Maybe I am wrong, but I am not shore. But I am shore that a guy name Scott posted a lot of info about Simferopol on the old board www.brama.com. He lived in this city. But maybe this was a differendt Scott from the US.

You answered before I modified my post.  Sorry about that.  I had to think a bit to remember.  Yeah, that was me on brama.  IIRC I did post my picture on my profile there for a period of maybe 2 weeks around 2 years ago.  I must have made quite an impression if you still remember.  :D

He he thanks Scott. Yes the photo where of you in a boat or something. MAYBE I am not a liar anyway????? :) ;)

He he I have a strong and clear head, and I knew that I have seen your photo. We had a nice discussion about war relicks in Simferopol Scott (on Brama).

By the way your post about Simferopol on Brama was interesting reading.

But a big credit to you, you could have said that this was not you, but you was honest. Thank you!

Well, you had it partly right.  The only photo I posted was one of me and my wife in my profile section which was viewable by members only.  Maybe you weren't so impressed as there wasn't a boat in the picture.  Maybe you mistook the boat for me.  :).

He he How many times have you been to FSU?
13 and counting.  The point you are missing here Thor is your inability or unwillingness to be up front about your agenda.

I'll give you a little practical, experienced advice.  If you post a new thread on this board and list these things, 1) I will help you run a newspapaer add if you would like to try, 2) I will charge xyz fee for same, 3) I will charge xyz per reply to screen them to your written requirements, 4) I will charge xyz for X service etc etc etc get the picture? My guess is you would get knocked down in the rush of guys interested in doing something similar. Personally I think newspaper adds are a great idea. The most ironic part of the whole internet introduction scene right now is that Elena from elenasmodels.com met her husband through newpaper and magazine adds. If you go all the way back to your introduction thread, you will note I was encouraging and supportive of those who think outside the square.

What you have achieved here of recent times is demonstrate you know a little about one part of Ukraine, very little about the rest of Ukraine and nothing about the FSU in general.  Time to realise you have not done anything amazing by finding a lady in the Ukraine. Hundreds before you have done the same WITHOUT your help and hundreds will continue to do it with or without your help. You need to wake up to the fact that you MIGHT, if you are smart (So far your agenda here indicates otherwise) be able to craft yourself out one tiny section of the market. You are not and never will be THE MARKET. Get a clue and move forward.

I don't have a wife.  :cluebat: You know about the rest of the FSU? You've never been to Russia.  What percentage of the FSU does Russia form? Quite a lot last time I checked the atlas. My purpose of comming into this thread has been well served, that was to highlight your agenda.  I am, as exampled in other posts, now satisfied others can see you clearly for a lightweight. Mission accomplished.  8) 8) 8)

OK. And you are not married after 13 trips????

Hmm But still you regards yourself as a advocate for newbies??

In business and sports have I always looked at the one that was successfully I/O :). Always looked why and how they was successful. Try to learn from them :).

If I am a ligthweigther, what are you then if you have been 13 times to FSU and still not married? Some peoples stuns me because they cant see why they have limited success and why they don't listen to more experienced and successful guys. On one thread here someone said that the guys who keep comming back time after time are the guys who will not listen to other guys I/O.

Newbies, look at the one who had success in findind a wife in FSU :). Some guys like I/O say that it is easy to marry a girl in FSU, but then why is he not married...It is not easy at all guys, it needs a lot of work and preparation. Do your homework and listen to other who had success. Then the chance of being successful will increase a lot!!

OK. And you are not married after 13 trips????

Did I say I travelled to the FSU always looking for a partner? Tsk Tsk Thor you really are not much good at this debating thing now are you.

Did I say I didn't have a partner? Did I mention that she found me? Did I say newpaper adds were a bad idea?

The only thing I implied was a bad idea was getting mixed up with people with hidden agendas.  For a boy with a mouth, you could do well to learn to read before you open it.  The answers to all your questions and a lot more are all over RWD.

What we'd all like to see Thor is simply the price list and that would put an end to any speculation.  When will we see it?

I've been away for a little while but I'm curious...  have we seen Thor and Slava's Price List yet?

Maybe Thor and Slava can run some Ads in RWD now to pay for the free promo they've been pushing here...

