I kind of doubt that Putin is dating Wendi Deng, but there are news accounts that
say that Putin is dating the 6 ft tall 47 year old exwife of Rupert Murdoch. In my
mind she is far too tall, not Russian enough and too old. She can't be banished to
Siberia or found dead in her apartment from a suicide with knife wounds in her back
if she decides to write a tell all book. There is no way that he would allow them to be
photographed together highlighting his diminutive height That's just my opinion.

Anyone know what is the official listed heigh of midget Putin? His actual heigh will be at least 1-2 inches less than that. Hope this rumour is actually true. The photo of Ms. Deng towering over this little midget will be priceless...

Wow, that is a beautiful woman. She looks amazing for 47 years-old. I think every man wishes he had a wife that beautiful when she is 47. I've never dated an Asian girl, but have often wanted to. I think Asian women are extremely beautiful.

I wonder how many men who started off looking for a FSU Wife...ended up looking in Asia instead and ended up marrying a lovely Asian woman?

The girl who does my Sister's hair, Kim, is a 35 year-old Asian lady.....oh my goodness!! When I go with my Sister to the hair salon and watch her little 6 year-old Daughter while she gets her hair cut on the weekends....when I stop and talk to Kim and chat her up, I bet it is ridiculously obvious to her I am flirting with her. She is so damn hot!! Smoking hot Asian girl.

I'll start a new thread about this. It will get buried here.

Wow, that is a beautiful woman.

Not to me by any stretch.

And, I am not adverse to the Oriental look.

But this gal looks like she has been ridden hard and put away wet.

I know plenty of late 40s FSUW who look much, much better.
A beautiful woman is pleasant to look at, but it is easier to live with a pleasant acting one.

I'd say nothing at all. You'd be hard pressed to find a Russian that didn't believe for a second that he and his underlings were stealing from the country. Almost like it's expected. Of course your average Russian will never hear of the Panama Papers

From what I'm reading, it seems that Poroshenko is directly involved in Panama. I guess he is getting a free pass though from westerners.  It seems to me that this could be the height of hypocrisy though, if his involvement indicates he was evading taxes that is pretty much the same as stealing money from Ukraine.  I wonder where the outrage is among some of the 'angry' article cut and paste specialists.

Ukrainian President Under Fire Over Panama Papers

KIEV, Ukraine (AP) — Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko found himself in a political storm Monday after leaked documents from a Panamanian firm pointed to his offshore assets, with some adversaries calling for his removal from office.

Poroshenko, a candy magnate who won election in 2014, insisted Monday he has done nothing wrong and hasn't managed his assets since being elected.

But Oleh Lyashko, leader of the Radical Party, said Monday the trove of data on offshore financial dealings revealed by an international media consortium has implicated Poroshenko in alleged abuse of office and tax evasion....

It's no secret that off shore holdings and shell companies are set up for the sole purpose of evading taxes and discovery from certain countries or governments. Funds that need be sheltered this way most generally at the very least "questionable" attained and usual case scenario illegally obtained.

Any state leader with such funds should be immediately investigated.

Iceland's Prime Minister Sigmundur David Gunnlaugsson is to resign, his party said on Tuesday, becoming the first casualty of leaked documents from a Panamanian law firm which have shone a spotlight on the finances of an array of politicians and public figures worldwide. The Panama Papers showed the premier's wife owned an offshore company with big claims on Icelandic banks, infuriating many in his country who joined mass street protests calling for him to resign.

We might have former presidents [maybe a current president?] former vice presidents, former sectys of state [mouth watering there?] former FBI directors involved.

From what I'm reading, it seems that Poroshenko is directly involved in Panama. I guess he is getting a free pass though from westerners.

There are a couple of principles at play here:

First, if he is guilty of tax evasion then he should be subject to the same penalties as anyone else.

Second, unlike Putin, Poroshenko owns businesses and has worked in the private sector to earn a living. Putin has never had a non-government job in his entire life and his wealth is from a position of power. I don't immediately hold Poroshenko for that reason (although if he has evaded taxes it is another issue) as given where he lives, even wealth from gainful sources can disappear quickly when government is in the wrong hands. I'd take mine offshore too if I had great wealth in the FSU.

More accurately a Russian plot to fire a shot across western leaders( & others) bows to let them know they can know everything.
Putin directly controls a specialised  intelligence(hacking) unit that reports directly to him.

I do find it interesting that the Kremlin media puppets began pumping out fresh warnings of Western media attacks against Mr. Putin, the week before the Panama leak.

Coincidence?

I think not.
It is one of the curiosities of some clever people--they presume they are the only clever ones-and/or they are superior-in other words-they think everyone else is dumb!
Of course coming from a world where telling a bigger lie is the best way to distract attention from the earlier lie! What can you expect.

Gorbachev urges West to stop 'isolating' Russia

Moscow (AFP) - The last Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev on Thursday urged the West to stop isolating Russia and take a more "constructive" approach in response to President Vladimir Putin's moves towards normalising relations.

The 85-year-old who presided over the breakup of the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War argued that Moscow has an "important and positive" role to play on the world stage.....

Perhaps Putin could start by "constructively" ordering all his troops to withdraw from Ukraine - ALL of it.

Russian forces in Syria fired on Israeli aircraft
Reuters

Russian forces in Syria have fired at least twice on Israeli military aircraft, prompting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to seek improved operational coordination with Moscow, Israel's top-selling newspaper said on Friday.

Asked about the alleged incidents, however, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said: "In this case, Israeli press reports are far from reality."

But Netanyahu, in remarks published by Israeli reporters whom he briefed by phone on his talks on Thursday with Russian President Vladimir Putin, said "there have been problems" regarding Israeli military freedom of operation in Syria.

Russia Tests Hypersonic Glide Vehicle on Missile
High-speed weapon to match U.S. prompt strike weapons
BY: Bill Gertz

Russia conducted a flight test of a revolutionary hypersonic glide vehicle last week that will deliver nuclear or conventional warheads through advanced missile defenses, U.S. defense officials said.

The test firing of the hypersonic glider took place Tuesday and involved the launch of an SS-19 intercontinental ballistic missile from eastern Russia, said officials familiar with details of the test.
