I'll take another look around for Dreamweaver in English but last time I tried, about a month ago, it wasn't to be had. The problem is they only get 1-2 copies in English & when they are gone it could be months before they replace them. They'll have dozens of copies in Russian however.
I have found most of the computer geeks here & especially the gamers prefer English versions to Russian as there are less bugs but they still can't convince the guys supplying them that English versions are preferable.
As for downloading them from the net, only two problems, one I pay my internet by the megabite, which really ain't a problem as it would probably cost the same to buy it or even less than what it would cost for Ken to send me a copy. The biggest problem is the unreliability, it isn't uncommon to be in the middle of downoading & lose my connection & have to start all over again. Thats when it starts to get costly. Our connection is bad, especially when its raining, I lose my connection all the time. I'm trying to work & poof, down goes the internet. Really sucks for what they are charging us for it.
Anyway Ken don't send that off right away. I'll check a couple of places I know & see if I can stumble across an English version. Besides if I buy it here I can write it off to the company. ;)
By the way, I think a white border around the pics & such would look pretty classy.

Can't go changing those banners too much as I have agreements with the owners on an exchange basis. Some I can go visit & get a smaller banner but others are what they are. Might be able to resize some of the bigger ones without too much fuss, as long as the links still work, it shouldn't be a problem.

Richard, if you've already cut your teeth on HTML and think you can bear it, then tools like Dreamweaver may be a disappointment. They have a less steep learning curve, of course, but also a mind of their own and you may waste days trying to understand why they obstinately refuse to produce the result you expect  ???.

As if I don't have that problem now....
Took me 2 days to reconfigure 3 pages of code to what I wanted & several times I was close to throwing my puter off the balcony, & I am on the 8th. floor!!!
If there is one thing I have learned since I started learning to build the website & working with different programs it is - THERE AIN"T NO SUCH THING AS WYSIWYG!!!! ::)
If there was I'd know I'd died & gone to Heaven!!! ;D

Richard, if you download a .torrent, same if you connection stop, it is not a problem... a file is cut in chunk, in these case 302 chunk of 256kb... each chunk is build of different part, in these case 16 part of 16kb... so, the more that you will be needed to download again is below 16kb...

I pay by gigabite the price of 1 euro...  how much will you pay for 70 megabyte ? And in these 70 megabyte, you have 20 mb upgrade, that you can only find via internet !!!

I am sure that the cost will be maximum a few $$$...

Hey Bruno, Yeah it wouldn't be a whole lot different cost wise for sure. You pay 1 Euro per Gig, man I want your sevice here, LOL. We are paying 4 rouble per MB. So to download that will run about 280 rouble or 10-12 dollars US. Not alot.
I been without internet for about 36 hours because its was raining & we lost our connection again, gotta love Russian technology LOL.
Anyway went to two different stores today & no Dreamweaver in English. Got one more I want to try tomorrow & if nothing then I'll go add some roubles to my internet account & download it. You don't get internet here unless you pay ahead, no bill coming at the end of the month, LOL. Sometimes I think things here are just so primitive, LOL. ;D

Okay, found it today at one of my favorite stores close to home. Has a few other programs on the disc as well, of what use they will be I don't know yet, but they all seem to tie into the Dreamweaver program. I got Dreamweaver 8.0 & the other programs that are included on the disc are Macromedia Flash 8, Macromedia Fireworks 8, Macromedia Contribute 3 & Macromedia Flashpaper 3, however this last one had some problem downloading & I don't think I got the whole program. Claimed there was a file missing & shut down halfway through the install process.
Anyway I got Dreamwever, now I just have to play around & figure out how it all works & all comes together.
When I was downloading it there was a list of about a dozen other programs that came with it as well but were already in Dreamweaver, the ones Bruno mentioned as well as some others, so I think I got a pretty good deal.
By the way, was only 70 rouble, about 2 bucks, lot less than it would have cost me to download it from the internet. I know, I'm a tightwad, LOL,  ;D but my Daddy always told me a kopeck saved is a kopeck earned, LOL.