They like ads right?

And maybe they'll need some help...  They should get an expert to help them...

Hello to all...
Many of you have read my saga in another thread....
After much research I agree with THOR that the newspaper ads are a great way to go....
I think that we have all been missing out on a big piece of the pie relying on agencies only... The problem with many of the "bad" agencies is that they tell the girls to expect gifts, money and fine dining from Americans, and thus the whole process starts off on the wrong foot....
Of course, there are a few decent agencies out there, like Tver Angels, Allbeautiful.net, etc..
I think better yet is to try mix of ads, honest agencies and referrals thru friends that you build up after numerous trips to Ukraine.
The Journey continues............

I have tried newspaper ads with less success, but I was looking for a tall woman who will accept that I have 3 children, so the % of answer was definitely lower than the average ...

So newspaper can be good if you are not looking for the rare bird ..

The whole process of finding a suitable and compatible FSU wife is not as easy as much of the "FSU dating industry - agencies" hype promises, but with persistance, patience and educating yourself to the whole process, it can be a (more) successful journey, with less pain and heartache.....

Umm, would that be considered a BFO? Seems like it is something that has been said time and time again around here. Good to see that there is some power coming back into that light bulb but you've done a lot of wrong thinking for a long time now so I guess all I can say is that the jury is still out on how it will go in the future.

Don't get me wrong, I do hope that this lesson sinks in and you find the future that you desire.

Good Luck!

FSURookie...

With all due respect... it's far from impossible too.  Actually... a mans chances of success are probably directly related to his grasp on reality.

Aim too young...  you're in trouble...

Fall in love too fast... you're in trouble...

Be blinded by beauty... you're in trouble....

Don't believe anyone that says agencies don't work.  If you meet a girl in a shop and lose your head you're likely to end up in pain too...

It takes common sense and a good grasp on reality.

Best of luck!

Kuna,

This is thrue, but many of the agencys dont run a honest business. So if you want to use a agency then do your homework and be shore that it is a 100% honest one.

Thanks for the comments Kuna. Your points are well taken.
Anyone can get scammed anywhere.
However, until Ukraine develops "true" marriage agencies that actually try to be a matchmaker and not a moneymaker, the agencies will always be a risk. Especially when research more deeply into the agencies you will see there is more a formula for failure present than say running a classified ad or using Bride.RU. Of course, there are scammers on all avenues, just more of them at the agencies and agency web sites. It's kind of like Vegas. If you have a budget and a certain amount of resources, you place your money where it can be most effective. My problem in the 2 years that I have been trying the FSU dating scene is that I did NOT best utilize my efforts and resources in the best manner, along with the fact that I ignored a few flags. The FSU dating scene is a more tricky one these days, but as you say it is not an impossible one.... And I feel the risks are still much less than what one can face with any "materialistic" American women......
Based on the half-dozen or so guys that I know have used classified ads in Ukraine, they are all very happy with the overall results.....
Actually, I think they are on to something here....
Could this be a reasonable way to find many of the otherwise silent "decent and sincere" FSU women crowd? It appears to be worth a shot..... And then, of course, apply all the common sense rules and commandments that one would normally apply to any FSU dating situation.....

That has got to be the most rediculous statement I have ever heard.
No company & I stress that, NO company can be a matchmaker or guarrantee you a wife & any that do are idiots & anybody who believes they can, well I'll leave that unsaid. ::)
I can't even guarrantee a woman will date you. How in hell am I supposed to guarrantee a match or marriage, totally ludicrous to even consider there is a possibility.
Its up to the two people involved to decide that, not a third party & IMHO if you can't be bothered to find your own match & woo her & make her yours, but leave it to some agency, then you don't deserve her!!

Richard,

The problem with many agencys is that they provide girls they know are not honest girls to honest men....Thats the BIG problem in this industry!!! They do this because this is business Richard and all about earning money. They are well awere that a girl is into this for the money and gifts, but they dont remove her from the agency lists... Yes I know that you run a honest agency, but you must agree with me that there are to many scam agencys out there who ruins honest agencys business or what? AND also it seems to me that there are a lot of focus in the media about the scam in this business.
