I read www.utro.ru among other sources of information.  I have sat with cabinet members of your former government and conversed in Russian with them.

You think simply because people stand against war they are not friendly to the Russian heritage I have come to love in Ukraine?  I have spent years speaking on Russia's behalf.

The type of information that you (Russian incursion advocates) are espousing is propaganda, plain and simple.  Don't you think the other side has such propaganda?  How much of it is true and how much of it is spin?

And again I remind, they are blocked from real news there, so they don't know that the second law the gang took right after they came was about language and rights of ethnic minorities.

Yeah wow, it's really unfortunate we're not subjugated to the Russian State media 24/7 so we would know what is really going on as well as what all Ukrainians all know and what Americans say on forums. You have zero credibility and incapable of any intelligent discussion. Good luck in the gulags

There are murders, robberies and rapes committed in every country in the world..yep even in that bastion of morality Russia...it doesn't normally require an invading army to stop them though..it's normally the Police that deal with it.

Can verifiable links to these presumably excessive amount of deeds be produced,or is it all hearsay pro-Russian propaganda BS from the extremists on here again ?

While we're at it can verifiable links to an armed and deadly army of protestors marching on Crimea from Kiev,or indeed anywhere from Ukraine, also be produced, which would show how those Crimeans required protection from those "fascist thugs" by invading Russian troops and attack choppers...or is that once again more Russian and their pro-Russian fans/extremists BS ?

Or is all this BS just an excuse for angelic Putin to invade a neighbouring country now his presidential puppet has been removed from office ?

Just saying it like it is.

Can you show me one individual in Kyiv who was either raped or murdered by the EuroMaidan activists?  In as much as none of the Russian journals I have read state anything about it, I find it unusual that you have a pipeline where all of the Russian language journals do not.

Don't you think your little Kursk rag would have such on it if it were demonstrative?  After all, that was the bastion of the Communist manifesto - raping and killing by the other side.

All you've managed to show us is the Russian troops arriving and people dumb enough to go out and shower them with carnations.   Please, give us your inside pipeline to the "REAL NEWS".

They are not marching, they are in parliament taking laws.If they were marching on Crimea people here would cope with their own forces.

By numerous calls of my friends all over USA asking to explain what is going on as information they get there is limited as well as by surprisingly ignorant comments of some members here on the forum saying such nonsence that it really shocks me.

I think it is important to find and recognize points of agreement when possible.  We do agree that:

1) We should do all that is necessary to save lives and advance the cause of peace.

2) When we do have an urgent national interest threatened like Gulf War I, then we should intervene.

3) The numbers of dead have been small in comparison to other wars.

4) Ukraine's history is one of division.

5) If Ukraine can be partitioned in the cause of peace, then why not?

6) BHO cannot be trusted and is a greater or equal threat than V.V. Putin?

If we do agree on point 6, what then should be our policy?
Hey LT,
I think we are in basic agreeement on most of those points.  I don't know about point 6 though at this point...I'm no big fan of BHO, but he appears to be attempting to do as the US citizens generally want, which is NOT get us engaged in foreign conflicts like the war hawks are always demanding.

Yanukovych   was elected the leader...the populace was going to be able to vote him out soon if they choose to...instead his life and safety was truly in danger (bayanette up the ass would scare me too).  When he fled he lost a lot of his power, especially since he was out of site for a few days.   Somebody has to represent Ukraine now but getting a representative from Russia and the different regions of Ukraine together and seeing what they could agree to would be a good start.  I don't think the USA should have ANY role in the meeting other than facilitating the two sides to get together and helping to calm the situation without pointing fingers.   Perhaps it is time for the Map of Russia and Europe to change a little bit, maybe with a minimum of bloodshed this time.

Imagine the mitigated gall it takes for Ukrainians to be in Parliament passing laws for Ukraine. That just can not be allowed, can it?

Also most of them are pensioners from the US still living in the Cold war :wallbash: just taking the occasional trip to Ukraine and listening to a handful of stories, well more than a handful of stories actually if your living in the "Empire"

Show us all the verifiable links to all these murders, beatings and rapings currently happening in Ukraine Steveboy.

You see the people I know in Ukraine are telling me how everything was becoming calm again in Ukraine..that was until  the Russians invaded and created great alarm among peaceful Ukrainians...you see most decent people don't like their country being invaded.....strange that isn't it ?

And why on earth would I want to meet an anti-western Russian fanboy ? 8)

Completely agree with Jay.

Jay H what should the West do?

I would start by freezing & seizing every  Russian citizen & Russian Oligarchs property and assets possible to find in the west------ that will get the only people that can apply any pressure on Putin that he cares about attention!! :)
That is what I would do today. :)
SLAVA UKRAYINI  ! HEROYAM SLAVA!!!!
Слава Украине! Слава героям слава!Слава Україні! Слава героям!
translated as: Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!!!  is a Ukrainian greeting slogan being used now all over Ukraine to signify support for a free independent Ukraine
