Ken, I don't have a problem with either of your answers.   I was not commenting about your post, I was commenting about I/O's.   I think you are making a good point.

I was in Virginia Beach last year and the place was teaming with RW there for the summer.  I think the same holds true for many vacation areas that now have a hard time attracting the American college students that used to fill the need.  I share with you opinion that most of them are rich kids who come here to party and see America and I think most of the partying goes on with the other Russian students who come here for the summer.   I think it would be difficult to break into that circut and find a gal.

I do think that there are few options in this persuit for an AM looking for a long term relationship that does not lead to marriage.   Perhaps if the AM was independently wealthy and could spend a great deal of time in the
FSU then it might work.  Otherwise the only way I can see it working is to find one in America.   I think one way is to look for ones here with a work visa for the summer.  I don't see that option as a good one, just as a possibility.  If you were not looking for something perminant you could have a chance of having a summer fling with one.  Otherwise the only option that has any possibility is a GCG or someone who had made a bad choice in their one week wonder and is living here.   I think in reality he might want to just go after what he can find and not worry too much about it until he reaches a point in his life where he wants to find a gal to marry and spend his life with.   There is a reason they use the term we don't like MOB!

No jb, not particularly scoping them out.  It just becomes quite noticable when everyone you see is speaking with a Russian accent.

As a note to confirm the rich kids wanting a summer vacation, Luda looked into agencies that provide the Russian workers for the summer resorts.   They charge an average of about $ 1500.00 to the RW and RM coming here to work and they have to buy thier own tickets.   That means they are investing about $ 2500.00 to come here for three months and make minimum wage.  They would be lucky to break even.

I am very familiar with these programs as we had a house guest here last summer that came on one of these summer work programs.  She was a daughter of a friend of my MIL in Russia.  She was a spoiled lil beeotch.  She skipped out on her last month of work at a resort in the Smokey Mountains to fee load here for a couple of weeks and then off of someone else in SF.  She "thinks" she is going to do it again next summer too.  Ummm, nyet.

Ken, in case you don't realize it I usually try to avoid any confrontation with you. You seem to like to disagree just to disagree.
Certain posters like me and maybe Photo Guy seeme to have no validity as far as you are concerned.
Maybe Plume appreciated my advice because he is not ready to go to Russia as he stated. If he cares to travel to the ocean he will probably have contact with a RW at some point if they are everywhere. Maybe they are not working 24/7. I gave the advice because maybe he needs to see some women in person. It is a pity these scammers prey upon Americans in hope we will send money. I noticed when I joined Match.com a few years ago there was always a letter from a HRB waiting for me.

apology

KenC, I am sorry if my remark seemed harsh. Please read my pm also. The last sentence of your post was a little sarcastic but maybe not as sarcastic as my last sentence.

I think I have come a long way from the early clueless days at RWG  to maturing and finding a Russian bride. I am trying to work at the marriage.

Along the road you and jb did have a little fun at my expense and I believe in forgiveness, however, the things that were said still linger in the back of my mind.

You and facetrock made some comments in an old thread that were rather hurtful at the time and jb posted his "Floating Down Denial" thread on RWG in which me and several others were mentioned.

Turboguy and I are friends and I am sure he knows I am not perfect. And my post was inappropriate. So I am trying to apologize if you and jb were offended.

I have told several people I was thinking of posting less. That maybe my posts were irrelevant. Lately I have posted just to post but I think the guy who was scammed needs to find a RW on his own turf.

This is enough for tonight I have to get up early tomorrow.

Clyde,
As I told you in my PM, the respect you have earned over time is well deserved.    You have come a long way since then too.  We won't agree with everything written by the other, but at least in my case, it has nothing to do with the past.  It is water under the bridge. Goodnight.
