A couple of things you can do to help yourself as well...
There are a couple of dictionaries for this sort of thing, one is Russian: Lonely Planet Phrasebook and The Rough Guide to Russian - Dictionary Phrasebook. Personally, owning both, I prefer the "rough guide" but both have Russian English Dictionaries that include transliterated (the Russian word spelled with English letters) examples. Plus they have a lot of other useful information.

The other thing is if you use the Firefox browser instead of Internet Explorer, there is an add-on extension called Russ Key that will allow you to convert individual words or whole paragraphs between English/Russian/transliterated Russian with just two clicks of your mouse > здравствулте!, хелло, hello...
