I'm sure Chamberlain was a nice guy and had good intentions but he will always be remembered for his policies of appeasement signing the Munich agreement allowing Germany to annex some parts of its neighbors. What if Obama signed an agreement with Putin allowing the takeover of Crimea hoping Russia stops its aggression in East Ukraine and other parts of the world?

Stalin did quite a bit of appeasement as well when he finally realised war with Germany was coming. He did everything possible to buy more time.
