Bad news is this, I started googling everything I could think of and the scammer isn't smart enough to change stories....And final there it was, same letter, pix and all, and posted by a guy that got burnt on Craigslist.

It is quite possible that you were never communicating with a woman. 

One more word of advice - when starting this venture, write more than one woman.  From the variety pack, a compelling favorite will probably emerge.

Good googling Mark.  Remember that virtually everyone has phone access these days in Russia and Ukraine--so when you hear the "no phone" line something is not quite right.  Cell phones are all over the place.  And when you factor in that she has internet access but no phone access that something does not quite smell right.  Even back 6 and seven years ago most girls I spoke with who lived in small villages had phone service and the nice girls DID want you to phone them.

Several of us received the same exact letters, with only our names replaced. Aslo the same letter was used under another name with different pix. If you wanna see the whole sorted story and all the pix, google gynecologist in alekseevka. Its all there. Pic in yellow is one many of use received and the other is what I assume to be the real girl from the datiing site.

In your case, you saw something that made you think something was up, pursued it until you had your answers. Good job. 

I still have a question for you that you didn't answer. Did you ever *ask* her for her contact information such as address and/or phone number, and then she gave you an excuse as to why she can't either give out that information, or speak to you?  All you said about this is "Remote village".

1) As mentioned all in this thread, if a lady will not give her contact info, that is a flashing neon red flag and that little voice inside the newbie mind should be immediately moving on.

2) If a babe contacts you from an internet ad not specifically targeted at FSU ladies, it's not an immediate indication of a scammer because there are some sincere ladies who do make first contact, BUT, it is an indication to first, look at yourself in the mirror, then look at her photos, when you stand beside each other, would you even marginally resemble a normal looking couple? If not, then that is another little warning sign. Second, Simply proceed with caution, do the google searches, and listen to that little voice/ gut feeling if it begins to tell you "something isn't right here".  Unless you are overly paranoid, that voice will almost always be correct.

3) After 1 and 2, move the discussion toward meeting.  There are very few FSU ladies who want seemingly endless letters... they want to meet you in person, develop relations in reality and not a pen pal.  That's when you'll generally flush out a scammer, or a trip jumper -  "oh, I will come to you, send me money", or "Let's take a beautiful trip to some exotic location so that the memories of our first meeting will live in our hearts forever" yadda yadda ya.

4) As mentioned all over the place, don't send money.

5) if it's too good to be true (look at you, look at her) then there likely is not a sincere interest in you but rather a scammer, a GCG, a gold digger, a pro dater, etc etc..

The one exception to number 5 is that a lady with children will tend to expand her criteria in the looks department to gain stability for the kids.  But even then, if she's a doll, and you're Quasimodo, you might want to stick with ringing a different bell (IMO) because the chances are that she will not love you (though she would marry you trying to convince herself that she will grow to love you, but the real odds of that are pretty slim).

Hey Daveman, thanks for the continued help. Wish I had found this site sooner. No I hadn't ask for contact info. Now that you all have cleared my head on this whole thing, I now will ask much quicker for that kind of info. Im not ready to give up on this search yet. But you all have been a big help. I will disagree with you on one thing, never think someone is too good for you solely on looks. Ive seen many couple that I wouldnt really put together looks wise. And, hey Im a good looking guy. lol But seriously I do know where you are comming from.

I googled "gynecologist in alekseevka'. One guy posted the link to a girl's public photo album That girl probably even doesn't know that somebody uses her photos from her public photo albums

Looks like a real pistol to me.  

My wife loves shooting for sport and regards my hand-me-down S&W 9mm as hers now.  She completed both a ladies introductory course and the Tennessee's required Concealed Carry course in January and is looking forward to getting her own permit when she gets settled in our new home. Then she wants to try some competitive combat shooting (IDPA and IPSC) as a family activity.  

Unfortunately, she keeps picking up my .40 whenever I put it down.

its a pity that a good thing called craigslist has become the realm of international scammer gangs.  The Moscow site is totally infected, both in the dating section as well as the apartment rental section.

ON CL Moscow dating, w4m and rants and raves there are many men posting photos and complaints about scammers.  There is also some guy out of florida that is funtioning as a marriage agency, or matchmaker, but clearly is not following IMBRA rules and I suspect does nto even have a business liscence.  I once wrote to him to ask some questions, very direct and to the point questions, and his responses were hostile, so, I am pretty sure he is just as much a scammer as any other..

I feel bad for the gentleman who got caught in this web of lies.  But, from what I have heard he would not be the first to get interested in the lovely FSUWs because of a scam attempt.  Anyone here have a similiar story?  Scam attempt that led to a serious search and marriage?

Finally, I would say that ANY contact from an FSUW via CL is probably going to end up proving to be a scam attempt.

That is not good shooting form.

1. Slide bite on a real pistol with that grip
2. both thumbs should be married on the side of the weapon
3. full extension of the arms, no good
a. causes more fatigue on the arms
b. easier to knock away weapon
c. takes longer to get to that position
4. 2 fingers on the trigger
5. should not be flat footed and front knee is locked
6. feet should not be more than shoulder length apart
7. she would get tagged and bagged

AHHHH - Thought you were talking about GOB's avatar picture of his wife shooting and was trying to figure out what you were talking about. 

Yes, in Ukraine the 4 and 4.5mm weapons are common enough. CO2 weaps (costing from $80 to $180 shoot the little typical air rifle pellets we grew up with while the actual cartridges are BB's mounted on an extremely slim cartridge of about .16 caliber. Anyone can buy them it seems. I have had students (guys only, no gals) carrying them in briefcases or those cute little manpurses lots of guys have here.

She (wife) enjoys the range and thinks the IPSC and IDPA competition setup are interesting. Right now I'm recovering from knee surgery and complications so prefer the bit more sedate IDPA matchups.

My son was looking at the film clips on youtube and thought it would be more challenging than the training their ROTC equivalents do. His gun safety mentality would get him expelled and banned from every range I have ever been to though so have to work on his attitude before putting him out there.

Can hardly wait until I get a couple of carbines for her to play with.....

Got to admit the popsicle shot was one of my favorites that I received. lol Also, I guess Im not the only one that notice the weight this girl is putting on. I have pix were she looks smokin' then the beach shots are another story. I really feel bad for this girl though. She is doing nothing wrong, and the thing that physically attracted me to her was the softness in her eyes in those garden shots with the yellow tank top. I hope this whole thing doesnt come back to haunt her.
