If you are a freshman you will need help to run newspapers ads!!!! That is not bullshit at all! Most men comming to FSU will be confused by a lot of things, like that few speak English, differendt letters and so on. Bullsh...t not at all!!!

The language issue is always contentious around this forum, I am one who feels that language is not as big of a deal as some would have others believe. I met 32 ladies and only one spoke what I would call acceptable English, the rest knew a few words at most and some none at all. Yet in every meeting I was able to communicate well enough to get a feeling as to if the lady was interested in me and if I was interested in her.

My wife knew almost no English when we first met in the Bahamas, yet for 10 days we managed to communicate very well, when she returned to Russia she began studying English and when I met her again six weeks later I could hear the difference.

I think the major problem is that some lack the communicative skills that are required to deal with someone who cannot speak the same language. I did not have that problem & obviously neither did you or I/O.
Sure it wasn't easy, but I maintain that nothing in life worthwhile is easy.
Anything can be achieved if the willingness to achieve it is inherent within' those involved!

Just take a quick look at a couple of the regular female posters on here.  Most guys would be "Licking their chops" to catch one like either of those two.  Look at KenC's Lena, Olga who doesn't seem to be around much anymore, JB's Etna and the list can go on and on..........All high class ladies and English speakers.

I am happy enough to see you use this board to promote the ideas and service of those you are connected with, but please for the sake of the freshmen, do it openly and transparently.  Right now you are not doing that.

But yes I agree that many girls cant speak English in Ukraine, I don't now how it is in Russia since I never been there. Latvia is now member of EU and the market there are dead when it comes to find a bride, Romania? I don't care about Romania at all!!
I don't agree with you that men should only look for English speaking girls. That will limited your numbers of girls a lot!! But when I mean I say that many of the most beautiful girls, the 9 and 10`s don't speak English so is this my impression. It could be different in Odessa and Kiev, because this girls are often goldigers there. They use their beauty to be taken to restaurants, receive gifts and so on.

Combine Russia and Ukraine in your search for a girl??? I don't agree at all. Better find one city and learn to know this city and search for your girl in that city. Remember Moscow have 9 mil, St Pet 4 mil, Kiev 4 mil and Kharkov 2 mil....Why go to several places to look for a girl?? If you cant find a girl in one of this city's so change the way you search for a girl

On many boards like this it seems that many peoples are starting to avoid to go to Russia to find a bride. Why? I am not shore, but I think that the prices in Russia, the economical improving a lot year by year can be the reason why.

My wife spoke almost no English too. But day by day here English was improving and she went to English course. Today here English is good. The language barrier can be solved easily, but the hard part is before she learn the language. But when she starts to learn more and more words she will learn the language fast.

By the way Richard, I support Edmonton Oilers (has been a fan since Gretzky, Messier played there in late 80;s). What is your favourite hockey team??

Wrong again Thor.  If you ask KenC he will tell you his wife spoke English before they met.  Olga has lived in the USA approximately one year as I understand it and spoke English BEFORE she went there. JB's wife as I understand spoke English before they met. Lily speaks fine English now as does Jazz, need I continue the list?

You are painting a picture of one tiny little area of the the FSU, namely East Ukraine. Basically "The Boonies" by many measures.  You again make generalisations regarding the women from Odessa and Kiev.  Show me your evidence.

Where did I say you should combine Russia and Ukraine in a search?  Fact is I have promoted the opposite in other posts.

The key reason more are going to Ukraine than before as opposed to Russia, is the easier visa regulations.  BTW your figures aren't quite right regarding Moscow.  IIRC 13 million at last count.

Thor to promote your associates business is fine, but to go about it the way you are is undermining your own credability.  Why not come straight out and say, "If you would like to run a newspaper add in xyz city, we will help you, we will screen for you and we WILL charge xyz fee for it".  Cut to the chase man and cut the BS.

You say that you are a advocate for newbies, right? Are you serious when you say that a newbie can organize and run ads by himself?? That is just a bullsh..t statement I/O, BULLsh...t!! Maybe 90 % of the girls responding to my ad spoke Russian, some of them spoke English when we meet, but was very afraid of speaking English because of lack of belief in them self.

Did you find a wife 4 years ago when you used newspapers ads?

I have always said that it is better to stay in 1 place. And meet Russian speaking girls too. No one is arguing a one city approach can work but that is not the only option, everything depends on how much time, energy and resources any given man has. I/O, myself and other's had the time and ability to search far and wide throughout the FSU for exactly what we were looking for, other's may not have that same opportunity. Thor you are far to narrow focused on how you did things, other's like myself were successful going about this process differently, get it through your thick head that there is no one way to go about finding a lady, only what works for each gentleman.

Now in response to your challenge, I'm posting a picture.  Unfortunately most of my pictures of her are on my laptop and it is on the fritz.  This is not the best picture because it was taken with a webcam when she was not dressed up and hadn't done anything with her hair or put on makeup.

By the way, she looked at your ad and picture and said that she would never have responded.

Disco's and dance clubs went out of fashion in America in the 80's you simply will not find what you have experienced in America anymore, what is left in America is bars that offer live music and dancing, more often than not you will find the less desirable AW in these places.
