If he was using abelarusbride agency there is a $1295 fee just to start emailing the lady.  It would only be natural to make a little extra effort to make things work with that kind of initial investment.  If he has the time and money, I see nothing too wrong with his report.  It is better to give it too much time than not enough.  As he said all along, things weren't looking as well as he had hoped for.  There were negatives, but maybe the lady had some positives also.

Excuse the interruption, but were you using abelarusbride?

Yes

An astonishing revelation.  I don't recall a trip report in which a high frontend fee was paid to an agency.  This is an interesting twist.

I really would like to know more.  I amost went this route in 2002.  A couple of men have talked about doing it but never wrote a trip report.

Eric, please continue.  I think the vast majority will try to restrain any hecklers.  Of course, at the conclusion, opinions and attaboys and criticisms will fly.  Go for it!

AJ,

Thanks.  You are indeed a fan of trip reports.

I missed it while preparing for the  arrival of a tall Cossack making her three-week WOVO trip to Florida to see how I live.

so once folks are done 'huffing and puffing,' and throwing out their versions of Utopia style puffery, and need to sit back and 'catch their proverbial breath'. Then I'll continue.

Ecr844,

Is 844 the amount of acres you own? Where I originally come from on would only purchase land in certain provinces.

Every story on this forum sharpens us newbies, equips us for the hunt. Two knives sharpen each other…I am sure a wonderful lady has your attention already. Nobody blames you for being busy  ;)  But it would be great for the new guys if you conclude, or sharpen us further…

Now ya'll have scared him off  :o

what did Sandro say about the other guy who used this marriage agency??
"you got royally focked".
since he got "royally focked", I don't think he is coming back.
why would anyone pay $1250.00 to an agency, when the going rate for an introduction
is about $50.00?
it seems that no matter how much good information there is here, some guys will just not heed good advice.

I still don't understand why any normal man needs to pay anything for an introduction.

(2 cents please)

I 'get it' that this TR was also posted at RUA and has been idle and incomplete for some time - weeks or more, I guess.
- Dan

I'll write it here once again for the comprehension impaired......  I also wrote that I would finish it here. I will. This would be to any reasonable reader, fairly clear concise easy to understand prose. Hopefully the second time around it'll sink in and maybe last a little longer in the collective memory...... For those with difficulty remembering they should reread this post.
I've now written on multiple occasions in more than one thread that it will continue. How would you prefer I phrase it to be more clear than I already have? Is there another form of delivery you think would be more effective?..... so once folks are done 'huffing and puffing,' and throwing out their versions of Utopia style puffery, and need to sit back and 'catch their proverbial breath'. Then I'll continue
.

Promises, Promises... :rolleyes2:

Not sparing me Tim360, the OP is depriving some NEWBIE out there of his "failure" or "success" story (and all the details). ;)

He has been gone for 50 days but he probably checks from an account that does not register him like a blackberry.

Hopefully he has been writing the rest of his story.