Richard,

 I've got the disk burned so I'll send it to you anyway just in case your version has a "glitch" or two in it. Fireworks is the image editing program similar to Photoshop but not quite as robust feature wise. Flash is used to make interactive menus, shows, games, etc., Contribute is for collaborative work efforts within a web team which you will not need.

 Did you get my last e-mail with my Yahoo address?

Sure did Ken & sent one in return, LOL, a long one, LOL.
Hope you can understand what I was trying to explain about the pictures.
Thanks I'll keep an eye out for the disc, but I do think this one should be okay. I'll mostly be just editing anyway, not bulding I don't think. Of course one never knows what the future has in store, LOL.

Due to a glitch in the programming there were several folks who logged into the Free Contact Site & signed up but were unable to complete their registration process & upload their pics.
I apologize for the inconvenience but have been so busy with our main site & my helper was very busy as well that we did not have time to correct the situation. It has now been corrected & I ask those that signed up to return & finish the process.
If you have any problems please read the notice in the Articles section (link at bottom of homepage) for instructions on how to proceed from there.
I thank you for your patience & understanding & hope that it will not deter you from using our service.

Just wanted to let everybody know that we have finally finished the revamp. I made the last fix this very afternoon & have launched the site. The address has changed to what it originally was in 2005 www.tverangels.com.
I would like to say I owe alot to Ken (catsandmouse) & John (shadow) for all their help & ideas that went into the revamp. The FreeSite is still offline but we will get it back up asap.
Our main site is working & a few new ladies have been added with more on the way. The currency converter isn't working however & for the time being you will have to rely on your own devices until we can get it functioning again.
I'd also like to thank all the guys on RWD that gave us ideas on how to improve the site. I hope that the new look is as good in your eyes as it is in mine because I sure don't want to go through this again. It has been a big job & without the help of Ken & John especially I never would have completed it.
Thanks loads guys, I owe you big time!!!!

Stubborn Canadian, the home page still says:
Tver, formally known as Kalinin during Soviet times
It's FORMERLY (or did Soviets have two ways of using city names, one formal and the other informal ;) ?).

I'm told its because the profile lnks are FXXXXXX.html.txt & the .txt isn't supposed to be there. I upload the files in plain text in notpad as FXXXXXX.html, the server program is adding the .txt & if I change it, it won't work at all. Must be doing something wrong, but what?

Very simple... on the gallery page, all the link are Fxxxxxx.html.txt ...

For example, at the page http://www.tverangels.com/Gallery18-29-1.html , the code show

Code: [Select]
...
<tr>

<td valign="middle" align="center">
<p>&nbsp;</p><a title="Inga" href="/F780006.html.txt " target="_self">
<img style="margin: 0px;" title="Inga" height="233" alt="Inga" src="/images/women18-29/F780006-1.jpg " width="175" border="0"></a>
<p>&nbsp;</p></td>
<td valign="middle" align="center">
<p>&nbsp;</p><a title="Olga" href="/F880007.html.txt " target="_self">
<img style="margin: 0px;" title="Olga" height="233" alt="Olga" src="/images/women18-29/F880007-1.jpg " width="175" border="0"></a>
<p>&nbsp;</p></td>
<td valign="middle" align="center">
<p>&nbsp;</p><a title="Alla" href="/F880008.html.txt " target="_self">
<img style="margin: 0px;" title="Alla" height="233" alt="Alla" src="/images/women18-29/F880008-1.jpg" width="175" border="0"></a>
<p>&nbsp;</p></td></tr></tbody></table></td></tr></tbody></table>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
...

You need correct each Gallery page too... simply open them in a text program and use a "seek/replace" function... seek ".html.txt" and replace it by ".html" ...

Now, if i open http://www.tverangels.com/Gallery18-29-1.html and select the first girl, i have :
Code: [Select]
http://www.tverangels.com/F880003.html.txt
Not Found
The requested URL /F880003.html.txt was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache/1.3.34 Server at www.tverangels.com Port 80

But if i type manually http://www.tverangels.com/F880003.html , the page render perfectly... remove the .txt at the end of the file name was the first step... now, you need to correct the link in the catalogue page...

