Here's a collection of Russians speaking English: http://web.ku.edu/~idea/europe/russia/russia.htm. I'd think that sample 'Russia Four' is the closest there to what is referred as 'sexy' accent - the young female voice also helps, of course .

Thank you for the thorough explanation of the pronunciation, Sandro. I did listen to the Russian Four sample. The lady does have a very strong Russian/Ukrainian accent. I think my accent is not so strong any more... And yes, you are right, the young female voice helps a lot!

BTW, that reminded me of another aspect, i.e. English sounds that foreigners may have difficulty with, for instance the -TH- often pronounced з.

the 'sexyness' of a foreign accent is often due to the 'quaintness' of its sounds/rhythm to listeners with a different mother tongue...

Russia Four is much too choppy for my tastes.  I think the Russia Eight voice/accent is very sexy, followed by a tie between "three" and "six".

What the heck am I doing wrong! All the Russian women I've helped to learn English lose their sexy accent when speaking English!!! I need to have them immediately listen to women on the IDEA website and regain it. That is my curse apparently, I speak English with no accent and now I am training them to do it as well.

That's what you think , and I did so, too, until I heard myself on tape (I was recording a live performance in a club, and there were bits of spontaneous conversation inbetween music pieces): I discovered that my faultless Italian had a decided Milanese slant .
