So what do you think the chances of Kevin getting back up to full speed if he consulted with doctorlove and his interpreter/s?  :P

Or will that be hugely counter-productive?

Way too premature GQ..

Ahhh, quite right, I suppose...

We'll be here to help the Kev out whenever he feels he's ready.

It would certainly make for an epic T/R though...

Therapy itself is nothing more than a relationship of trust, and building upon that an "openness" between two people where one happens to be a therapist, the other a client, creating a safe place for one to explore possibilities and, in one's own time frame, to realize, understand, see, and accept the true value and absolute worth in and of one's self.
One of the reasons why psychotherapy hasn't become as popular in Latin countries as in Protestant countries is confession ;), an  opportunity to outpour one's problems into a more or less sympathetic ear which is completely FREE.
:puke:

Granted that the confessional pew is not as comfortable as a therapist's couch - one is kneeling rather than reclining - but therapy does not involve any costly meds either, only reciting a few Hail Marys and Pater Nosters :D.

Thanks, GQBlues, from "the Kev" himself (I also go by "KT") ...

Who's "doctorlove" and what's a "T/R"?

BTW, it just occurred to me while scanning through my latest crop of "messages" on Dream-Marriage:

"D-M" should really stand for "Dream MODELS", 'cuz they're more MODELS than "Elena's" are ...

Kevin

P.S.  I just got an e-mail from RWprimer related to D-M:

Advice?  Suggestions?  Comments?

Any and all are welcome -- including from you, Gator ... ;)

Kevin

P.S.  I'm having trouble typing much here ...

Kevin,

Joining RWD does not obligate you to post a minimum number of words each week.

You came here as a novice.  You had questions about RW.  You have bared your soul.   You made some acquaintances.    You received overwhelming advice to avoid RW.  You agreed and removed your profile from EM.

All of the above is good.

Now comes the question:  how can I continue to participate in a forum whose basic focus is dating and marrying RW?  You will have none of the typical questions of a newbie about traveling to the FSU, writing RW, etc. You will have nil to contribute based on your RW experiences.

Thus, you will find yourself becoming less and less involved at RWD.

You have an excellent style for participating in Internet forums.   Did you find your participation at RWD as therapeutic?  If so,  why not take those skills and join a forum more relevant to your interests.

The door is open here for you always.  Don't forget that.  You still keep your free membership at RWD.  Many RWD members will want to know how you are doing.  So please return every now and then and tell us what's happening in your life.  Use this thread.

Looking forward to reading about your progress,
Gator

Interestingly, he only posted 15 times, and
yet his intro thread went on for 13 pages:

The Kev-

Pick up the que from Ranetka. I think it's perfectly suited for you. Join a dance studio and learn to dance. My wife and I joined a dance studio and are enjoying Argentine Tango. I really love the jitterbug and thinks it's much too cool to do but she's not too coordinated and it's too tough for her with a lot of the fast moves required with that principle. In dance studios, people have the passion for the dances in mind over and above any trivialities. Sensualities will be clearly revealed in a non-verbal approach.

Stick around the forum and get involved in discussion not fully related to dating FSUW. Bright guy like you, chances are you can contribute to other subject matter very nicely. Show the other side of The Kev. Your wit is always welcomed.

In the meantime, get yourself busy with other things life has out there for you to grab on. Heck, even my cats do things other cats won't...like help me pack our stuff when we first started our move. She was so exhausted she literally fell asleep in the middle of the move. Pic below...

Besides, there's a cute recently divorced blonde out there in Orlando, of all places, who also happens to have an affinity for someone with a 6'1", 190 lbs profile. 2 kids but with 150 mil, on the rebound and still darn sexy. Ooh-la-lah! Yum.

As with DJ, I'm just around the corner to give you a nice kick in booty whenever you feel the need for one... ;)

ps Don't rely on thread counts in internet forums relating to you personally to measure your worth. This is a brand new day, live it until the next one, then do it again...

Not that I am accusing you - just that you mentioned it frequently so that when I saw the smiley, I felt it appropriate to add.

