You guys can go get with the foxbororough ministry and cry about the abomination, but, the fact remains that in almost all societies about 10% of the population is gay.

 

Sculpto....I am sure the Commandant of the Marine Corps will share your enthusiasm about the knowledge that 10% of his Officers and Enlisted Men are definitely Gay (according to you).   

Oh yeah, here is a little ditty that I remember from the Bill Clinton days (you remember that "pesky" era of our history, the don't ask don't tell policy).

An objective and candid response.  

Although you were pushing the envelope in a couple of areas, you deserve the benefit of the doubt.  BTW, I will frequently consult gay reviews when considering a new restaurant, film, etc. – they have impeccable tastes.

Enough gay talk, and back to your future.  Possible reasons for your lack of success:

-   the dating scene has changed since my last VM trip in 2006 (this is your primary explanation),

-   you did not do a good job of arousing the interest of the RW during the correspondence stage, 

-   and/or the young ages of the RW.
   
A couple of RWD members suggest that you differ from the typical RW’s concept of a man.  So what! You sound like an interesting and unique person, and I am certain there are many “different” RW who would be happy with you.  Finding them is another issue.  I guess you will have to keep looking and obey the law of large numbers (i. e. VM) to find that special lady.

Judging by your avatar, you would have found this RW interesting.  Alas, she is your age (one little dig in parting).

Guys, who told you that one should be scared exactly of skinheads? Nice clean pro-Putin young men from Nashi or Iduschchiye Vmeste (Marching Together) are not skins, but much more scary in my book. THey are the ones who'll stop at nothing to preserve and protect the intrinsic Russian values against the Western vice and dirt.

I don't like Nashi and other such groups, but I still would not to meet a group of skinheads in Russia at night and have them mistakenly think that I am a foreigner or a gay man.

Hey now, that upside down lady looks like she's just my style!  :-)  There's one rule I live by now that I have aged slightly. "Don't do anything which places your ass above your brain"...  

Wow, I go off to grab a 6-pack, come home with a keg, pass out for a couple days, and awake to a discussion about homosexuality.   Who really give's a rat's popka?  not that we carry bags of rat's popki around for charitable purposes or anything.

DaveyJ, good luck in the future. Whether in FSU or USA, or wherever. Live and learn. You went, you saw, you got conquered (I have been handed my ass on a platter a few times in this process too. It happens.)  Think about it. Make your necessary adjustments, and improve yourself in all relevant ways from the experience.

Jeez - tough crowd.  If I didn't know better I would think that it doesn't matter what I say - certain people will simply continue to pick something which serves their purpose and ignore everything else I have said....
 

Yeah it's a tough crowd.. but what would they do without ya?? bob for pickles or take sneak peeks for willies at the next urinal?

Can't please everyone all the time and when anything close to the topic of sex, politics and religion comes along it's a free for all.

Just be like a duck, get those good nuggets floating around and let the rest roll off your back.

It's great to have constructive critique, even tough from a TR but certainly don't feel like you have to somehow justify each and every action.. you did what you did, reported it, got some comments and that's that.
