But I must ask. What's up with allowing an exchange of ideas in a manner such as in this thread? I got threatened by Barney Fife, I mean Daveman years ago for getting tough with folks. Have the mods relaxed some and decided to do what should of been done all along; Allow folks to say whatever? Apart from cursing, I believe a hard exchange of thoughts is necessary to make a man either question his thoughts or stand his ground.

As before the idea in general is that the members are old and wise enough to be confronted with harsh words.
We do still look to the delivery and the use of inappropriate language.
In the cases moderation does step in, accepting is the best way not to get in deeper trouble.

I give the Mods a pat on the shoulder because I couldn't supply the time to read through all the stuff. Dan needs folks to have the ability to allow or lock a thread.
 But, what I have seen in the past 2 weeks is this board has become basically boring. Perhaps if I was reading from a point of view of learning it would be more interesting.

In the past, the moderation was too "Barney Fife" for me. Dudes that were not even married to RW and looking were moderating. I understand that because being
a mod takes a person's time and probably hard to find.  But, to "get in trouble" with a mod is a very ridiculous line of thinking.  I agree that using curse words is unacceptable. Getting into trouble with a mod is like "So what." It seems like Democrats are running the operation here. Be politically correct and say the right things. Don't hurt anyone's feelings.

In my opinion, it's the past moderation that has led to this board being basically boring. I'm amazed at the low number posts in the past 2 weeks. Perhaps the current moderation is the same. I should start  a thread and say men should propose during the first week because I did and it worked. Then continue and say don't marry a woman more than 15 years your junior because it most likely won't work. Then this board would get fired up.

What's the benefit? One word: Newbies. Men unsure of their process could read the exchanges and learn and will remember what they read here in their process.
But, there could be some heated exchanges; And that's where the mods should sit back, relax, and enjoy the exchange. Let it flow naturally.

This thread was obviously cut from another thread, and I can't chime in because I don't know the beginning. I would like to evaluate if Steveboy is talking out his behind or does he have something to offer. But, when a man offering services challenges another person who disagrees with his (Steveboy) thoughts and challenges him to say it to his face in person in his country,  one should probably steer away from this dude.

I have warned in the past there there has been an underflow of PM traffic which was giving advice out of sight to new arrivals. Apart from that this leaves bad advice unchallenged, it also allows for 'friendly' warnings against posting in open board due to the risk of being ridiculed and/or attacked. This has led to many people not contributing openly, and probably ending up in more trouble as they could have.
