Well, just watched various news channels for 2 hours at the gym. There is enough evidence and witnesses to hang this guy at least a thousand times. What the heck, he has been communicating in writing, ackowledged that he and his brother indeed plotted and executed the bombings, and named their motives. I mean, how much more conclusive evidence do you guys want?
There was an interview with a lawyer that defended big-time terrorists before. She acknowledged that the defense will work to try to get him life, not capital punishment, using the "he was influenced by the evil older brother" argument.

His apartment was searched.

The Saudi foreign minister arranged emergency meetings first with the Sec. State and then POTUS.

He was declared not to be a person of interest.

Janet "Neapolitan" first said that he wasn't a person of interest, then said he was, then said he would be deported, then said he wouldn't, then said that they had misspelled his name and so she was speaking of the wrong person.

The FBI labeled him as a threat, then dropped the designation.

What we do know apparently is that he was granted a student visa to study in Ohio but he lives in New York and doesn't attend school.

I'm not accusing him of being the master planner, etc, but given all the BS it would be nice for someone to call a news conference and go line item by line item in setting the record straight. At this point it leaves many to believe that something is being swept under the rug. Clear the air. Get it in the open. If the government can't do that, then something indeed is amiss.

If you walk in a crowd and drop a backpack filled with explosives and you are caught on video dropping the backpack and walking away and then a few minutes later there is an explosion...  What else do you need?  Then they go to question you and you ADMIT you did it.  Then they killed your brother because he was trying to kill more people?

As for what I want, I want them to be given the rights every citizen gets.  If they are not allowed those same rights, there may be a time when some think you or I don't deserve them.  I really don't know why this is hard to understand.

There was a young Saudi man among the victims. Given the track record, of course this was checked out. I bet FBI were checking multiple leads at the time. There are literally thousands of Saudi students in Boston area, a huge community. Statistically, I am not surprised one of them got wounded.
The hectic media coverage is another issue. Obviously, there is a huge competition between different channels to cover things first, beat "the other guy" in their reportings. There was an interview with a major network commentator, specifically on the topic of spouting any and every piece of information right in the air, not even checking the sources too much. He said its just the nature of TV journalism/competition nowadays. Youjust can't wait to check your information, you will lag hopelessly behind, the public wants the latest info and fast! Also, social media has to be included as a relatively new impact - its extremely fast and hard to beat as the information delivery option.

If the evidence that exist today is so overwhelming, which IMO they aren't, then why deprive the guy due process?

pitbull, if the process revealed this guy is undoubtedly the bomber, then let him eat justice.

I question why the impropriety in the handling of this case. Why the citywide lock down? You didn't lay witness to Oklahoma city lock down now, have you? New York? Why is it every piece of evidence being put forth is missing a vital segment where they can clearly show these guys in the act? If they shot the cop and took his gun and used it during their alleged gun battle, why not investigate the spent shells or stray bullets for ballistic to find out it was in fact the gun the dead cop had? Heck, find the gun itself. If these guys were manufacturing DIY bombs, send a team to their homes and show us all why this guy need to be burned alive. There's got to be a record of purchase for these pressure cookers and the person who bought them, no? Wouldn't it be out of norm for a person to purchase 2 pressure cookers, much less more than a few in case they need to hurl a few of them at the cops in the event they got into a gun battle, no?

There's so much in this that just doesn't make sense.

They had this guy for 2-3 days in the hospital - tight. Under duress, under medication and likely under extreme predicament. Getting a full blown confession in the manner they want him to do will be incredibly easy to do.

Let's put things in perspective here, we have the technology to find one cow in Canada among 10 million cows which borne Mad Cow disease. We also have the technology to find after an explosion of who, what where and when purchased the exact supplies to build such an explosive device. Building such a bomb takes a number of things and all of which is traceable. Where is this information on these two amateurs? I have not seen one shred of logistical proof on the bomb itself. Have you?
