Another decade, another attempt.....

Well I am back looking again.  I was a pretty active participant on another board 10 years ago but stopped after things weren't working out well....

Backstory:

Met a girl in Simferopol in 2002, we chatted a lot, cost a fortune on the phone back then, finally flew over and spent 13 days with her and the family. Things were going well.  About six months later we applied or the visa and it took forever.  She got cold feet and said she couldn't leave. Well I get a call out if the blue later that year, the visa came through and she wanted to know if I was still interested.  I agreed to meet in Kiev and see if we could make things work. Planned the trip but had to move it three weeks for business reasons.....well, the lady that was handling my arrangements in Kiev said she used the apartment I paid for to meet some German man and got married that weekend.....oh well.  On a good note, still good friends with the lady that was helping in Kiev and her husband.

Few years go by and I meet another lady in SpB.  We video chat almost every night for four months, finally decide to fly to SpB for three weeks.  Totally odd arrangement, I'm in an apartment and she comes and goes.  Can never see her house. Her friends are all politicians and people with armored Mercedes M class cars. She always made it known she can "marry a millionaire but not looking for that". We kind of agreed that we were better friends that anything, but it was an AMAZING three weeks I'll never forget.  We're still good friends.  She eventually moved to New York where her mother was, bought a $4m apartment and then sold that to buy Judge Judy's Connecticut home a few years ago.  She's married finally and send me a note they are expecting.......

I've spent the last five years living with a lawyer, author and director at my company, 12 years my junior, I'm 46. We had a child together but she got caught with her pants down and I moved on.

I have always remained attracted to Eastern Europeans and enjoyed dating them, so I guess I'm back looking for "the one".

I had quite a bit of experience before, but I'm sure many things have changed over the years.  Money and travel aren't an issue, though time may be depending on schedule with daughter and work.

The previous two were nine years younger than me and of course the ex was 12 years.  I'm attracted, of course, to women five to ten years my juniors, but more so now to ones that have children since I have my girl every other week and longer when the ex travels for work. 

I have no idea where to look, but hit the free sites recently. Also saw someone incredibly attractive on that Belarus bride site, but $1250? Wow!  It's not the money so much as heck that's one ticket but I've seen mixed reviews on them.

Any hints for an experienced newbie again?  I've been trying to read as much as I can.

Get their phone numbers, talk to them on skype then go see the one
who you can't stop thinking about.

Well got an odd reply from the abelarusbride site.  Asked a series of questions about their services and they responded that they aren't an agency for me.  Good, saves that $1250 got other things....,
