No, it doesn't make you a bad guy, just really really shallow. But if you want to cut through the red tape....why don't you do this. Since you really really want a hot babe model type of woman that is basically an air head. Go and get yourself a blow up doll and have it tailored to your specifics as far as hotness and model type....going this route there is no need to for visa's, k-1's, interviews, hell there is no marriage involved and there is no travelling involved either, she probably even comes nicely wrapped for you via postal service.....ah now that is true Mail Order Bride service for you. Sorry to bring the bads new to you, but alot of people work 2 jobs and lot of married couple are 2 income earners.
Don't you think that they would care about who they marry also and not just the first guy who can give them a better economical standing?

Apartments are dumpy - somewhat true but not I am not sure you could afford the nice ones in Kiev.  Doubt you have several million dollars to spend on apartment.

I'm guessing you would think there is plenty more stupid than you? Don't we all think thus? You want a hottie and you suggest all men are similar? You are largely right IMO but with the personal definition of hottie being the variant. You suggest any right minded woman would want a better life than slummy apartments and other undesirable aspects of some lifestyles in certain parts of Ukraine. Again, you are right.

The key to this is those in your league and more stupid are providing them with exactly that. 5 guys in a week buying 2K fur coats is a piece of cake for a hottie who is prepared to hook to the stupid punters. Triple that if she is working more than 25 hours per week. Now my maths is not wonderful but that seems to add up to about 30K per week in goods and or services, not to mention 5K in cash here or there. OK, will chop it down by 50% on the basis of economic crisis. I'm still coming up with 15-20K per week.

It would be reasonable to assume that she might run the risk of having to put out for payment (Read, fur coat) from time to time so we'll further calculate she may only work 3 weeks per month. Lets see? 36 weeks per year at 15-20K per working week, 500K per year bottom line and perhaps more. And.................here you are suggesting a woman would be mad to reject your offer of the good life in USA.

Bottom line is she has a way sight better life hidden away, well out of your sight than you have any hope of ever providing and she probably goes home to her local boyfriend/s when she is done with the idiots. Where do you find the hottie who is going to stay that way and stay with you? I'll give you an answer 10 years or so from now when I learn if I am man enough to have kept my hottie that length of time. How do you detect the scammer? IMO they are much like many guys who go in leading with their smaller head, they are easy enough to spot because they lead similarly with the difference being the weapon of choice is tending more concave than convex.

jfarinha,  You seem to overlook many things, but here is just one.  Should you bring to the US the type of woman you are chasing, one who comes just because you can offer her a "better life", don't you think that once she gets here she can find many men who are better looking and much richer than you?  If she is coming to the US just to upgrade her life, why do you think she will settle for you when there would be many opportunities to upgrade once she gets here?  She would last until the first $100 bill is waved at her.

I just returned to the U.S. after a fantastic trip to the Ukraine! I'll start a clean thread with details on the trip. Already planning my second one!!

@ Jafarinah...I don't mean any disrespect, but could you kindly keep your advice to yourself and NOT post on my threads? I have no interest in what you have to say. Period.  If you've only been to the Ukraine 1 time, you've got nothing to add to what I've learn from my own trip.

I spent a couple of years in Ukraine travelling around and having been to most of their major cities, Odessa was up at the top, a great city, the least Soviet of them all and the most cosmopolitan. I hope you had a great time!!

Welcome Max.  I would think the whole point of traveling in Ukraine would be spending time in those cities that are the least cosmopolitan and most "Soviet"  You can find the other in any Western European city.
