Ever notice how popular disaster movies are?  Like an earthquake, or Godzilla destroying Tokyo, or a huge amount of molten lava headed for Los Angeles?

That is what I said in fact-- a reasonable conclusion given  your post quoted above.
Regardless-apologies for any confusion caused. :)

Sorry, One of the cities I am flying through to get to Zap is Kiev. I am not stopping permanently in Kiev. I am continuing onto Dnipropetrovsk.... Umm, big city to north of Zap that has an in bound flight to it from Kiev where the lady from Zap will be picking me up. We will drive back to Zap from Dnipropetrovsk

By the way, how did this thread on air quality in Zap get turned into a discussion on the merits (or not) of taking tours through Chernobyl?

We wanted to warn you of the oddly shaped heads prior to your arrival.  So you're not totally freaked out upon arrival.  Call it a community service...  ;)

Unfortunately, its a common occurance here. Just be happy some of the resident forum trolls haven't turned it into their own personal toilets.  :P

If I remember correctly, weren't those oddly shaped heads from the country to the east of Ukraine?? ;)

As you indicated, it's a very bad idea to travel there. I find it astonishing that any rational person would downplay the danger.
