Congrats too.

Thanks Pat.

There were only 3 caucasians there out of 28 gaining Citizenship.

Those three were women who had married American men.
1 from Ukraine, 1 from France and 1 from Germany.

So not all USA men are going to poverty stricken countries to find disadvantaged women; only I did.

Wife received her USA Biometric Passport today.

Now she can travel freely most everywhere in the world.

She will go through Ireland on her visit to Ukraine this summer to look in on the townhouse we own there . . . and won't have to get a visa to Ireland !!!

Her passport picture is about the worst ever, but that's life.

She finished the last of the Spring semester final exams today.
As usual she is saying she probably failed some of them.
This from a gal who has gotten A+ in about 80% of her previous MS and PhD courses and straight A in the rest.

Now she, with my help, will have to grade the one section of Differential Equations that she taught this semester.  I am really good at adding up scores (at least to 100) and recording.  I can even grade some stuff with very clear cut answers.

Another bit of perhaps good news.  One of the highest ranked research professors here asked her if she wanted him to be her main adviser and work with him on some research.  One potential downside is that sometimes such professors work their people to death.  Don't know what his reputation is in that respect, but will investigate.

As I suspected, and despite her typical negativity regarding grades, Ochka got all A grades for Spring 2019 semester in her PhD courses.

Now she is happy spending most all days in her garden.

Got round trip ticket to Kyiv for her end of May visit for about $1,200.  The most we have ever paid, but that was due to us waiting until she had USA passport in hand, so couldn't get best prices that come with early purchases.  justfly.com

From Kyiv, she will make short round trip to Ireland for less than $100 on discount airline with no visa needed due to USA passport.

Due to wife's heavy study schedule, we weren't able to go out for dinner at either USA or Ukraine Easter date.  For first time ever, she didn't even make Paska bread.

Now we have Mother's Day coming.

This morning she asked when and where we were going for Mother's Day.
We settled on that.
Then she said what about the two Easters?
I said we would combine those with Mother's Day.
She said: What about my end of semester celebration.
Me: Combined also.
She: What about gaining my USA citizenship.
Me: Same.
She: What about anniversary of our first meeting (sometime in early May many years ago).
Me: You are probably catching on.
She: What about our, what she calls 'big sex,' (as opposed to the quick everyday sex for her.)
Me: Same day.

She: Just smiled.

Well he actually wasn't there, but . . .

Maxx got me interested in the Keto diet system.  Both wife and I have lost some small amounts, but aren't fully on the system yet as have a lot of stuff to use up first.

However, there are some very tasty recipes on various Keto websites.

We just had one today that was very tasty and very sexy.  We easily follow into the sex trap after such.

Try it . . . but only if you have a reliable sex partner with you.

Creamy Tuscan shrimp  2 servings
1 oz. butter, 1 garlic clove minced, ¾ lb shrimp, 2⁄3 cup heavy whipping cream, 1 ½ tbsp white wine, ½ oz. sun-dried tomatoes, ½ tbsp Italian seasoning, 1⁄3 cup parmesan cheese shredded, 1 ½ oz. baby spinach, salt and ground black pepper, ½ lb green asparagus.
In a large frying pan, sauté garlic in butter until golden and translucent. Add shrimp and fry for a few minutes on each side if it is raw.
It should be pink and opaque. Don't over-cook, or it can become dry and rubbery. Remove the shrimp. Add heavy cream, white wine, finely chopped sun-dried tomatoes and spices. Bring to a simmer. Add parmesan and lower the heat. Simmer for a few more minutes for a creamy consistency.  Add spinach and shrimp and let simmer just until everything is warm.
Clean, trim and chop the asparagus. Boil for a few minutes in lightly salted water and serve with the shrimp.
Add a side of butter-fried mushrooms for a filling, low-carb addition to this already delicious meal!

Sounds like a lot of work. At what point can a shortcut be taken to go straight to sex?

Where does the sex come into it? Unless you’re cooking in the buff?

Almost. ML cooked the meal wearing only an apron. Mrs ML thought he was sexy and wanted to drag him into the bedroom. But she is a woman of common sense and practicality and waited for them to finish their meal for the aphrodisiac quality of the keto shrimp on ML.

Then it was this for Mrs ML

and this for ML.

While he was in his state of bliss he thought, "Who else can I thank besides Mrs ML for this?"

Keto, among its health and aphrodisiac qualities is also known to be good for marriages.

That explains it.
For a moment there I thought the shrimp might have more of a participatory role there. 🤔😳

Spouse will take a side trip from Kyiv to Dublin.

We bought her ticket today on Ryan Air, and then started filling out the profile info.

Question: What is your nationality?
Drop down list first listed all the Euro countries.
Then came the remainder.
Scrolled down to the U's and . . . there is no United States.
Repeated and got same result.
Thinking . . . why no USA?
I know USA and Ireland have a 'special' relationship, so trying to think where USA might be.
Opened another screen and Googled: Why no USA on Ryan Air website?
Nothing.
Then wife says:  Look under American.
I say no, other countries get mad when we say American because that suggests there are no other countries in the American Continents.
But look anyway . . . and she was right, there it said American.
OK, continue filling out blocks.
What country issued your Passport?
Ha . . . can't fool me again, so I head right for top of second listing . . . and no American is found.
Scroll on down to bottom . . . and there is United States.

We Brits get the same with different terms being used interchangeably on the nationality/issuing country questions, though not just with Ryanair. British/Great Britain/United Kingdom seem to be used in a variety of combinations without any real consistency.

Some countries even put 'England' - which rather peeves the Scots, Welsh and N.Irish .

Whilst I HATE Ryanair - ( They make one show a passport to fly between the UK and Ireland - which is not necessary for immigration purposes ) I DO get the choices..

You are American and your nation is called the USA..

Wife got checked in at airport and arrived at departure gate for flight to Ukraine with stopover in Germany.

Just a few minutes later a German gal we know who is married to an AM arrived at same gate.

They will be on same flight into Germany.  Gossip about USA husbands will be thick!!!

Just talked with wife on Skype.
She is staying with friends in Kyiv for a few days so that she can go to dentist, medical, etc., before heading west to her parent's home.
She put another friend of hers on to speak to me briefly.
Told me she asked this other friend to come to visit and now asked her to stay overnight at this home where the host friends don't even know this visiting friend.
I said:  Did you ask the host friends about inviting the visitor over and particularly did you ask them if it were OK to have her stay overnight?
She said:  No.  But I knew they would be OK with it.

Imagine doing this in USA !!!

Ok, I’m lost.

My wife (referred to hereafter as 'she' or 'her') has (with respect to this posting) Friend 1 and Friend 2.
She is staying with Friend 1 for a few days.
She invited Friend 2 to visit her at Friend 1 home without first asking Friend 1.
She then proceeded to invite Friend 2 to stay overnight at Friend 1 home without first asking Friend 1.
Friend 1 and Friend 2 do not know each other.

Thank you, got it.  Last year T was invited to stay in Odessa by her friend (Friend 1) at her friend's friend's house (Friend 2 house).  T didn't know Friend 2 until she got there.

Yes, it is very unusual in the States. I have very good Irish friends (in PA) who are that way, and several Canadian friends, but they are exceptions.

If they are 'Irish' and have lived there more than two generations - they are AMERICANS - seeking a heritage - from an Irishman ;)