PS: You have certainly use some software for generating the code of your site... And of course, a Windows software who don't respect fully the WWC norm...

PS2 : For the dynamic converter multi-currency, take a look at http://dynamicconverter.com/ ... like the previous time, you need to register yourself since the code generated will only work for your server... begin with the Pro free version who allow 10,000 requests/month ... if you price page is see more that 10,000 time month ( maybe in a few year when you will be the only agency in Tver), upgrade to the Gold version at 346.64 rubble month...

Edit : Speak too much fast about saying that the ladies page was perfect... by example, at http://www.tverangels.com/F880004.html if i click the "previous" or "next" button, it link to page who are Fxxxxxx.html.txt ... so, check your code of all pages and change ".html.txt" by ".html" ... change all file finishing by ".html.txt" by ".html"

I found one more bug, not sure how bad it is but once into the site if you click on Home in the left side menu it takes you to the wrong page. Ken is working on that as the way it is set up I will have to go through every page on the site to change it individually. He worked it out that way but I have asked him to see if we can code it so we change the left side menu in one place & it changes on all of them as I have more pages to add in the future it will make things much easier.
As for the currency converter I was hoping for something a little simpler. Something like where the person just types in the amount he wants to convert, selects convert to currency & presto change-o. That way I don't have to link every price on all my pages to make it work. Just one cute little box on the pages where it is needed. LOL

TFF LMFAO  ;D ;D ;D

I have check al the gallery page... you have forget to change the links in one page :
http://www.tverangels.com/Gallery30-44-4.html

now second stage... each page Fxxxxxx.html need to follow the same procedure due to the link "previous" and the link "next" ... for example, http://www.tverangels.com/F590044.html , the two link at the right upper side "previous" and "next" send to page named "F610042.html.txt" and "F560051.html.txt"

In reality the link using pic with bird need  to be corrected "Fxxxxxx.html.txt" changed to "Fxxxxxx.html" ... the text link "previous" and "next" are wrong too but not in the same way "previous" don't lead to the previous profile but to the main gallery... the link "next" send to a other profile but not the next one...

Again the same example :
http://www.tverangels.com/F590044.html

1) Clicking of the left bird send to http://www.tverangels.com/F610042.html.txt ... need to be changed by http://www.tverangels.com/F610042.html

2) Clicking of the right bird send to http://www.tverangels.com/F560051.html.txt ... need to be changed by http://www.tverangels.com/F560051.html

3) Clicking "previous" send to http://www.tverangels.com/MainGallery.htm ... need to be changed by http://www.tverangels.com/F610042.html

4) Clicking "next" send to http://www.tverangels.com/F590044.html# ( stay on the same page ) ... need to be changed by http://www.tverangels.com/F560051.html

For 1) and 2) , simply apply the procedure used for the gallery page

For 3) and 4) , it is more complex... not so simple to change... certainly you have make a mistake with the program who generate the code... it lead to html page, extensie are good but it lead to the wrong page !!!

It is possible if you work with frame and html page for each frame...

By example, a page title.html , a page menu.html , a page pub.html , and your other page... a first page with 4 frame... one on the top who load the title.html , one center left with menu.html , one center right with the page desired, and one below with the pub.html ... when people will browse the site, only the center right page will change...

Make your choice, you have thousand of them... use google...

Bruno, if you look at the page code, you'll see Richard's site is not frame-based.

Okay Bruno, fixed, I hope, LOL. My internet is running low so gotta go put some money on it.
The only profiles that should go to the Main Gallery is the first profile in each group. The ones you listed I just uploaded last night & forgot to put the hyperlinks in so were using the hyperlinks from the template. I'll have to be more diligent when adding new ladies.
All seems to be working now.
Off to the office for a bit & then I'll look into those links you gave for curreny converters.
Thanks guys anything else you find, don't hesitate to let me know, but sorry, can't do much about the loading speed. :)
