I'll hazard to guess that the number of children born out of wedlock in FSU is MUCH lower than in America. They don't call America "Sex Prison" for nothing and that's for various reasons including the lack of proper sex education in school because SOME parents won't allow it.
 

dj, American's marry at a higher percentage rate than people of other nations. I would say kids are born out of wedlock is higher than the USA. Divorce is also much higher in the FSU. Much less chance for kids to be born inside of marriage. Much of the younger generation in the FSU don't use condoms. They may have less of or less serious sex education over there. If for some reason there are less kids born out of wedlock than in America, it could be credited to the high abortion rate in the FSU. In some of the FSU's toughest years, 70% of the kids were getting aborted.

There has been no racist remarks in this thread.  He asked about perceptions based on skin color and we commented without prejudice nor racist remarks.  I personally can't stand racism myself having great black friends. 

We would be doing DJ a diservice if we were not honest.  Regardless if he takes our advice or not.

I didn't see what you said Billy so I couldn't comment.  The way Kuna posted it almost implied that Indians were only good a taxi driving.  It sounds like you didn't say it that way or meant it in that fashion so nothing to worry about.

Now for your attack on William.  William didn't say anything about you in his comments.  It looked to me as if he was just posting a response to my comments regarding hating racial slurs.  So why are you bringing him into this?  Maybe you should work on your reading skills Billy because you are attacking the wrong people here.

I agree. Tomorrow, my wife and I are having lunch with some friends. He is a Black man from West Africa and she is from Minsk. He speaks fluent Russian as well as French. Very nice guy. He spent his adult life in the USSR and then Belarus. This is actually his second Russian wife: his first wife was sadly killed and he then remarried. Besides, beauty is in the eye of the beholder: what is a great beauty to one man may be a plain Jane to another.

Read the "Should she report him to Antidate" thread to see Kuna's twin in action. Then you know his recent comment was clearly directed at me and if the little brat wants to continue going around taking shots at me, he will get called on it for every time if that's the attention he desires. There's better things to do with one's life and better ways to act but some people just want to be different. I can be polite with people in a debate although they act immature. But my patience with them will wear out eventually.

My experiences with black people in the FSU: One black man worked in a hotel in Moscow.  In St. Petersburg, a RW sat on a rail and had her legs wrapped around a black man, probably her bf or husband and nobody stared at them. A young black boy, around 10 yo, was on a school field trip with other Russian kids in St.Petersburg. He played with the kids as if they were one and the same. I seen one profile at an agency where a RW specifically asked for a black man. I seen 3 black men sucscessfully married in agency testimonials.

Warning! Stop reading here Thomas or take off your panties! I've read on forums from many RW admitted that they will have nothing to do with minorities. One poster even admitted his wife was racist.

dj, as long as you know you have an uphill battle finding a RW and you might be single for some length of time tying to find the RWs who'd embrace you without reservation, then mentally, you will be better prepared for the journey.

  I don't think that would be a problem, I am very selective with whom I call friends and it's safe to say that you and many others on this board would never fit into that catagory.  As far as you hurting my feelings, I seriously doubt you have what it would take to get to that point.  I've been in Law Enforcement for over 13 years and and worked every where from ghettos to barrios to trailer parks, so I've developed a pretty thick skin. You DJ are not saying anything I haven't heard before, just a slightly different beat.

  Everyone's against you in some form or fashion because your black, I get it.  I am not black so there is no way I could ever fully understand what you have been through, I am white and you can never fully understand what I've been through.  So there, we know where each other stand.

  As long as people focus on their differences things will never change, folks need to find common ground and work from there.

I am assuming by education, you mean formal education such as a university.

A formal education is no guarantee of intelligence. (considered throwing in GWB here .. but naww too easy.. Yale should be proud.! )

Intelligent people can educate their selves without a university. They might not become a doctor or a lawyer, but can certainly be successful, interesting people, who you would not know did not attend a university. (I have also met people with degrees who can't find Europe on a map)

Not that there isn't value to the educational system, I just don't use it as guide for choosing who to have a relationship with.

It is much more likely for Russian girls to marry nonwhite when these men are actually living in Russia.
I even know a Bangladeshi and a Pakistani both Muslim who are married to Russian women.
However doing it by distance dating and internet agencies will be rather more difficult.

Well an interesting historical story in this regard is that of Abram Petrovich Gannibal. A black African man from Ethiopia who was a favourite of Tsar Peter the Great. He rose to the rank of a Major General in the Russian army and was Governor of Tallinn. He was married twice, first to a Greek woman and then to a Russian woman of Scandanavian-German ancestry. Gannibal was a great grandfather of the greatest name in Russian literature AS Pushkin.

I don't have anything against Kuna and William for their style of debating ridiculing others to get their point across.  They do enough harm to themselves and I don't need to retaliate the same way.
