I don't hate Russia. I am not a fan of its authoritarian government nor its invasion of Ukraine.
After the fall of communism, the biggest mistake Boris Yeltsin's regime made was not to disband the KGB altogether. Instead it changed its name to the FSB and, to many observers, morphed into a gangster organisation, eventually headed by master criminal Vladimir Putin. - Gerard Batten

And you believe the U.S. Government is not an Authoritarian Regime?

No. There is no comparison.

6 Government whistleblowers Charged Under the Espionage Act by Obama's Administration.
The Espionage Act had only been used three times in its history to try government officials accused of leaking classified information — until the Obama administration came along.

All of these people have been driven to ruin by false allegations and government misconduct, yet none have ever faced trial. In each case the charger have bee dropped just before entering a court of Law.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) routinely persecutes companies, individuals and families yet no one within the government agency ever faces criminal prosecution.

In the Internal Revenue Service case specifically the Lois Lerner debacle, the IRS routinely misled the courts, outright lied and withheld evidence and yet no one faced any punishment.

The current issue with Hillery Clinton's e-mails, the administration put the reliant information on hold for 75 years.

The list could go on for pages, the corruption is beyond compare. The Propaganda fed to the public by the so called the media is either false, ignored or fabricated.

Freedom is an illusion. Is Russia any different no. Yet you say that you do not approve of Russia taking Crimea, what about the U.S. toppling the governments of Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, Chad and installing puppet governments and attempting to do so again in Syria

You're barking up the wrong tree on that one.  I was always vehemently opposed to the invasion of Iraq, and never believed in WMD.

Afghanistan was required, as its regime was harbouring the terrorists who perpetrated 9/11, was asked to hand them over, and refused.

When the US starts banning public demonstrations, jailing people for five years and up when they post on facebook that they oppose the Iraq or other wars their government is involved in, or for exposing government corruption, executing political opponents walking quietly on the streets of DC and jailing other political opponents on trumped up charges, controlling the media, and taking control of the nation's wealth, then redistributing it to cronies, and the foregoing list is systemic, you will have an equivalency argument.

Then we basically agree that much of the recent U.S. Government actions overseas have been wrong and likely War Crimes?

That will make the million upon millions is innocent men, women, children the aged and infirm rest easy in their graves.

If you do not have the proper permit try demonstrating in the vast majority of America. Exposing government corruption will get you thrown in prison, if you would like I can cite several recent cases. The U.S. falsely imprisons a number of political opponents, one recently died in prison. The Government takes money collected from the people and gives it to corrupt foreign governments fully aware that most of the aid will never make it to the people. Over $20,000.00 USD in cash and benefits to each so called refugee, while U.S. Military Veterans, those men and women who heeded the call to serve their country are homeless, hungry and in need of medical attention from a Veteran's Administration which allows thousands to die and then covers up the evidence.

Lets talk about the U.S. Black sites where imprisonment and torture were and are a daily occurrence.

Are you aware of just how many corporations control 90% of the media in the U.S.? Media control and corruption is a fact of everyday life.

Have you ever heard of the Military Industrial Complex? The revolving door from those in the Military to the Defense Contractors and from the Elected, Appointed and Staff withing the government who leave and go to work for the very companies that lobbied for this or that contract. Crony corruption? What about the Clinton Foundation taking in over 100 million dollars while giving 15% to charity all the while while she was an Appointed Government Employee?

Tell me exactly how different is one countries corruption and abuse of their citizens different than the other?

For one, if you were living in Russia, you would not dare post any of the above as it applied to the Russian government.

Unlike in Russia, you have the power to change any of the above, to the extent they truly are problems, in the U.S.

Here is the story of a Russian jailed for the crime of discussing things on social media that the government didn't want him to discuss.  Fifty four other Russians suffered the same fate in Russia last year.

Your very naive if you believe the U.S. will change without a major War be that external, Civil or from cataclysmic natural event.

The corruption runs too deep, the bureaucracy is to entrenched and the officials at the to are beyond corrupt.

Making broad generalisations laced with a few "dubious" facts is what the TP has in common with the the Russian troll army.  Divert attention at any cost away from the evils of this current Russian administration-- and it's despicable record.

Making ridiculous  comment after even more ridiculous is TP's speciality--laced with doubtful claims about himself makes him a long way below credible.

The illogicality of the assertion that the US has done xyz in the past  therefore Russia is entitled to invade and murder Ukrainian citizens-- yep- really logical(not_ !! :cluebat:

Although not relevant to the story itself, it's interesting to note that the husband in this story is 17 years older than his wife - who is only 23.  They have a four-year-old son.

British hooligans have been in battle with any and everyone since they arrived 3 days ago.
The Brits were having a lively time singing to Russians!!
"England fans singing the Putin-khuilo (Putin is a dickhead) song"

Shameful scenes as Russian fans charge at England supporters inside the stadium after final whistle

Russian hooligans hunt down England fans in sickening street battles in Marseille

Shocking scenes of violence have broken out again in Marseille as England and Russian fans have fought running battles in the streets.

