The ones we've visited are all co-ed, usually there are a lot of couples and single women.

Okay, my banya experience is limited to wooden banyas in a village or at a dacha. Never have been in a co-ed banya in Russia. The men usually go in first (when it was hotter ;)) followed by the women.

"Man can't clean!!!"

"Man is only good for making mess!!!"

"All man durak!!!"

"Skatina!!!"  ("sweetheart")  ;)

"Chto eta?!!!  Chto eta?!!!  Chto eta?!!!"   :wallbash:

I hope you are being sarcastic here. The word "скотина" refers to cattle and when you call someone this you are saying they are crude, lowbrow and mean.

Yeah, that's about right, I wouldn't put on the dress for her, or be her doormat.  I'm such a "pizduk durak Amerikanets!"  Probably her other terms of endearment would be appreciated in this forum. ;)

Hey, look at the bright side, at least she taught me to curse like a Russian truck driver!  :P

Her Mama will be so proud  :P  Just tell her you would expect such talk from a Village girl lol.  She might be apt to kill you, if you say it.  It is the counter to to such terms.

Doll can teach you some good ones ;)

LOL! That she did

So, when did she start using the terms of "endearment" on you?

About three months after we were married, back in 2002.  Seems she thought American men were wussies who jump to the ceiling upon any woman's command.  She must have missed the part that warned about NYC men.

Her Mama will be so proud.

Well that's the sad part, her parents are very nice people, took me in like a son and I'm really sorry to lose my in-laws.  They gave their daughter everything so she thought the world owed her everything, instead of appreciating what she'd been given and who gave it to her.  Just like AW... "YOU OWE ME!!!"  Oh well.

Heehee... we were down that road a few times, but MUCH worse than her have tried and failed miserably.  (I'm 6'1 200#, she's 5'1 100#.)  When she would hit and slap me I'd just laugh at her, then she'd start throwing stuff at me.  The cup of hot tea was the best, I told her "thanks I was thirsty!"  Didn't think much of it, heard many say marriage to RW was "exciting."  Actually that was my problem, she not a RW, she's a TW.

NO!  "Zlaya Tatarskii Vedema!" is the appropriate counter to such terms.  ;)

Any hope of finding a true "gentlewoman" ANYWHERE these days?  Or, should I just move to Antarctica and hang with the penguins?

"Et secan!"

When I fell through a trapdoor into a 3 foot deep concrete pit in the crawlspace under a home we were considering buying my wife took my cell phone from my coat pocket and called my father to tell him, [add sobbing] "Papa! Edward is BROKEN!"

I heard her but was surrounded by firemen and paramedic rescue personnel so couldn't get to the phone until another 45 minutes or so when we reached the ER of the area hospital.  He had heard the FD and ambulance people talking and was freaking out.

Kuna , it is not an egg like an egg- it is the heat that can heal some soreness. I used HOT eggs or small bags with HOT salt to cure some deceases of my kids.So it about the heat.

Perfect example!  This is cute, Doll.  Since when can deceased be cured??    And with the plural being used in the post, how many deaths are we talking about??      And which ones were cured and which were not??      I love it!
