Yeah, that was my German ex girlfriend.  She was very critical.  Everything I said was stupid, and I couldn't do anything right.  I didn't like the idea, I'd come home from work to a woman that's going to tell me how pathetic I am.

I also know lot of other Russian words and phrases not to be said in polite company.  Some I learned on the street, and from a Russian swearbook.

The funny thing is, we always have guys writing about how goddess-like their RW is. Often, when they post the pictures, you see a very average face. But there is something unique about faces. An average face with a loving smile is a beautiful thing. Sometimes we see beauty where we did not see it at first, or where others don't. I think many guys may start the search looking only at hotties, but end up with someone a little more average in looks (albeit with the added beauty that youth brings).

Maybe it is from our days as a baby, the fist thing we recognized was the face of our mother, our caregiver. That face(shape) was the face of love and feeding and touching. However ugly momma may have been, her face made us happy. I think the way that RW treat us turn an average face beautiful to us.

I guess my point is we are not all as shallow as some would want to think.

A fiancee,

As far as I'm concerned the u instead of you, is uust fine. i do believe in correct english but you are still learning and many americans write that way on the 'net. It is better to learn the proper way to communicate in writing, but it is not annoying and this is not English 101.

I did not look for  a wife abroad, some scammer dropped a letter in my-e-mail and I tried a letter for fun from elenasmodels.com and my wife and I began to correspond and bothn wanted to marry someone. It was not intended and I was glad to be welcomed after being thrown off by my 3-time losing ex-wife!

But, as difficult as it has been, ithas also been very gratifying to be married to someone from The FSU. It had brought much more interest to my life.

tm33398,

This may not be English 101, but it helps of others can understand what you wrote.  I have no idea what you are trying to say here.  Did you marry and divorce a RW?  Was she a 3 time loser?  Was she from Elena's models?  I am confused.  Can you please clarify?:noidea:

This question comes up time and again, and I always want to answer, "Big Hooters."  Some day I'll have the nerve to actually post that.

[color="blue"][size="4"]JP. LoL,

It is kind of like the saying "No job is to big, No fee is too big". I never had the guts to print that on a business card.

Wanted - beautiful, sexy, intelligent, unassuming, easy to please girl with Big Hooters. :clapping:

If that is indeed the case, then you better stick with Ukrainians, Jay.  (That advice as per my Russian wife!):toocool:

Another silly fable, re size of breasts Ukrainian vs Russian.  I have sampled over 30 in each group at which point the student t distribution approaches the normal distribution.  There was no statistically significant difference at the .01 level of confidence.

There is hope for all of you.  If your Russian wives were to meet and interact with Ukrainians here in the USA they would have alot more in common than with just about any other people.  I have visited Ukraine and Russia and as far as I am concerned Kiev and Kharkov were pretty much Russia to me.  Plenty of pretty girls everywhere, same language pretty much, similar foods, similar architecture, similar modes of transportation, similar apartments, similar customs, culture etc. - and when I say similar they are closer to the same than similar.

My wife's best friends in the USA are all Ukrainian Jews and that is way more of a stretch.  They are our neighbors to our immediate right.  After our baby daughter was born one gave us one whole garbage bag of clothes and the other gave us two huge garbage bags filled with clothes.  They both had recently had daughters or grand daughters, so some of the clothes were used, but alot was brand new.  They have helped out my wife since day one.  If she has any lingering prejudice I believe that aspect is long gone.  The Belorussian neighbors to the left suprisingly are not the favored ones - though they are friendly :)

Albert,

KenC

- - - - -

To clarify:  Over 30 pairs of Russian and 30 pairs of Ukrainian.

Actually there can be a difference in the individual components making up the pair . . .  depending if the gal is right or left handed.  A large difference can sort of freak you out.

And this sub-thread started out about difference in boob size.  Now others are just stating that their RW don't like UW.  What has that got to do with boob size?

Come on guys, let's be honest here.  There is a whole pecking order for the fsu countries from a Russian view point.  Of course Moscow (being the center of the universe:D) is at the very top with surrounding cities next in line.  The countries might be listed like this: Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova with the Baltics and the "stans" all tied for last.

Yes Ken, on this sub-topic, you are correct.  But this thinking by Russians is kind of funny because the Baltics actually have one of the highest standards of living of any of the FSU areas.  When I was in the Baltics I was amazed that most all of the gals I met with had their own cars.   Haven't met with many others in other parts of FSU with their own vehicles.

Same pecking order as their government's alignment with Moscow. I wonder if there is any relationship??

I still think it is a bit like how the US regards Mexico, or western Europe regards Spain.

It seems no matter where you go, there are some who feel compelled to regard others as 'inferior' in some way - in a feeble attempt to gain some sense of superiority.

But then again - I could be totally and completely wrong and the Russians really ARE superior somehow. I wonder if they realize their 'nobility' all migrated north from the first Slavic empire, the Kyivan Rus, back about 2000 years ago.

I didn't know much about this dislike by Russians of Ukrainians until I spent a month in Turkey with a gal from St Petersburg a few years back.  A Ukrainian gal and her guy had the apartment just below ours.  She was quite vocal when orgasm time came.  The first couple of times it worried me because I thought maybe she was being attacked by someone unknown, the way she was screaming.  But my Russian gal just shrugged it off and attributed it all to the 'Ukrainian Cow.'

But subsequently, I have spent more time in Ukraine than in Russia, and I do not find anything like the 'Ukrainian Cow' stereotype.  I am quite attracted to Ukrainian gals . . . . two of them have been probably my favorite out of over 155 FSU gals I have spent time with.

I had been reading a book on early Russian history and although what you say is true, the original ruler of Rus was a Viking named Rurik and the capital was Novgorod.  It was Rurik's heirs that later moved the capital to Kyive.

I should have known better than to joke about "hooters" here!

Yet, on the topic of economics, I do think that the standard of living improves as you go West.  That would be based on my observations traveling throughout Russia, Ukraine, and the former block countries.  Even within the countries themselves, there is a marked difference in the economics of the East versus the West.

However, to answer the actual question posed by the thread, I have a simple answer.  I do not look for a wife abroad.  On the contrary, I would be very happy to find the right person anywhere.  I enjoy Slavic culture, I enjoy learning the language, I have met some incredible people (romantic, platonic, etc.), I enjoy my travels, but I am anything but obsessed with marrying anyone from any particular nationality. *shrugs*