The only meditation-inducing 'dance' I know of is that of the whirling Sufi Dervishes, whose constant and regular motion is said to promote a trance-like state ;D:

The essential idea is - one is perfectly fine like he is. There is nothing to change, nothing to improve, observe who you really are and do not beleive anything you used to think about yourself.
Ranetka, I don't know from what source you picked up those platitudes but, except for the last two - that contradict the two previous ones, BTW - they do NOT much taste like ANY flavour of Buddhism that I know AT ALL.

I don't know if you're familiar with āryāṣṭāṅgamārga (the Noble Eightfold Path), the main Buddhist vehicle to enlightenment, it is quite demanding for those who follow it, with none of the self-complacent attitudes you indicate above :-\.

If one strives for enlightenment, this simply means that one is well aware of NOT having obtained it yet, otherwise why waste time and effort?

As for Zen, you might know that it is the last historical form of Buddhism doctrine due to geographical distance - it arrived in Japan originally from Korea almost a thousand years after Gautama's preachings, which first reached India, Tibet, Sri Lanka and China outside of his Nepalese birthplace. Which, incidentally, means in all religions a more 'diversified' approach, and often forms of syncretism as for instance in Tibet, where it is liberally mixed with their previous animistic religion, Bön, and its devils and spirits.
Quote
Zen is a school of Mahāyāna Buddhism. The Japanese word Zen is derived from the Chinese word Chán, which in turn is derived from the Sanskrit word dhyāna, which means "meditation" or "meditative state."...The emergence of Zen as a distinct school of Buddhism was first documented in China in the 7th century CE. From China, Zen spread south to Vietnam, and east to Korea and Japan. As a matter of tradition, the establishment of Zen is credited to the South Indian prince-turned-monk Bodhidharma, who came to China to teach a "special transmission outside scriptures, not founded on words or letters"...Zen was not introduced as a separate school until the 12th century, when Myōan Eisai traveled to China and returned to establish a Linji lineage, which is known in Japan as Rinzai. Decades later, Nanpo Shōmyō

12th century Japan saw the emergence of their feudal system based on the Shōgunate and the samurai, not quite a non-violent period ;). Why did I say that Japanese Zen Buddhism is violent? I prefaced my previous post with the exclamation Mu! which should be well familiar to a serious practicer:
The specific enlightenment technique employed by most Japanese Zen masters is the koan, a proposition impossible to answer logically, oftentimes a true paradox. What does one answer to Mu!, the most famous Zen koan? It could be "My sister's teeth are aching today" or any other nonsensical response, what is important to the Zen master is not the pupil's answer but his/her attitude while answering.

Hence the mental violence I was basically referring to.

Sandro, I really can not give you a quick answer to this one.

There is no contradiction. Enlightment does not come from the outside, you do not need to acquire it, it's already within you, you need to let it "out". "One" is born perfect and already has everything "one" need.

Something like that. Words, terminology and history are larglely irrelelvant :-)
There are shortcuts to happiness and dancing is one of them.

I do resent the fact that most people never question or think for themselves. I don't want to be normal. I just want to find some other people that are odd in the same ways that I am. OP.

OK, let's say the diamond is already within you, has always been, and always will be.

The problem is: how do you bring it out to the surface, if there's "nothing to change, nothing to improve"?  ;)

You discover who you really (already) are. You do not need to "create" some new stuff, you need to act the way nature intended you to be. It;s not an improvement, one is fine already.

Sorry I probably can not explain this.

Might that word you seek Ranetka is 'Ki? One that rest within you and all one need to do is find the balance within oneself? Life energy....

I'm not familiar with Buddhism despite the fact my first step-Pops did in fact turned to becoming a Buddhist monk. He then gave all our wordly possession saying only it was a token gesture for the purification of our humble existence.

Good thing I kept my Jimi Hendrix collection intact.... ;)

Do you mean Qi or Chi, i.e. "vital energy", the Chinese equivalent of Sanskrit prana?

WARNING: :offtopic:

Does anyone know why so many Ukrainian girls (on D-M, at least) seem to have "straight-cut" bangs?
That is, hair above the eyes that's cut straight across (horizontally) at, or below, eyebrow-level?

I've not noticed this "look" to be nearly as common in the U.S. ...
