Hello,

    The tears were real and it was really hard for me to not cry along with her. I know it hurt me very much to watch her try not to cry and those
big tears popped out in a way I have not seen or remember seeing. It was as if she tried so hard not to cry that when a tear escaped it jumped out with force. I've got a few pictures of her as we departed which I may post here and the look on her face is happy but even in the picture I see easily whats going on. Such a graceful and proud woman is what she is and a damn strong one at that.

From what you have said about this Anna, I believe it might be possible for her to get a tourist visa to USA.  You said she was 39, had a good job, car, etc.  Probably she has family that she would leave behind.  If Anna got the visa, it would probably be good for one year, so you could get to know her better and she could also visit Mark and whatever other men she is writing. 

Having sex on the first day you meet does not seem unusual to me if you are both serious about marriage.

I may be wrong but I think that the relationships that start with sex on first day together do not last long.
However it is not unusual for people who start a romance on the internet to have sex the first time they get the chance

What is the correct waiting period?  Give a specific number of days or dates.  No vacillating here please.

And where is the proof or even evidence that waiting periods are positively correlated with longer lasting relationships?

As I said it was just my openion that may be wrong.

A couple has to have compatibility in several areas or they will not last.  For example, they can be compatible intellectually but not socially, or they can be compatible sexually but in religion they are not compatible.  Who says which is most important or which must be decided first.  If she's bad in bed, it probably won't matter what kind of a brain she has and if she has an IQ less than her breast size, that also probably won't last.
