What did I miss here????

A lot... your woman was 36 year old... a time where woman think a lot about child... the woman of turbo is very young and children is not already a priority of a urgence...

Second, i have see that all these detail are more usualy speak in the communication before meeting... during meeting and after, the relation itself is the main topic... it is why i use always two of 3 month for write before meeting, this allow me to speak over several subject and know a lot about her and around... after meeting, the world begin more little and it is usually only about us and our relation...

And some woman will know nothing about your past... Larisa have not wish know my past.... but always, she was asking why are you so, why you make this... so, i use use time to explain her that i don't love anymore my previous wife or girlfriend, that the past is the past... but these past have make the man i am now... that she will understand the actual man, she need to know his past... only after this, she have agree to know my past... and this have lead to some jealousy from her... and it was need a lot of time for convince her that it was not needed...

Some woman choice to ignore the past of man, for start all from zero... sometime, it is the easy way...

One relation is not the other, one woman is not the other... don't try to apply a unique model to a new relation or woman...

In the case of Turbo and Luda, it is true that she was not ready... you have some technic for so interview... when he have ask about the name of child, she have reply she don't know... the go move was to remember the photo show and other detail say and explain it... " they are both two adult, one is blond and strong... the other is like his father, bot work in the society of father, ... " ... if she have not say that she don't know but have explain all she know to the CO, maybe she have her visa now... the Co try to lead the dialogue, she have need to take the control of the dialogue... if she have know that the CO cannot obligate her to have a interview in English, she was secure in Russian... here is the big mistake, she have not know these rule... and normaly, it was the work of Turbo to inform her... don't forget, russian is not the main language of CO, woman can more control the interview...

Seriously, a interview with CO is like interview for a work... they try to be dominant and control the discussion... make all for have the control and you win... you have a lot of book who explain how win during work interview... apply it to CO interview... never say that you don't know something, explain what you know, try to have a more high position, be secure, when situation become difficult, reply tro question by other question who lead the discussion on other way where you know better... See debat with politic man, they use the same method :D:D:D

I think Bruno is right.  I think women who are older and have children think more about things like that.   I have had women ask me about my children in the first letter and want to know everything up to what they eat for breakfast every day and how they do in school.   I have spent a week with FSU women and never had them ask much including the names.   It has been a long time but I don't remember talking about the names with the first gal in 93 or with Irina who seemed like she was going to be my fiancee in 01-02.

That is right.  She became my fiancee without me knwing her age.   We only had one trip prior to that time and were really busy talking aobut so many things it just never came up.   I really didn't care.   Age is just a number to some extent.   I guess it is strange.   When I was there I did not expect things to progress quite as fast as they did.  It is considered impolite to ask a lady her age you know.

Elen you asked how far my ex-wife is.  Uhhh, how about this.   I just moved into a different house.   Actually Luda and I were supposed to move in together Tuesday night when we came back from Russia together,  yea sure.    I even followed someones advice and had a new bed here wall wrapped in plastic that we were going to have to put together when we got here.   Anyway back to your question.  I had lived about 15 km from my ex.   In the house I just moved into I am   ahhhhh.  a two minute walk.   A driver and a 7 iron,  three city blocks, how ever you want to say it.     I don't worry about that a lot.   As long as we don't cross the street when my ex is coming we will be fine.   We will probably run into my ex at the holidays some anyway.   We don't create any problems for each other we just quitly stick a few pins in voodoo dolls.

I worry more about an ex girlfriend.   She ever runs into Luda and I, all H-ll will break loose.  One of my few attempts at dating someone close to my age and the gal is wacky as all get out.   I had to get a court order and hide out for a year and a half to get rid of the gal.  I had knives pulled on me.  She burglerized me.   And what nationalitty is this wacko.   Hummm Russian.  Not first generation though.

Turbo,

I live in Texas with my two children and thankfully, my ex-wife lives in Arizona.  So, it's not a problem with her just popping by for a visit.  I haven't seen her in over three years, and happy!!

As for the woman who inquired about my ex, well it never really got off the ground because I didn't think there was any chemistry.  I know it sounds strange, but I just didn't click with her.  Don't get me wrong, she's a nice woman, speaks and writes English, attractive, and in my age group.  It just wasn't there...

Jon

I have offered to pay to relocate my ex to Arizona but she never took me up on it.  It is great that you have your kids.   I think that shows a lot of character.   With your kids there I think your ex should pop in some.

I see mine about once a year.  Usually at my daughters at Christmas.   We are civil.   I am sure if she heard something bad happened to me there would not be a lot of sympathy but that is ok.   I spend 23 years with the gal and have been thankful every day since to have that part of my life past me.

I think asking about an ex and hitting it off are two different things.  It is great when they are interested in your past.  I had to meet an awful lot of gals to find the few that I wanted to think about persuing something with.  I don't think I ever found any that I was as comfortable with as I am with Luda.

Elen,

It is what many people refer to as "hell". So yes, it is the best place to send an ex-wife...

If you took the age thing out of the equation, it probably would have been another rubber stamp job.

Not quite Ken!

I actually have a friend over there right now who's fiancee had her interview with this prick the day after Turbo's fiancee. She is 38 and Bob is 46, hardly a monumental age gap. She was 12th in line that day and 9 others before her were also not issued visas by this particular latino CO. The approval/denial ratio for the two women COs was CONSIDERABLY more favorable on that morning (and they were apparently conducting interviews in Russian). Bob managed to get in to see the Advocate General at the Embassy, and while she could not come out and say it, she made it very clear that she understood there had been many complaints about this one CO and the way he treated people during the interview proccess.

Of course the CO should have some latitude in his exploration and verification of the relationship, but it struck me (and apparently the AG) quite strange that he would REFUSE to look at any supporting documentation. Every time she tried to pull out photos or phone records, he put his hand on the envelope and told her "don't bother, I don't want to see" and yet when the AG reviewed the casefile notes, his reason for non-issuance was "lack of documentation proving continuing relationship"

Jet,

I need to know the complete name of this purportely Latino CO.

Do you know or does she know what the name of this guy is?

Was the visa finally issued to her by the AG?

Turbo,

Does Luda know the complete name of this purportedly Latino CO?

If no, does anyone know what his name is?

Thanks,

E

Erwin,  I do not know the name of the CO.   As of right now I don't think the visas have been issued for jet's friends lady or for Luda.   I think both of us are hoping for something good to happen this week.   For me it will either be something good or something bad but I do look for a final decision around the end of the week.   I think Bob and Irina hope to know something on Tuesday.    Maybe jet knows the name of the co or can get it from Robert.

Thanks, Turbo.

I understand that he is supposed to introduce himself to each lady he interviews and that he should have a business card that should be given to each lady upon request.

I do need his name and the name of the AG.

Thanks,

E

Erwin,

check your PMs. I don't know this guys name but Bob might (or he may be able to find out before he returns to the US in 2 weeks). Something does smell quite fishy here...

Bob and his fiancee should have an answer sometime this week as they only dropped off the additional (original) evidence last Thursday, 4 Aug. I do know the experience in whole has been very traumatic for them, as I'm sure it has been for Turbo and his fiancee.

Fishy?  Why is the U.S. not allowing citizens of Russia into the states?  Maybe something is going to happen soon...

Keep checking your local paper or just watch television...
