Now they hide on the Crimea  in a pseudo battle-- against who?

Yep, and they are very welcomed!People know their real heroes, as you know Berkut is now paid here totally from the funds of people who are happy to help those who helped them. these how people met them, so don't remain in your dreams, they don't need to hide.

What makes me laugh is that  misguided people in the Crimea  ...
Whatever you are smoking there, please, stop it and stop insulting Ukrainian people and people in Crimea, as a part of Ukrainian population! It's just disgusting!
People there fear for themselves and their relatives' lives while you are sitting in your safe easy chairs and posting crap about them!
Have just a little respect to them!
Regain consciousness and stop posting your stupid ideas!

There is no insult to Ukrainian people--the "stupid" word refers to the people  that have created this situation-it is specific and not general comment..  I can tell you with certainty that people are absolutely terrified of what may happen-regardless of what a few extremists promote -- most people are scared stiff of what may transpire.
The overiding part is that the stated aims are just a smokescreen for Russian expansion-regardless of the fact it is another countries territory --Russian terratorial ambition is what it is over--that is what is truly disgusting.

As a good pro-Russian, you should change the country symbol under your avatar from the Blue/Gold of Ukraine to the tri-color of Russia. You are definitely not a Ukrainian patriot.

If to be correct in this manner as you suggest, then all of us guys from Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada should also change our flags, to the stars and stripes. I mean if we wanted to show from where our respective political leaderships take their orders from.

Excume me.... what?
No doubts, we just need more territory... We are collecting it.  ;D So why don't get one more region which needs a lot of investments. Caucasia is not enough for us, we are looking for another hole to throw our money into it.  :clapping:
Please, remind me what Ukraine exports? Oil? Gas? Gold? Diamonds? Uranium? If Russia wants Ukrainian territory so much, Russia should get a benefit from it, right? Keep in mind, that Russia is not interested in importing Ukrainian girls, the main Ukrainian treasure.  ;D

Paul Roberts is also consider by many a first class nut case, most of this appointments were several years ago.
I have read a bit of his stuff, I would want a lot more than his words, before i believed it all.

Of course he would be discredited and branded a nut by certain individuals and groups that does not want people to hear his view as it conflicts with Washington. Do you really think corporate media will tell the truth? Not if they want to keep their jobs and careers.

His appointments were several years ago, yes. So what? He's retired. He's 75 years old this year. He doesn't have to answer to anybody. But nooooo, we in the west choose to ignore the elders with experience.

I doubt many even read or listen to what I posted here of Roberts, but if you listened to the interview he talked about the fact that there are still patriots employed in powerful places, but were they to speak out like this, they would lose their jobs.

I have read a bit of his stuff, I would want a lot more than his words, before i believed it all.

Yes, I agree. It's always best to hear from many sources before forming an opinion. But also, I want to tell you that within this particular case, Dr. Roberts, he includes a lot of links and sources.

Reading about "brainwashed" "pro-Russian" and etc., is really funny, mostly because it shows how less, those people who are saying this, know about our mindset, and how much they trust their media.
At the same time, the obsession of some posters just looks scary. I only ask myself why they are still not on Maydan.  :D

Russia and Western Europe both want Ukraine and willing to pay for it. Us small people don't need to understand the benefits of Ukraine but there are benefits. Putin paid Yanukovych billions of dollars and got little return for the money. Crimea is not enough, it's just the beginning. If America doesn't show it'll defend Ukraine with it's military, Russia will take it all back with the reasoning that Yanukovych is its rightful president. I feel sorry for the men who are trying to romance FSU women at a time like this. Anybody in the mood for love?

Look, I have something more funny :D

As to their "deep and correct" knowledges of situation here, this night their own president confessed that they get all info from Ukraine from open sources and they don;t have any personal informator here.

It's you who have to "don't fool yourself", Russia and Ukraine have much more things to share than US and Ukraine. All our reasons just can't be "same".

Some guys here seems to be hypocritical about what happens in Ukraine.
I hope everyone heard the bugged phone conversation in which senior US diplomats expressed very clear ideas about what the outcome should be long before Yunokovish has been overthrown. I'd like to remind some frases:
Quote
Nuland: Good. I don't think Klitsch should go into the government. I don't think it's necessary, I don't think it's a good idea.
Pyatt: Yeah. I guess... in terms of him not going into the government, just let him stay out and do his political homework and stuff. I'm just thinking in terms of sort of the process moving ahead we want to keep the moderate democrats together.
...
Nuland: I think Yatsenyuk is the guy who's got the economic experience, the governing experience. He's the... what he needs is Klitsch and Tyahnybok on the outside.

Now we have exactly the same political status Nuland told about. Yeah,  just a coincidence  :D
I suspect there is tiny info stream  going in US media about the real political situation in Ukraine beyond Kiev. For example how well Donetsk region accepts new Kiev authorities, though to be honest we can't call them "new" :) The same faces like 10 years ago in power.

As for Krym I can't resist the temptation to speak in style of US diplomats. :D
Let the people of Krym to express and fulfill their will at free referendum. We have to respect the right of peoples to decide their fate. Right? Kosovo, right?
Ang legimate president of Ukraine Yanukovich said people in Krym do right things, by the way.

Face of Krym "militia":

Russia and Ukraine have much more things to share than US and Ukraine. All our reasons just can't be "same".

If Putin appointed America's president as he did Ukraine, we'd have many things in common with Russia too. I understand you're proud of your country but don't live in denial. Most people and countries don't want to have things in common with Russia. Most people in this world, including Ukrainians, don't want to live or do business with Putin and Russia if America and Europe are available. Even Russia has problems with their own people leaving or not having families in an economy and environment that's not family friendly. Population declining. Also their circle of friends is getting smaller. So...for Russia to remain prosperous, they need to take some countries by force, and force them to be their friend. I like Russian people but like most people, I don't like your government.

There are shortcuts to happiness and dancing is one of them.

I do resent the fact that most people never question or think for themselves. I don't want to be normal. I just want to find some other people that are odd in the same ways that I am. OP.

One more insult to people of Ukraine

OK, don't tell for peoples. Let them decide it at free referendum like was proposed in Crimea.

Even Russia has problems with their own people leaving or not having families in an economy and environment that's not family friendly. Population declining.

Billy, your post is very reasonable in fact. Nobody idealize Russia even here, where everyone supports it these days. In fact, the choice being made now by people is the choice of less "evil" between two. As to Crimea, nobody takes it by force. It's we who are begging Putin to take us.

By the way, those who mentioned that Russia's actions are illegal. Today MID announced, that all actions of RF on the Crimean territory are legal and are part of joint russian-ukrainian military exercises, coordinated and approved by the legal president of Ukraine, Victor Yanukovich ;D

The only fully armed warship of Ukrainian Navy "Hetman Sagaydachniy",that is coming back to Sevastopol from its mission in Aden, refused to obey to Kiev and cast Andreevsky flag. A little bit earlier, the top officers of the Ukrainian Naval Forces quit their positions refusing to serve to illegal people in Kiev.
