I've research Fiancee Visas and don't think that I want to go that route cause you have to have Met in person (receipts, pictures together, essays, etc). Too much approval this approval that over 9 months of documenting, submit this, submit that.

I Believe that I would rather fly to Moscow, and marry her there. This way is a b!tch too, with the notary, the stamps, the waiting 6 days, then going back in 32 days. I only have one week of scheduled vacation left to be taken in late September. A plane (connect flight) to Her isolated town would cost $2000+ round trip. The flight time is over 2 days, so 4 days of flying (connecting) and 3 days of visiting with her and her family, plus they might just kill me or rob me, who knows? Her siblings all seem to have AKs or a fascination with boxing/fighting. Plus it's ridiculously cold there in late fall/winter sometimes -35. I could easily be left for dead.

I've been studying Russian for 1 and a half years, first using Rosetta Stone (as well as many other languages I tried), then Pimsleur, then another generic audio learn while driving one, then Michel Thomas. I study almost Every day now for a couple of months, used to just be once or twice a week. It's almost become second nature, but my (beyond the basics) vocabulary is still lacking, of course.

How do I get her from her far-from-Moscow town to the registrar to sign what needs to be signed, and then head home? uh, after the wedding party. I'm reading that it all must converge on Moscow. We both must be there in person, at least twice, to make it happen.

Looking at the costs (plane, hotel, documents, visas), I may be staring at $10,000. We haven't even met but through out pictures messages. She asked me if I wanted to get married, I was kinda shocked after chatting for only an hour. She Still thinks that we're getting married and is holding out for long run apparently. Her papa messaged me about having her hand and her heart, and told me to make him "offers." I just confirmed that I'd like to marry your daughter.

Seems like an impossibility but I've read several accounts online of how easy it was to marry in Russia. But I am assuming that these non-Russians on business visas or the like, met their spouses in cities within a 100-200 mile radius of Moscow. My fiance is way out there in the sticks. What is the best way to make it happened and to not get killed traveling to the more distant parts of Siberia.

Bokeszy, I think it is too early to discuss marriage.  You need to meet her in person first.  Skype with her, and let her know you want to get to know her better.  Do not, under any circumstances, send her money.

Lots of men before you have visited Siberia and returned no worse the wear (other than down some cash and tired), so it is not likely that will be different for you. 

I do think there are some unusual things in your correspondence, though, such as a quick request for marriage, and her father asking that you "make an offer".  Russian fathers don't usually ask for cash for their daughters.

I rarely agree with Ade but his comment had me rolling on the floor because I had the same thought.   Before you do anything, please read a LOT of the forum threads.  You have much to learn young man before you venture too far into this unless you have lots of money and just want an experiment!

If you are serious offer him around 15 sheep or 10 camels. Be prepared to bargain.

It's good that you have take time to open a post here in RWD, and it is courageaous. However, and even if you study russian (which is a very good thing) i must tell you that your knowledge about "dating in FSU, getting married in FSU" is like 0,1 %. Your ability to be scammed on the other hand is nearly 100% for what we understand of your maturity about such adventure.
I would advice you to read extensively this forum, in particular section "trips reports" and "scammers and suspect agencies". And stop your fantasy about marriage by internet or in three days in Moscow. You are the perfect nominee for the next scam which will cost you at least 10k.

Ok where my fisrt ost in this topic contained a high level of jest, I will try to explain you why you got these reactions.

First of all, it is extremely unusual for a girl to offer herself in marriage in such a way. I can not say it is impossible as the world is a strange place, but I can say that I have never seen the same situation on any RW forum, and I have been around for 7 years.

Second, there are many cases where people from Russia are trying to take money by promising love and marriage. This is why people will tell you never to send money to someone you did not meet, and even be cautious after your meeting.

Third, some people can correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that marriage can only be performed at a local ZAGS office. With some bribes at the right places this could be circumvented of course, but it would take extensive knowledge for you to find if the marriage is legal or not.

Fourth, if you wish to take her home after the marriage, how do you think to arrange that with visa in your country ?

Please be very careful, as your case really sounds like a way to lose money instead of gaining a wife.
