No doubt anyone who calls you on your BS is a troll.  If you had been born in Russia, grew up there and spoke perfect Russian, guess what Jay?  You would be even more of a pro-Putin blowhard then some of the foul Russians who frequently post on social media sites (and allegedly get paid for it).  And why?  Because it's who you really are -- a guy who is incapable of any real analysis based on logic.  Go ahead and blow some more hot air; it's all you do lately.

I don't always agree or even like what Jay or Billy B posts.  But at least they try to back up their arguments with facts and relevant articles.

You just insult and browbeat people.  Why insult someone over the internet?  How very brave . . .

If you want to personalize this, tell us how your search is going.  How many trips have you took?

I seem to recall General JayH demanding US troops on the ground shooting at Russians, all from your safe little nest alone in Australia, but those demands have ceased now!

Fathertime!

Let's not start insulting each other FT.  Its a TOS violation.  One should observe the rules.

The Budapest memorandum required credible commitment to Ukraine.  When Cameron and Obama repudiated the document and Ukraine started to win, Jay back off and said Ukraine just needs armaments and economic aid.  That has been his position for months.

So nice try. . . .

LT got upset with me when I said they were not required and Ukrainian ground forces could do the job required. The exception was if combined special forces could be used-- so NO-- I did not demand USground troops.

Not true.  We disagree on the effectiveness of Western aid to Ukraine on US-UK commitment to nonproliferation.

All you had to do was pull the quote in context...but you haven't been able to do it?  I can't discuss 'something to the effect'...so until you pull the quote in the context of the discussion there isn't much for me to comment on.

I don't find your 'credentials' very important as it pertains to this discussion, but it is funny that you feel the need to tout yourself.  You demanded US involvement, and that would have led to much more US involvement....funny that you can't admit what your screwy ideas were and are currently.   All the while wearing your General cap safely tucked away in your little electric chair alone...jabbering on about misleading stories and wet dreams.

Fathertime!

All you have is insults.  You and AC have never been to Ukraine.  That's a fact.  It doesn't invalidate your argument per set but your insults have done that for you.

Like I said, Billy B's facts aren't always right but at least he tries to make an argument largely without insult.  Your constant bickering and hectoring and distortions expose you as not credible and you bring the whole forum down.

I am interested in your ideas, but you should keep your insults offline.  Thx

AC & FT -collectively you have attempted to misconstrue many things I have said-- as well as invent lies--how childish and petty can anyone possibly be.
Following me around the forum in numerous threads  is trolling--repeating non-facts on personal issues is simply dishonest-neither of you know anything about me--yet you still have the temerity to write as if you do-- can you not see how ridiculous you are?

Deliberateely nit picking posts and repeating OUT OF CONTEXT is a deliberate attempt to ridicule--it is a lying in the worst sense of the word. Incredibly stupid pair of individuals.

Funny how sensitive you are on some topics--like your collective lack of exposure to Ukraine and the FSU overall--yet here you are attempting to hand out advice --like I said --incredibly stupid pair of individuals.

It is not nit-picking your posts....you recently have misstated the oil price (intentionally)...so when you do this you can expect that to be pointed out....of course when you then start bellyaching about past posts, then that opens up another can of worms for you....Yeah overall I think you are acting like a ridiculous armchair General...insisting countries like the US get involved when you aren't even a citizen.

hahaha  I don't care about the argument you and General jayH had, that has little to do with his stated positions early last year...but it is humorous when you go into 'my ears are so sensitive' mode 'please don't insult'!

Why Ukraine wins if Russia goes on the offensive in the Donbas
« Reply #55 on: January 16, 2015, 04:45:31 PM »
Discussion of numbers here-
"

" all indicate aggravation of the situation in the near future is inevitable."

Yes, military expert Konstantin Mashovets not sure what the Russians and terrorists have increased a sufficient number of troops to large-scale offensive. "The numbers are called different. From 7.5 to 8000 featured figure on the Russian military personnel, 40-50 thousand. Ukrainian group of troops and about 19 thousand featured figure on Russian mercenaries. Other numbers I do not know," - said the expert.

But, according Mashovtsya only increase the number of troops not preparations for full-scale offensive: "In order to carry out the attack must hold a range of activities. First is the formation of percussion groups in selected areas. I do not see that until the concentration of the relevant groups, to switch to full-scale offensive action. Local offensives of course possible to perform some tactical problems to improve position or for example to address "debaltsivskoyi problem." But large-scale attack - a completely different order figures completely different structure groups ". However, in the coming months, according Mashovtsya, "is expected to intensification of the conflict, if there is no progress in the negotiations on the implementation of Minsk

Why Ukraine wins if Russia goes on the offensive in the Donbas

"Worsening situation in Donbass, observed last days, makes talking about the likelihood of large-scale terrorist attack Russian-troops. However, this approach will only worsen the situation in Russia and Vladimir Putin

Since yesterday in Ukraine are increasingly talking about the preparation of the offensive in the Donbas. Thus, the chairman of the Committee on National Security and Defence Sergey Pashinsky eve said the first time in the conflict group of illegal armed groups exceeded the number of Ukrainian troops . Thus, according to Pashinsky, you should immediately take the necessary laws, including the mobilization."
For Ukraine probable attack the Russians almost certainly means strengthening military and economic aid. So, everything that Putin can win their attack - this is another piece of Ukrainian lands, while its price may be unaffordable for the Russian dictator."

A hit piece. Garbage.

It does however show how nervous the Kremlin is about the potential for regime change.

And what do you recommend to Ukraine?

Ukraine should immediately leave the NPT and Nuke up.  Hopefully they're already doing their best to get some tactical nukes from somebody (I wouldn't be surprised if they get them from China).

How do you provide effective economic aid to a country with such an endemic corruption problem?

Exactly.  This is why the west is so ruluctant to help Ukraine.  The clock is ticking.

NGO
And how do you get past obstructionist officials who won't allow any work to proceed until certain payments are made?
How do you get past local companies charging inflated prices for work?
Your employees stealing your equipment and materials?

An NGO by itself does not fix these issues.

I can understand that living in Moscow can leave you in a information vacumn--but it is simple enough to see the amount and intent of legislation passed and in the pipeline of the Poroshenko government.

The "evidence" is there.

deccie is right.  Corruption is still a major problem in Ukraine.
After the fall of communism, the biggest mistake Boris Yeltsin's regime made was not to disband the KGB altogether. Instead it changed its name to the FSB and, to many observers, morphed into a gangster organisation, eventually headed by master criminal Vladimir Putin. - Gerard Batten

The difference is that NOW it is being addressed--previously it was promoted.

I am not saying it does not exist now-- but --there is now potential consequences.

It is chalk and cheese compared to what it was-- and no--I am not wearing "pink" glasses.

It is being addressed rather weakly, and whether there are consequences or not depends on who you are.   This is one of the reasons more aid is not forthcoming.

Are they on the verge of economic collapse?  This plays right into Putins hand.
