Passport Stamps
« on: November 15, 2006, 07:28:39 AM »
I found this interesting in another hotly posted thread, but so not to derail that one, I decided to start a new one here.

As far as travel is concerned; wanna compare stamps in passports?  It would be shorter to make a list of those countries that I haven't seen, than the ones I have.

So, where has everyone been?  I came across this site a year or so back, and it makes for interesting discussion.

I haven't traveled as much as others, but my map looks as this:

I used a more traditional approach in http://www.floriani.it/travel-eng.htm (warning : passing the mouse on certain images should play an audio clip ;)).

I give up.  I am not going back and click on all those countries.  It was  a lot of red, but a little less red than JB's.  My most interesting trips:  Afghanisatan and Ethiopia.

JB, not all of those countries have oil.  Were you on a Delta team in your military days?

One of "my women"  (Nr. 1, the younger one) went to Zambia at age 21 by herself with a 10-month baby (long story).  The person who was suppose to meet her at the airport never showed and could not be called.  Her husband was to come later but he could not get out of Russia.  She stayed for a week there (mostly at Russian Embassy) and returned to Russia, forever hooked on international travel.

One more try:

Two 'round the world cruises to "show the flag" helps a lot.

Not that impressive but lived in most of these places, not just tourist travels.

Worldwide travels aren't too impressive:

But I have seen a bit of our country, spent at least a month in each of these places:

WOW-- Looks like I need to work on Africa!

Lots of stamps, but not so many countries. Seems I keep going back to the places I like. Got a new passport in 2001. Had to send off for more pages in 2004. With Ukraine not needing a visa any more, and them loading me up with pages, I should be good to go for awhile.
