Well, BC, I still see it as her show. I get to help, like "an assist" in basketball. What can I do? I can find out information, tell her what I think she should do, but like I told her today, get ahold of your lawyer and let her do her thing. But I tell you, BC, I heard some things today like I155 and I130 and that was about it for me. I now have to go look and find out what the heck those are. I thought they were Interstate highway numbers. I-90...now we got that one here. It runs from Seattle to New York.

I'll get up to speed on this stuff. I don't get ruffled about  anything.

I-130 : Petition for Alien Relative :  http://uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/i-130.htm

I-155 : It is a stamp on passport !!! Along with the I-94 or passport, it is a little like a green card  The actual green card (it's pink  ) should arrive in about 3 months...

Immigration and naturalization forms I-155 and I-151 ( green card ) are issued to aliens who have been granted permanent recidence status in US. The expiration date  indicates when the card expires and must renewed. It does NOT indicate that the alien stastus has expired. The alien retain his/her status as Legal Permanent Resident ( LPR ) while in USA.

Thanks for that, Bruno. What we were told today by the agent that we spoke to was that the green cards were taking up to a year to deliver. I asked what to do in the  meantime because her visa expired soon. He said to take the passport to the nearest office and they would extend the visa until the green card arrived. We established that she was granted permanet residence status. That was never in question. As I said before, and her lawyer said it best, "larrisa screwed up by going back to Russia too soon." Unfortunate as that was, larrisa, had no other choice, she had to return to Russia prematurely.