A gang of 20 or so Russian fans all clad in black have been hunting the English in horrifying scenes - with one man filmed being punched and kicked on the ground as French police watched.
http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/england-russian-fans-fight-running-8166177

Of course-- the world is mistaken -despite all the video evidence-according to Russia-it never happened !!

Euro 2016: Russia turn blind eye to violence saying 'there was no clash' with England fans and blames organisers in Marseille

Russian sports minister Vitaly Mutko has claimed disturbances between Russia and England fans following last night's contest in Marseille have been "exaggerated" and added "there was no clash".
But Mutko appeared blinkered to the incident and said that everything was "fine".

“There was no clash… that’s being exaggerated.

“In fact everything is fine here. When the match ended, there was no barrier between the fans. The British were upset, of course, but it all quickly dissolved,” Mutko said.

In a way, Trump (If elected) as Commander-in-chief might be able to stop a lot of the aggressive nonsense we are guilty of abroad.  I don't know if he would, but he is saying the sort of things that make me think he would try.

Either American traitor or Russian troll...if the former, his use and knowledge of English is highly deficient; if the latter, his English is much better than the average moskal troll, but, still, it is not at the level of a native-born English speaker with a university education.

So, disgusting, treasonous sob, or disgusting, ignorant Kremlinite troll...take your pick, but let's stop feeding him!

Looking at the bios of the first two groups in your link, I note they all committed serious crimes. They weren't jailed for blogging.

Hardly comparable.

Your hatred of Russia is understandable as you appear to be an extreme nationalist, then again so were many of the National Socialist Party.

Generally speaking no country is entitled to invade another yet it happens, so other than getting upset about it what will you personally do?

The U.S. government for the past 4 administrations has targeted people with Drone attacks and hundreds of innocent people have been killed and wounded. The U.S. and numerous other countries have ground troops in Syria in an overt attempt to topple the current government and their Air Power bombs daily yet no Declaration of War exists.

Right or wrong Russia now controls Crimea and there is little chance they will give it back in any foreseeable future, so unless you are going to take up arms in an effort to kick them out (good luck with that) what are you personally going to do?

This quote is from a Swedish newsblogg - so I dont take any credit nor can I verify whats being written.. but this has been in the swedish news here for a few days, (we are so afraid of the big bad russian bear) :)
Quote
RUSSIA Right now an extremely large military mobilization in Russia, where practically everything from professional committed to the reserve personnel are included. The large contingency control arouses reactions in Sweden. "With the strength building now being implemented in Russia, the end of the week will be enough dressing to make it what the Kremlin wants," wrote Twitter account "Observationsplatsen".

Very little information is available about the massive military mobilization that are currently underway in Russia. According to information, there is a so-called emergency control in almost every military district. Besides professional active dressings also called reservists in, then people who made military service earlier in his life. Even in the Russian mobilization warehouses implemented contingency control.

Answers to major NATO exercises

Russia hastily summoned great exercise should be seen as a response to NATO during the summer carries three major exercises, of which Sweden is participating in two of these, BALTOPS and first army exercise anaconda in Poland. BALTOPS is primarily a naval exercise over the Baltic Sea that also covers Gotland.

The third NATO exercise called Saber Strike and ended on 15 June. The exercise took place in the Baltic States and Poland, which in practice covers large parts of Russia's western border.

In the Russian media are perceived NATO exercises provocations against Russia and it even described as war preparations near the Russian border. Similarly, according to many military experts in Western countries to rearmament in Russia must be answered with more troops in Eastern Europe.

Twitter Account "Observationsplatsen" which is known to monitor the Russian military, noting that Russia takes the staff from Category C bond, which is the type of joint longest mobilization time. By mobilizing both from Category A, which has the highest combat readiness and Category B and C can in practice be a total mobilization of all the military resources of the military district where readiness is checked.

Twitter Account "Observationsplatsen" is a Swedish account

Quote
The Russian site http://tvzvezda.ru/news/forces/content/201606171524-dg8k.htm says that some of the staff called in his military service for between 10 and 30 years ago.

Defence blogger and author Lars Wilderäng has followed the readiness check carefully and he points out on his blog that mobilization also includes nuclear weapons.

"Since all the units covered by the mobilization, albeit unknown partial or complete, as it also includes the strategic missile forces, ie all nuclear units, including nuclear units mothballed or reserve," he writes.

Further, he estimates that the Russian emergency control may be the largest military exercise since World War II.

"Putting aside the actual mobilization to launch an all-out war, we see probably the largest military exercise in modern times, even ever since World War II (where similar was used as an excuse for the invasion)," he continues.

Multitasking means screwing up several things at once.

Moscow Building Spy Site in Nicaragua
Signals intelligence facility part of deal for 50 Russian tanks
By Bill Gertz

The Russian government is building an electronic intelligence-gathering facility in Nicaragua as part of Moscow’s efforts to increase military and intelligence activities in the Western Hemisphere.

The signals intelligence site is part of a recent deal between Moscow and Managua involving the sale of 50 T-72 Russian tanks, said defense officials familiar with reports of the arrangement.
