FAT is rampant in the U.S.  Most guys I know over 40 are out of shape.  The guys who scream the loudest about fat women in the U.S. are usually not prime examples of fitness themselves. Going to Russia or anywhere overseas I'm shocked that the locals identify American men by how fat they are. Yes, there are fat men in the U.S. too. For every fat woman, there is a fat guy sitting on his damned couch.

 It's a shame. I know a guy who was married to a Cuban girl who is quite a bit overweight himself. It's quite anoying that everytime went anywhere he was the one to point out all the fat women. At one point he did that and his Cuban wife finally tired of the whole  hypocricy turned to him and said,"You are fatter than that woman". I busted out laughing. She eventually split a few years  later. He still complains she was an ungrateful bitch who should have been grateful he "rescued" her from her poverty.

   Meanwhile had he been more focused on his own fitness instead of harping on  every fat woman within range and ignoring his own obesity, quit making fun and putting down women, he may have had more success in his marriage. His resentment for woman in the U.S. was quite evident.

    Too many guys seeking overseas wives are overweight themselves. Yet that seems to be the #1 complaint.  I keep myself fit because I don't like fat woman. But I also know a majority of women are not into fat men. Like someone before asked "How many of you are in the perfect physical shape"? From what I have seen in my travels all over , sadly the answer is too few!

He was blaming AFA for not saying she was a scammer. But why doesn't he take responsibility for his actions?  He's 58yo  after all.  He wants to blame others for his stupidity, and this is how he was able to show up and be made a fool of. Any guy who has it together ,wouldn't boast about the age of his latest bride, nor would he of been scammed like that. Further more ,if one did get scammed as bad as he did, they surely would show up to tell their story.
 
 So you see, he can't take responsibility for himself,and by blaming others he justifies his actions.

Perhaps he's trying to take the bad that happned to him and turn it into something good by warning others? Your argument essentually silences the the victims of fraud and allows the scammers to go unchecked. IMO it is the low road. Yeah Mike should tread carefully in his presentation of the youth of his latest bride. That gives a boost to the arguments of those that dislike men who marry foreign women.

Dan I have said this before these shows are pre-written, the writers/producers have already decided what the "show" will be like. I am not a bit surprised by the account you linked above, I would never be part of any production as I do trust these TV people.

Direct or reality show are only a dream... they don't exist anymore... and if you are good and can say logical counter argument, you will be "deleted"... why do you think that they call this type of reportage "a show"... if you wish reality, you have more change to find it in a channel like "national geographic"... they have already make some interesting reportage about foreign relationship... unfortunaly, it was not a show but a ethnographic report... something real but boring... people wish show, not the reality...

These site, BridalInterviews, is was owned by K4I, they sell it now... K4I is part of WWDL ( owned by Kenneth )... Kennet is one of the 3 creator of AFA... AFA is working with WWDL... when i have make my search one year ago, in 2006, the site BridalInterviews was actif... a "who is" search have lead to the address of office from AFA... the register was kenneth...

Most normal companies would at least say their name and thanks for calling when telling you to leave a message. I left a message as an interested customer. Maybe I'll get a call back, maybe not.

I also called the number listed for Kiss 4 impacted productions. The number belongs to a lady from a private residence and knows nothing about kiss 4 impact productions and she said I might have called the wrong number. As far as I'm concerned, the website is BS without a legitimate business phone number.

I do question some of AFA's business practices but they are hardly putting up profiles of women half nude in skimpy bikinis in numbers compared to Hotrussianbrides and AnastasiaWeb.

Well, I can't really comment too much since I haven't seen the show yet, though I am looking forward to doing so. Based on a quick read of the synopsis of it, my first impression was that the show took a pretty sensationalistic approach to the issue. That's not surprising, given what these daytime talk shows usually are like (although I don't know how Tyra's show is run). It seems to me clear enough that the Katerina Sheridan case was real and that scammers are also real, and these things should absolutely be discussed. That doesn't mean that these dangerous/exploitative situations represent the "mainstream" of people involved in international marriages; as you would expect, I have met a bunch of very sincere and decent people in the course of my research so far. It would have been interesting if a show like Tyra's had been able to talk with both men and women in a human way about why they decided to do this, what challenges they have faced along the way, how they felt about the potential risks and gains, etc. Again, I haven't seen the show yet, but it doesn't sound like that happened. Finally, like many accounts of "mail-order marriage" (and I'm using the term here only because they do), the Tyra story falls easily into talking about men as "buyers" and women as "purchases," as though these marriages are not "real." That idea seems to be more of a starting assumption than something that is well explored in the show, which is problematic. But again, I'm just speculating since I haven't seen it yet!

I do not understand why anyone on this forum would have difficulty believing the direct connection between many foreign bride sites and porn, after all it is all about the money. I caught part of the Tyra Banks show.  It was such a hatchet job I couldn't bear to watch it all. 

The Russian woman subject was the most beautiful woman in the room, and the jealousy could be seen on the faces of every fat ugly woman shown in the audience.  Even Trya Banks was out classed and I'm sure she realized it.  I felt very sorry for the RW.
