I have a VK account but I don't use it to randomly look for women. I use it to keep in touch with current FSU friends. Its a crapshoot trying to randomly find women there especially since most people use it mainly to keep in touch with distant friends and family.....

What is apparent from your page is your Relationship status where you show right away that you are actively looking. However Chip, VK is not a deting site. People don't join it with a purpose to actively look. I don't have a full VK profile but it is my understanding that this social network is basically used with a purpose of some targeted communication. The target could be different, but probably dating would hardly be the primary purpose. It is just a social network!

Think of cities you are interested in such as St. Petersburg, Moscow, Kyiv, etc. Search by the name of the city under "communities" and you'll learn a lot about the region. For example, there is a cool page on Odessa: http://vk.com/odessa.city and you can join those communities.

Today just happened to be the day that honey is celebrated in the FSU. Honey is a part of FSU culture. Honey is sought after by many FSU women for the health benefits. I posted translation for different reasons. First, irony of the situation. Chip is asking strangers to befriend with him while one of his already befriended friends warning strangers not to contact her. Second, if Chip is interested in that girl I think he would benefit from knowing how she expresses herself in her native language.

Well, in case a picture includes an interesting scenery, background or if it indeed shows a person in some unusual, rare, eye-catching actions or situations, in other words - if and when a picture provokes questions and makes people curious to know more about the person - in such cases I would agree with you. Just for an illustration, if Chip had been pictured while doing some acrobatic figure, that would be something out of the ordinary, and may result in reactions like 'how long did it took you to learn this?' and so on. Hope you got what I meant to say.

Would love to know how you came to conclusion that I was the one who spammed her and this was her reply to me? This is a girl who asked me to be friends. I never contacted her. The screed (go up to read it) that she writes to spammers is on HER wall, not mine.

And yes, while my Russian is zilch, I was able to read it since Google translates for you.

As for the rest of the comments mocking me for trying to find women this way, please read the original post. I recommended using VK to get information on FSU women. I did not say to use it as a dating site.

People wouldn`t put a single status on their page if they didn`t want to meet somebody. And there is an option to block the profile from strangers.
