomed to the FSU as well. Might be a great support later on.

I think I am going to try to help him find a used laptop. I want to thank you Jone for your kind words. All of you, thank you. Your words are much appreciated.

There is still more work to do, so my work is not done yet. He'll be here in Ukraine for a while longer while he heals. Will be going back to the police station tomorrow morning to tell them about a gold chain he forgot had been stolen, and to get the police report.

What else? I arranged a tour for him and his mother for Saturday and will try to take them to some cool places too. They need to get out and understand why this place is such a great tourist destination.

Time to release all of this negative nonsense, and enjoy life a little bit again.

It's easy to become complacent and let your guard down. This happened to me in Mexico a few years back. I was used to people walking up to me asking questions or selling something and one day a guy
walked up to me like everyone else and stuck a 9 mm in my side. He told me that he and his buddy were going to separate me from my brand new Nissan truck.

Long story short, I ended up with his gun and watched the two do the hundred yard dash in 5 sec flat.

So the moral of my story, while I still go to Mexico, I don't let anyone walk up to me like that anymore. unless her name is Salma  :P

The girl has been in custody for a few days, an she sold out her friend and confessed to her part in the robbery.

waiting on a copy of the police report,

Will release more as I learn more.

It's been a week since the cops took her into custody. Is she and one or both of her partners still in custody or on the streets walking freely? Have they been charged with a crime yet or are the cops waiting for a bribe that influences the writing of the police report? Hope you keep us posted till the end of the trial vaiano777. With the confession, conviction should be easy one should think but then again confession with cops and confession in court are two different things.

Are you going to tell what caused the problem?  I have been waiting for OP to tell everything.

I will help start it - the alleged victim was seen with another mans woman.  He was warned to stay away from her.  He did not.  Also, nothing has been reported with the US Embassy in Ukraine - why not?

No one is going to be in jail long.

Have fun with this one but there is two sides to every story.

Shadow, direct contact with embassy which was not reported and then locally to city.  When I saw this thread, I had to join this site as its a serious matter.  But did not make sense when I see the OP's previous threads prior to the incident thread.

Its actually very common for a RM to beat up a foreign man dating his woman.  Happens more than you think especially when you try dating the real young hot ones who have rich boyfriends.

The men involved where not the boyfriend either.  They also followed the woman to the apartment to find where the man was.

To be fair the the OP I think he is telling the truth on what has been told to him.  But the OP is not a native speaker and how would he know what the police are saying.  Police do not speak English well in Odessa.

Story is really hard to follow from the OP and it appears he is  trying to gain business from someone elses misfortune.

Note to future travellers - if a RW is very young and looks like a model make sure she does not have a rich Russian or Ukrainian boyfriend.  They tend to be jealous and believe their above the law.

Cobra, just curious.

Did you join here just to cast doubt on what the OP wrote?

Are you connected in anyway with the dating site in question?

Don't know; just asking.
